On moving day, our three movers were professional and careful. They took apart the big china cabinet that I couldn't do, and were careful to put everything in the room that it went to. That's made unpacking a lot easier. They were careful with our stuff, and responsive to our needs, and I can't thank them enough, or recommend them too much!

Soft Touch Review We…read morehired Soft Touch Moving in June 2025 to pack, move, and store our belongings in their "climate-controlled" facility for four months while our new home was being built. About 4 hours into the re-delivery of our belongings by their crew, we discovered that much of our furniture and personal property which had already brought into our new home appeared to be covered in mold. The contamination affected our brand-new home and required professional remediation. As a result, we were displaced and forced to live in a hotel for 50 nights while the issue was addressed. The owner, John Craft, acknowledged to us that our belongings had gotten wet and remained on their moving trucks for a period of time during the hot and humid month of June. Despite assurances from the company's insurance carrier, we have received very little communication or resolution. More than seven months later, we still do not have our belongings and have had to retain legal counsel to pursue claims against both Soft Touch Moving and the insurance company. This experience has been incredibly disruptive to our lives. Based on our experience, we would strongly caution others before trusting this company with their belongings.

From providing boxes and supplies, to pick up and delivery, the service has been stellar. As residents of California, it was comforting to know that our son's belongings would be stored safely over the summer, during winter break when he had to switch dorms and while studying abroad. And, the fees were reasonable. Thank you again! Keep up this great service for future Hoosiers!

If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible customer service and business practices. I went to…read moretheir office to rent a unit. I was shown one with a large entry way, about 8 feet wide. I came back a few days later, on 1 May 12019, and paid for the unit, which including the lock and insurance, came up to $204.00. I was then taken to my unit by Ms Peterson so that I could see the unit, learn the entry procedures and place the lock on the door. When I got to the unit, it was not like the one I was shown days earlier. It had a door about 2.5 to 3 feet wide, much smaller that I required. I explained that this wouldn't work for my needs and asked that I be given a unit like the one I was shown. She said that she would check and get back to me. the following day I received an email saying that they didn't have any other unit available. I went back the following day and requested a refund and they refused, saying that I had already paid for the unit and there was no refund possible. I pressed my case saying not only didn't get a unit like the one I was shown, but I was never told about their no refund policy. The gentleman who I was speaking to, Mr Singleton, began to get loud and was quite rude, continuing to state that there was no refunds allowed, and as long as he had been working there, he had never seen where the company had ever given anyone a refund. When I asked to speak to the manager he refused to put me in contact, saying that he would take my number and if she wanted to call me she would. 5 days later I have still not received a call from the manager. I will never do business with them again nor would I recommend them to anyone.

They were very rude and unprofessional. When we called to pay over the phone the woman was very rude and said it wasn't working hours for her yet, I simply asked did she want the money or not. When we went today to clean out the storage the lock had been cut off, all of my husbands tools were missing and an antique dresser, the place was trashed. Of coarse they did not take any responsibility. I would not rent from these greedy people, they are rude.

We've also had a few smaller moves where we've hired movers just to move the big items. The guys arrived on time. It was March (winter), so cold and wet in Bloomington. I was disappointed that the movers didn't put any runners down to protect the floors. Luckily, I had planned an extra day to get the house cleaned before closing. We had packers the first day, but they didn't finish everything. Finished packing on second day, with movers loading, but felt kinda rushed at the end of the day. Our stuff went into storage for a week or so until we got keys to the new house. They arrived on a Saturday to unload. This is what my husband wrote to them: Saturday's move in went well with one exception: The Indiana University football semi-trailer. As a Purdue graduate, I feel that all my worldly belongings have been contaminated by the residual odor of sweaty IU football players. The mere thought is making me queasy. I am now getting estimates for whole house tent fumigation. We marveled at the hustle your crew showed throughout the day. It was exhausting just to watch. Thanks so much for making this all happen. During unpacking we discovered a glass shelf chipped and a nightstand missing. They promptly paid for those two items. Our belongings are a bit more bruised, but that could be from the wear and tear of moving 4 or more times.
