I called about 10 days before Christmas to schedule an appointment with Lundon and I was requested to come in for a consultation. Fantastic! I should start by saying that the reason I chose Lundon to do my hair was because of her blonde hair, as a blonde myself, I thought she understands color the way a blonde could. The dryness the fading into yellow or even orange routs.. anyhow.. of course it is busiest time of the year and she didn't have an appointment available before the holidays for me... I said to myself, I will endure Christmas, New Years and my birthday with long dark routs just so she can get it done right. So, we discuss about my hair as I came in for the consultation. She said my natural hair is pretty light and she will just brake down my line of demarcation with some lowlight and add some highlight for the balayage - that's what she would be do. Fantastic, I loved what I heard! I said to myself great, she thinks just like me.. so here I go excited and patiently waiting for my appointment. Here comes the day, biggest disappointment! She doesn't do anything she said to my hair, and I leave the salon with orange routs as she lifted my roots with some highlift and throw on a toner - this is exactly what we previously discussed that I did not like about my hair. Please tell me what is the point of the consult of you could care less about that?? Not to mention she said, she didn't have time for my haircut as she walked me down to Allison. How could you not have time to cut my hair when at the time I booked the appointment you had an all day open book??? It's fine lucky me Allison was the sweetest she could be and the haircut turned out much better than the color. Anyhow, so unprofessional I am disgusted by Lundon attitude!!! How does she even maintains her clientele ??? I guess I got what I paid for $250! Lesson learned. read more

I get my color and hair cuts there, which I am pleased with; hoowever, don't use the blow bar, if you want them to use an iron to finish. They will charge $30 extra! I always ask to finish with iron to seal, takes 2 minutes, and they add that charge to the current $40 or whatever they charge now. Drybar and Blow in the area, do not charge for this, included in the blow dry. read more

So many great things to say about this place! The space is amazing. Love the decor. The staff is super friendly! I always, ALWAYS get my hair done by Aysun. She is amazing! I have very thick, wavy, frizzy hair naturally.. and for some reason, no one can work with my hair the right away except her. She works her magic on me! I've moved away a bit far from morristown but I refuse to go to anyone but her still. I still make sure even with the distance I go to her. From what I can tell every time I go in, everyone else there is also working some magic to everyone that walks in. I recommend bloom to everyone!! read more

Bloom is by far the worst salon/business I have ever had the misfortune of visiting. I had made an appt with a stylist 8 weeks in advance. I was unsure of my appt time and sent Bloom an email to confirm (& add an additional service) but no response. 3 days later (5 days before my appt) I called the salon to confirm & was told my appt had been cancelled. The woman on the phone was unapologetic & said they had called to inform me. When I confirmed the number they had on file it was way off from my number. She gave a less than genuine apology for my email going unanswered & for having the wrong number. She offered a different stylist & I reluctantly accepted. When I arrived, I went downstairs for my 1st service, eyebrow shaping. I waited in the salon basement for over 20 minutes & when the esthetician came down she apologized that there was a scheduling conflict & she needed to be upstairs. I am seeing a trend with this salon & scheduling issues. After my waxing, my brows are just okay, thin & not impressive. I wouldn't have her do them again but the esthetician was kind so I left it alone. My hair stylist was friendly as well, however I left with just so-so hair & had told her it wasn't the color I had wanted but I appreciate that she was trying to avoid damage. She assured me that in the sun/natural light it would feel much blonder. After leaving & not being under salon lights, I realized my color color was drab & boring- reminding me of the color of an ace bandage. I felt washed out & made an emergency call to have a colorist come to my home to do an expensive at home service the very next day. I kept my Bloom hair for approx 24 hours. I had noticed strange lines & dots in my color that I just could not live with. Within 24 hours I had paid two expensive bills for my hair. My Bloom stylist also blew out my hair & gave me a VERY light dry dusting with her scissors, not to be confused with a haircut & charged for a full cut. So little hair was trimmed there was no visible hair on my cape or the floor & so little time was put into this cut. I would not have ask for this had a know the stylist considered a 2 minute cut to be worth $104. Here's where the salon really started to amaze me. The reception staff (mainly Anthony) & manager (blonde- didn't catch her name) are SO incredibly rude & unprofessional. For this reason, I urge you to reconsider being a client of this salon. I was a huge inconvenience to the receptionist from the start. While he was counting out the register (in front of clients? I found this odd as it was barely past 5) he seemed annoyed that I was asking the name of a product the stylist had suggested. I waited a long time to pay with the other receptionist while Anthony counted the register. While I waited I looked at product & was never offered help. After paying, I questioned the charge for my cut that I was not happy with & Anthony seemed aggravated that he had to go all the way upstairs to talk to the stylist. While he walked away I asked the other receptionist if he is a manager & she responded "I have no clue- I'm unsure what his title is." How is there no clear definition who is in charge in a business? He called downstairs on their phone system and told the girl to tell me there is nothing they would do about the charge. I asked he come downstairs to discuss & after waiting quite some time he sent the manager down. The manager is condescending & it shocks me that she is in a customer service industry. She told me in a easy tone that I should stick to a stylist who has a rate that I am comfortable paying for. So rude- 1. that is what I booked which was cancelled with NO notification & 2. I had no discomfort with the stylist's rate my issue was the service I had received for that price. This woman should not represent a business. She is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. She belittled me & made me feel like I should be so lucky to be a client at Bloom. The stylist finally came down & suggested I be refunded a whopping $48. I'll take it if it gets me out of this salon nightmare. I canceled the next appt I had booked with the original stylist & told the manager I would never return as she made it clear this is obviously not a fit for me. The way this woman carries herself & speaks to clients is unacceptable. I am glad to never return. I have never left a salon feeling so small & upset by my treatment- salons should be relaxing & pleasant. A rude manager & a snarky receptionist turn lackluster service into a complete disaster. There are several salons in NJ/NYC that will do a great job & value you as a client. Don't waste your time, frustration, or money feeling like Bloom is doing you a favor by taking your business. Do yourself a favor- find a kinder & all around better salon. read more

I started driving an hour to Morristown to see Marissa and now I will never go to anyone else. She is the best, and everyone there is very kind, courteous, and talented. I had an amazing experience at Bloom in Morristown! It all started when I had gotten my hair colored at another salon and they did a horrible job! I immediately booked a consultation at bloom an explained to the receptionist what had happened. He totally understood and booked my consultation the following day with Marylin. I met with marylin and she advised me to get color correction, redo the color and a haircut. The vibe of the salon was great, welcoming, modern. I decided to follow through and book and appointment! The finished product is beyond my expectations. Though the process was long I was relaxed, comfortable and trusted the knowledge and experience of the people that helped me. Most importantly Marylin exceeded my expectations and I will most definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends and family. read more

Great salon. I've gone to a lot of local salons where I have spent four hours for a cut and a gloss because my stylist was seeing three people in between seeing me. This wasn't the case at all at Bloom. Everyone was super friendly and I am the type to not have an issue with having 8 plus inches of my hair cut off-- I trust they are pros and Nicole did an awesome job. She also squeezed me in to get a gloss and managed me and her other clients well. Without a doubt I will be going back to Nicole in the future. It's not cheap-- but I wouldn't want it to be. It's my hair. They also have a menu of drinks which is pretty kick ass! Cannot recommend enough. read more

Bloom is the only good hair studio in all of Morristown! I moved to Morristown about 18 months ago. In the past I had my haircut at Bumble & Bumble in NYC and then closer to where I used to live in Long Island. I never had a hard time finding a stylist before, until I moved to Morristown. For the past 18 months I have tried six different places in Morristown and all were epic fails. The first place gave me a bad cut and each new place just worked off that bad cut and reproduced it - even though I told them it was a bad cut and what I wanted. Oddly enough, the most decent cut I got from those places was also the cheapest at the High End Barber Shop. Bloom was my last hope. If it didn't work out, then I was going to deal with the inconvenience of going back to New York to get my hair cut. Luckily, Bloom exceeded my expectations. Peter actually listened to me and did a masterful job. I just got my hair cut by Peter for the second time and it was even better than the first. Over the holidays my son went for a straightening and a style. Bloom was able to arrange his appt and understand what he wanted by having him text a selfie and a picture of the style (my son lives in Utah); and they still fit him in on the week between Christmas and New Years Day. As with me, they did an amazing job and at a price that was on the reasonable side of what this has costed him in the past. If you're looking for a place to get a good men's cut (or a good woman's cut from what I see by the incredible looking ladies walking out of this place), then look no further and go to Bloom. 5 stars for the eyebrow shaping, toning, and girl that does eyebrows, MAYBE 3 stars for front desk service. Almost Always have an attitude when you call for an appointment and can expect no enthusiasm on your way out after you've spent $30 on an eyebrow wax. I wanted so badly to like this salon. Beautiful, and I mean beautiful, interior. Stunning! Two floors, which gives it a great feel. The lounge upstairs is stacked with chocolates and trail mix. When you sit down, you are immediately offered anything from coffee to wine to crackers and cheese. I was on cloud 9! However, the extras (and they are fun) do not compensate for a horrible job and humiliating experience. My hairdresser cut off over 6-8 inches of my hair- if not more (I didn't measure) but it was shocking- and without my permission (I was asking for around two inches off, as was indicated in the illustrative pictures I displayed). Eventually, the next week, one of the owners saw me. I showed her before pictures (taken the day immediately preceding) and she appeared in awe over the length that disappeared. She agreed to refund part, but, not all: the color (which was also wrong, but not deplorably wrong) was something she wanted to fix instead of outright compensate me for. I did not want it fixed. I told her a few days later I really didn't feel like I could trust the salon and she eventually agreed to refund the full price. However, and this is the extremely humiliating part, she then texted me with a single picture. The before picture the salon took (which was weird- I had not been asked if I wanted a before picture, I was just ushered over and told "Katy wants a before picture."). It showed only the front layers, which were predictively and demonstratively shorter than the hair as a whole. She then told me "obviously this is a much different haircut then you showed me." Again, to reiterate, these pictures happened in the span of about 18 hours. The salon's before picture captured my face framing layers completely accurately- but certainly did not capture the length. As honesty is a part of my profession, and dishonesty could cost me my license, I was floored, embarrassed, and at a complete loss. I've waited over a month to post (which is what Katy and Marlo implored me to do- "wait! It'll grow out!") and remain frustrated with my hair every morning. The haircut does not work with my hair texture, face shape, or lifestyle (where I often require a ponytail). It was the worst stylist experience I've had thus far. It took much too long and and required me to expend an inordinate amount of energy to get a refund- topped off with the insinuation I was blatantly lying. Do not recommend. read more

They offer snacks and they have an entire beverage menu to choose from. Ashley is an amazing hairdresser, she gave me an awesome cut and colored my hair perfectly to match what I requested. I moved from Manhattan and the salon has great staff. My rating is based on the salon basically giving my appointment away. I made an appointment beginning of November and asked for something before Thanksgiving. They then moved my appointment without telling me. There was no confirmation and when I went in on 12/02 for my appointment the "customer care" person Guy told me that my appointment was on 11/25! He then told me he would try and find me something kept calling and each time I couldn't make it, said sorry, it is so busy during the holidays. I told him I knew that's why I made an appointment a month ago! Looking at my bill they actually charged me for a no show...after I asked if I would be charged and he said he would look into it. read more

I had gone here once before they switched locations and this new spot (right across the street, down a bit from Carlos Bakery/Starbucks) is so nice & a lot more welcoming! I haven't gotten my hair colored here yet (need to make an appt desperately) but I have gotten blow outs from Marilyn & Gabby. The blow outs were both amazing & very similarly done and Gabby is the best. The salon has their blow out bar upstairs which is super nice. I have been going to Christina for a cut and treatment since this Spring, she and the salon are wonderful. My appointments are booked and confirmed with no issue, the salon is well decorated, and the staff is friendly, polished, and they have a drink menu! After having my hair destroyed at another salon, I found Bloom through the powers of the Internet. The receptionist went over their pricing schedule and set me up with a phone consult with Gabriella to discuss my hair. Gabriella listened and knew exactly what I was asking for in getting my hair healthy again. I had an appointment the following day and was impressed with the salon. It's hip and fun without being stuffy and pretentious like some other salons in the area. Gabriella did a balayage color with a toner and conditioning treatment and took my hair from a fried blonde mess to a happy and healthy blonde. I booked (or thought I booked) a blowout right before my bridal shower. There was a mix-up (very well could've been on my end), and Bloom did not have my appointment on the books. I was very upset, anxious, and stressed, as I would have to be leaving for my shower within the hour. It was a Sunday, so most salons hadn't opened yet or were closed altogether... meaning there was no other option for me. I didn't even have time to go back home to do my hair myself. The whole staff at Bloom remained very calm and positive, and jumped into action to accommodate me. One of the other clients graciously let me steal away her stylist, Eric, who worked wonders on my hair in just minutes. He was understanding, kind, and truly a saint for seeing me, when they easily could've turned me away with no appointment. Guy at the front desk also stepped in to help get me in and out in time for my shower. I will forever be grateful to Bloom for the way they treated me on such an important day!
