There was a lady at the front desk who stepped away as soon as I walked in, a few artists and a few customers. Now mind you, I know they don't accept walk ins but I just wanted to make an appointment since I was nearby and had cash to make the deposit. No one spoke to me,like AT ALL. The girl at front desk that stepped away just continued to talk to other staff and never walked back over to speak to me. I waited around for a bit without so much as an acknowledgement, hello, etc just nothing as if I was invisible. Decided to look them up and I saw the artist that did my prior piece is no longer there. So although I absolutely loved my prior tattoo and the service, the people there now could use a lesson in customer service. I ended up leaving after being blatantly ignored.

I already had my heart set on a lotus flower because I loved the symbolism behind it, but I also let Shelby know that if he thought another design would work better as a cover-up, I was completely open to his professional opinion. He agreed the lotus would be a great choice, and we talked about incorporating color into the design. He was genuinely excited about the project, and he absolutely executed it beautifully. The appointment itself was relaxed, professional, and took about an hour. Shelby explained everything throughout the process, including the possibility that some of the original tattoo could faintly "ghost" through during healing and that, if it did, he'd happily touch it up at no charge. I really appreciated his honesty and the fact that he stands behind his work. On top of that, the atmosphere was great. He had an awesome playlist going and even introduced me to a band I'd never heard before--The Teskey Brothers (check them out!)--which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I couldn't be happier with the final result. He took a tattoo that no longer represented who I am and transformed it into something beautiful and meaningful. The lotus symbolizes growth, resilience, and new beginnings, making it the perfect choice for this new chapter of my life. It's only Day 1, but I already love it. I'll be sure to update this review with a healed photo in a few weeks. I was able to walk in and talk to one of their tattoo artists pretty quickly, make an appointment for the same week and felt good about my choice. Ash did my tattoo and he's an amazing artist that has a knack for fine lines and subtle shading. The place is popular -on a random Friday, 3 seats were fillled and others walked in for piercings and to make follow up appointments. However, I later discovered on my own that I don't have the correct anatomy for a navel piercing. She even marked my navel with a marker and made it seem like it wouldn't be a problem to pierce me.
