I had the pleasure of getting my dream tattoo with Shelby and I'm so in love with it. I've been waiting years to get a little cap sleeve tattoo and always had a vision of a dream catcher with some flowers. Shelby took the several pictures I brought in and created the perfect tattoo. He's an awesome artist and made the whole experience great. I definitely recommend checking out this tattoo shop. Thanks again Shelby!!
Shelby was awesome. Fit me in same day. Reasonable pricing. Great clean work! Def will return for more work in the future. Nice people and clean environment.
Went to king cobra tattoo for the first time and I have to say zen is amazing tattoo artist he really puts in the time and effort to make sure his work is exactly what you want he was also very sweet and made sure we were comfortable during the Whole tattoo session would definitely recommend him to anyone he is awesome artist
Was given Nics info after my original tattoo artist got sick. The day before I go in, I text him and ask him to design a batman tattoo for me. I like to give artists some freedom to play to their strengths. I was absolutely blown away by his work, he did a great job, and it's one of my favorite pieces. About a year later I made another appointment for a foot tattoo. He was really good at predicting when I would twitch, and was able to work around it. Professional, friendly, and a great artist.
My husband just got his first tattoo done here today by Dennis and let me tell you, he did an AWESOME job!!! Upon arriving, Shelby, the owner, greeted us. He was very friendly. Once inside, we were then greeted by Dennis and later, Cory. Everyone was very friendly and professional. We had a great vibe already! My husband had started discussing with Dennis what he had wanted and showed the picture example. Dennis said he could do the tattoo today. Awesome!! Before we came here today, we had watched Tattoo Nightmares several times so the idea of getting a bad tattoo was always a worry for my husband. it was important that this tattoo was done right because it was being done in memory of his mom who had passed away 10 months ago so it was very special to him. Dennis took care of us! He was very personable, friendly and humble. We not only live down the street from this place but since we were also referred by a friend of mine and wanted to support our local business, we couldn't pass it up! My friend said both Shelby and Cory did awesome jobs on hers and her sister's tattoos. Now that Dennis did my husband's, that makes the 3 artists awesome!!! We will definitely be back for any future tattoos!! No tattoo nightmares here!!!
Decided to write a review now that my tattoo is all healed up! Went in for a traditional style bird with flowers framing its body in honor of my grandmother. Dennis way exceeded my expectations! The line work is immaculate and the shading is exactly the look I was hoping for. Incredible work, awesome atmosphere, overall great experience. King Cobra IS the place to go. Thank you, Dennis!!! (I uploaded a photo of the tattoo, as well.)
Traveled from SF because of the yelp reviews and personal recommendations of friends. Here's the 5 star part. Dennis was more than just a tattoo artist. He wanted to know the story behind the art I wanted. He listened to both my Girlfriend, her daughter & I about the story of how our paths crossed and what brought us to his shop. This being my first tattoo at the age of 51, it took a little inspiration, motivation & a message that had meaning for me... "Let Your Faith Be Your Guide"
I cannot say enough about this shop! You are greeted immediately when you walk in. The guys are all super friendly and welcoming. It's almost like walking into Cheers. I've only been tattooed by Shelby and I must say he is AMAZING! I've gone in with a vague idea of what I want and he turns it into a work of art. I will for sure be back for more!
Did a walk-in with my best friend on a Friday morning and was instantly greeted by all members. Carl took care of us with all of the paperwork and questions we had. It was my friend's first time and he made the process super easy. I wish I found Carl for all my other tattoos, his lines are super clean and I absolutely loved my spontaneous tattoo from yesterday. It's my favorite one on my body.
Ok, so my husband and I want to get matching tattoos before he leaves for a 2 month military training. I no longer have a "tattoo guy" so I jump on Yelp. I call King Cobra Tattoo last night and explain the situation, the time crunch we are in, and leave my number. Shelby calls back about 3 min later and says he will fit us in tomorrow, just come in and he will make it work, and BOY DID HE!! We came in and it was a little more than he anticipated, but today is the only day we have, so he asks his appt to come a little later and we get to work. Shelby is more than professional, he is phenomenal. He was courteous, friendly, and just carries an overall great vibe. Oh, and I am sure you want to hear about our tattoos, this is my 17th (or so) tattoo, and is by far one of my best, in regards to experience and the skill and efficiency of the artist. I will be back for sure, and I strongly recommend King Cobra Tattoo as the place to go if you want amazing work. PS: The pricing is mind blowing as well, and I've been around the tattoo pricing chart quite a few times.

I had been wanting to cover up an old tattoo for a while but wasn't sure where to go, so I reached out to King Cobra Tattoo by email. Shelby responded promptly to my inquiry, answered all of my questions, and made the entire process easy from the very beginning. I already had my heart set on a lotus flower because I loved the symbolism behind it, but I also let Shelby know that if he thought another design would work better as a cover-up, I was completely open to his professional opinion. He agreed the lotus would be a great choice, and we talked about incorporating color into the design. He was genuinely excited about the project, and he absolutely executed it beautifully. The appointment itself was relaxed, professional, and took about an hour. Shelby explained everything throughout the process, including the possibility that some of the original tattoo could faintly "ghost" through during healing and that, if it did, he'd happily touch it up at no charge. I really appreciated his honesty and the fact that he stands behind his work. On top of that, the atmosphere was great. He had an awesome playlist going and even introduced me to a band I'd never heard before--The Teskey Brothers (check them out!)--which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I couldn't be happier with the final result. He took a tattoo that no longer represented who I am and transformed it into something beautiful and meaningful. The lotus symbolizes growth, resilience, and new beginnings, making it the perfect choice for this new chapter of my life. It's only Day 1, but I already love it. I'll be sure to update this review with a healed photo in a few weeks. If you're looking for an artist who is responsive, professional, listens to your ideas, and truly stands behind his work, I highly recommend Shelby at King Cobra Tattoo. Thank you again for creating a tattoo I'll be proud to wear for years to come! read more

My husband and daughter got matching tattoos by Mike a few months back as she was heading off to college - we all loved them and the experience with Mike and the King Cobra shop. So when my itch for new ink kicked in, I hit up Mike and got an appointment within a week. I spent this morning at King Cobra getting my tattoo by Mike. The playlist was awesome the conversation was great. And most importantly, I love my tattoo! Husby's headed there tomorrow! Looks like we have a family tattoo guy now! Also, I gotta shout out to the owner Shelby. He came in about half way through my tattoo and I just felt like I was hanging out with some cool a$$ folks for a couple hours! read more

King Cobra Tattoo is hands-down the spot and Shelby Cobra is the artist you want. I've been in twice in the last two weeks, and every time Shelby delivers flawless work. He's a cool, easy-to-talk-to dude with great taste in music, which makes the whole session feel relaxed and fun. His hand is steady, his linework is clean, and he works fast without ever sacrificing quality. I'm already booking my next session to have him cover up an old arm tattoo, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with it. If you want an artist who's skilled, efficient, and genuinely enjoyable to hang out with, go see Shelby at King Cobra Tattoo. Highly recommend. read more

Many years ago I had a tattoo oh my left foot. It was dedicated to my mom as my very first tattoo. It wasn't what I wanted but at the time it was something that might want my mom to see when she was sick. I finally got the tattoo I want it on my right foot but got tired of looking at the one on my left so I had to do a cover-up. Gentleman Shelby did an awesome job and I'm not too much of a color fan but it looks beautiful. read more

With a great recommendation, 5-star ratings in Yelp, and word of mouth, I took a mini road trip to get another set of tattoos at King Cobra this weekend. I ended up with an Aries astrological constellation sign and a lotus flower. I called ahead of time to make sure someone would be able to ink me and they assured me I could just walk in and be taken care of (which I was). I only had to wait about 15-20 minutes after filling out the necessary paperwork to begin my tattoos. Overall, I had a positive experience. A little different standards compared to other tattoo shops I have been to in the past, but nothing super alarming. Happy with how my tattoos turned out, and the prices were not too bad either. Not super happy with my tattoo artist; he wasn't much for small talk or formalities but he was talented and I appreciated the attention to detail. Overall, good experience but would probably set an appointment with the owner if I ever decided to return. read more

UPDATE: apparently the guy who tattooed me name is Mike & he stopped working at the shop shortly after my experience lol. it'd only be fair to state that info since the business itself probs isn't that terrible but should be way more aware of who they're hiring. oh & I've got my piece fixed. it looks amazing now! good luck on your body art journey :-) I came here thinking someone would be good at tattooing dark skin tones 'cause I saw some lady posted she got a cover up here but I ended up getting my body ruined & now needing a cover up lol. I got tattooed by the tall, thin guy with long hair & his station is literally right in front of the door. can't remember his name, sadly (I'm really bad with names) but it wasn't Cory or Nic like I read in the reviews. I went in like 5 months ago (I've been holding off this review for god knows why) to get a tattoo of the moon phases & this idiot butchered it. I should've stopped at the circles & had someone finish the rest 'cause it went south once he got to the detail. everyone in the shop had gone by this time & somehow we got on to the topic of meat (cause he was talking shit about someone as he was basically the whole time) then saying dumb shit to me cause I don't eat meat LOL. I swear after that he just ruined me 'cause I was checking on the tattoo every so often & it looked fairly good until then. once he was done he told me how it's gonna look funny 'cause of the grey wash & it'll go away after a few days but nope man, check this shit out. the white fell out (why would you even use white? Idk) & the whole piece is just shit & I have to find a real artist to help me fix my skin lol. he had me thinking he would have me leaving happy because I told him about my last bad encounter with a tattooist (I just have really bad experiences with tattooists, I suppose). I was wrong. shit, he was wrong too for fucking me up like this. Good luck if you go here! :-) read more

A friend of mine were looking to get a tattoo done and since the place I had gone to previously was closed this particular day, we decided to check this place out based on the reviews. Had a little issue finding the place but that's not a big deal at all. When we pulled up there were no customers, just Cory standing outside. At first glance he seemed intimidating but once we got to talking with him, we realized he is completely awesome. Very friendly indeed, along with his fellow shop buddies as well who all showed up a little while later. Everyone was full of jokes and humorous sarcasm that they made the environment completely fun and relaxing. After going over what we both wanted to get, Cory got right on it and made sure we were both comfortable throughout the entire process; especially with my friend being this was her first tattoo. He definitely has an eye for small details and extremely clean lines. I would recommend this place, especially Cory. I'd definitely think of this place again whenever I'm ready for more ink! read more

I had my first tattoo here. I have always wanted one so I took the plunge. The place is clean. Very edgy decor which I loved and good atmosphere. It is a small shop so when I was getting my tattoo with my huge anxiety I felt boxed in but that was about me. Although it hurt like hell, the staff was great to work with. My artist was able to get me to make it through to the finish. Defiantly recommend. read more

Yes still open you can go in or contact them on instagram or Facebook
Does this shop have a minimum? If so what is it?
🤔don't know. You have to call & find out. They are very honest. I needed a cover up & Shelby did an awesome job.
Is it hurt?
When I first got my tattoo my very first tattoo I was scared and the tattoo or said if you ever been scratched by a cat I said yes. So basically feels like a cat is scratching you. On your foot it's tender so it's going to hurt a little bit more on…
