We got him to this place and they put 2 bags in him (not sure which cocktail) and it helped him immensely! Any time he's gotten sick since, he goes and gets the same thing and it always cuts the sickness time in half. It's more than just a iv bag from the ER (which coats insane amounts of money). We did try that and it didn't have the same effect. Highly recommend.

So far I've had this happen to arm three times here after getting blood drawn for a routine basic cbc panel every so often. I find it difficult when people rush around, even when it's not that busy, so pretty much hit or miss. Unfortunately this is the third time this has happened to me and a few other people have told me they had the same experience. Other places I've been it is rare, so a little disappointed at the lack of skill with the needles :/

I called the local telephone number for the Red Cross. It was quickly clear that I was not speaking with a person located in the area as they mispronounced Carmel and Salinas. I was told that there will be a blood drive in Carmel in early February and one in Monterey in early March. Oops, the Carmel session has no appointment times available. The Monterey session is six weeks away. There is a serious shortage? Seriously??? I call BS on the Red Cross. If a private business advertised in this manner, it would be in conversation with a local DA about consumer fraud charges.

Arrived for my class, class was canceled, and I had no email or phone call from the teacher saying it was canceled. Rip off, run around Customer Service, and don't apply online.

I have a compromised immune system and going to a shelter could expose me possibly to the Coronavirus. I'm really shocked at the complete lack of help or compassion I found when calling the Red Cross. In the current year you will see all sorts wearing masks on transit, and at the grocery store, even outside. In a medical setting, I still default to wearing a face covering. I feel like with all we learned from COVID, it's the least I can do. Anyhoo, at Stanford, they will be giving you the side-eye for apparently appearing to *not be feeling healthy and well today.* I felt A-OK, had a temperature that was exactly average, and had run a 10K that morning, but one of the staff members here kept treating me differently because I was wearing a mask. It was really weird, and I won't be returning. As others have stated, the park that one walks through to get here from the Caltrain stop is really nice!

Unfortunately, I have been repeatedly disappointed about the way that the American Red Cross (ARC) has administered my past donation appointments within Santa Cruz County. On one occasion -- when I was admittedly running late (but willing to remain until I could be fit-in) -- I was abruptly & very publicly turned away. On another occasion -- when I arrived EARLY for my appointment -- I was informed that as the phlebotomists were running behind and as they had already achieved the quantity of donations targeted, I could reschedule my donation for another day. I respectfully declined and stayed to donate. These rather jarring experiences have left me with the distinct impression that the ARC Donation Experience foremost turns on the whims of their mobile team's willingness to receive than it does on maximizing every planned donation opportunity & donor willingness to give -- certainly not a formula for earning donor confidence or loyalty. Therefore, even though I reside in Santa Cruz County, I'm frequently "over the hill" and will very much look forward to donation opportunities at stanfordbloodcenter.org. Stanford's location in Campbell is close enough, and it's encouraging to see that this org has earned significantly stronger Yelp ratings. Indeed, the availability of choice is always a GOOD thing!
