I came here as a first time customer and I will definitely be going back here again because I came out so satisfied with their work!! I called to make an appointment and they were so kind and informational over the phone. They asked what kind of hair I have and what look I'm going for and assured me that they can do it, which they did! We talked about pricing and I really appreciated that they honored their Groupon prices at their salon, so I did not even have to buy the actual Groupon to get my discount. At the end of my checkout, there were no surprise fees since they already talked me through everything, so I paid the fee that I was already expecting. When I went inside BloNgo for my appointment, I observed how nice and clean their building was. Everything seemed to sparkle and the lady at the front desk offered me a free beverage, so I gladly took a cup of coffee (it was made it a really cute tea cup). They made me fill out and sign some papers and a waiver basically saying that BloNgo cannot be held accountable for how your hair will turn out if you decide to go really light with your hair, such as going blonde or bleaching. Which makes sense and I believe that other salons should do this too since everyone's hair is different and can have various outcomes. I started right away at my appointment time, I did not wait long at all. The employee that took care of me was Timothy and he was really amazing with my hair. I wanted a balayage and he spent three hours on my hair to do just that! He pays careful attention to details and handles your hair with care. He always asked me if I was comfortable and always informed me of what he was currently doing to my hair, which was interesting since I was also learning the process of how a balayage is done. My hairstyle also came with a hair trim, so not only is my hair colored lighter, but it also feels healthy at the same time. I have never gotten my hair done this way before and it's a really nice change, I really liked how he did everything and the end result was beautiful. I booked the Silk Press Experience through BloNgo's website and selected the first available stylist option. After completing my booking, I received a confirmation for an appointment on August 1, 2026. Wanting to confirm a few details, I reached out to BloNgo through Instagram. I was then informed that the Silk Press Experience would not be available until August 11th. I explained that your website had allowed me to book the August 1st appointment and that I had already received a confirmation. Instead of acknowledging the issue, I received a snarky response stating that I had booked the appointment with the Botox doctor. Respectfully, it is highly unprofessional for a salon's booking system to allow customers to schedule a hair service with a Botox provider in the first place. The booking platform should clearly separate providers and services or prevent incompatible bookings altogether. Had I not reached out beforehand, I could have arrived for an appointment that wasn't actually valid, wasting both my time and effort. This experience was frustrating and avoidable. I have been meaning to get my hair cut and colored for a long time and I wasn't sure where to go. In the past I have gone to bargain hair salons with coupons and the results were...meh. I have really long and thick wavy hair so I often worry that I will be severely up-charged and that the stylist won't be able to work with my hair anyway. Today, I was browsing local salons with deals and I came across BloNgo. The reviews were on par and they were able to fit me in the same day (a Saturday afternoon no less!!). The woman I spoke to on the phone gave me up front pricing and set expectations. I had seen a Groupon for $39 (haircut & partial highlights) and she said they would honor it despite the deal only being available on weekdays. She let me know that the toner I would need would be an additional $20. Fine by me! The salon is really clean and bright. Crystal lighting, comfy chairs, nice waiting area. I was helped as soon as I arrived. As per other reviews, you will fill out a waiver that discloses the salon is not responsible for certain issues with your hair, mainly if bleaching is involved. To me, that makes sense...everyone's hair is different and if you choose to do harsh things to your hair it might not react exactly as you think it will. I was offered a complimentary mimosas while a wonderful stylist did my highlights!!! So awesome!! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better they give me my favorite beverage! Every single stylist that worked with me was pleasant, helpful and knowledgable. They asked me what I wanted and explained everything to me. Terrible quality for the price. I started getting sew-ins here, so I didn't know any better at first. After going elsewhere because of a racist comment from an employee, extremely poor customer service, and an interaction with the incredibly rude owner, I saw what a quality installation should be like. My new salon charges less, takes way less time, and the installation is sooo much better. My BloNGo installation was so sloppy and haphazard that tracks were visible, the hair color didn't come close to matching, and the braids underneath were so loose that my hair took hours to dry after washing it and tangled to the point of matting. I'm honestly so glad that my multiple bad experiences here eventually drove me to try somewhere else because I didn't know what I was missing! read more

So, I bought the Groupon and scheduled my appointment. They wouldn't allow me to use it on a Saturday so they said to return the groupon take a screenshot and they would give me that price. Little did I know they would up-charge me for toner, hair length and density. Something that was never discussed with me. I paid nearly twice the groupon price. Plus, my highlights were brassy, the hair dryer she used on me used to be white but was covered in hair dye and the flat iron was in worse condition than the one I own at home. They were very nice but for that price I expect to at least be in a clean environment. Plus, I told her I wanted long layers. She ended up taking about an inch off of my length. I'm hoping some purple shampoo will help with the brassy highlights. I think I will be finding a more upscale salon for future visits. read more

I scheduled a silk press appointment for a Sunday in March and was elated to find a salon that's open. The male stylist was very friendly and welcoming however, as the appointment went on I realized he wasn't very knowledgeable about hair although he pride himself as a world renown stylist. First of all he took me to the shampoo bowl with no cape, then when I asked what type of conditioner is he using on me he replied I don't know but it smells good. Then he blew my hair out with no heat protector and flat iron my hair in spots. Last he sprayed my hair with hairspray and turned me around and said you're done. Then he says to be honest I thought black people hair was hard to do but yours was easy. Omg I looked liked a poodle! I was so shocked I wanted to run out before he did anymore damage. Also we were the only ones in the salon so I was so ready to go. When I went to pay he took forever because he didn't know how to use the checkout software on the computer. He charged my card for a more expensive price than I was originally quoted and when I ask for a receipt he replied I can't. I told him to cancel and I would pay cash and he responded what about my tip. Yes, I thought my whole experience was a joke that someone was playing on me. I have been going to the same salon and same lady, for my haircut for the last 20 years. This was my first time trying someone and someplace new, and I was not disappointed! I have very thin and fine hair, and I'm always nervous about using heat to my hair, but Jennifer was gentle and it didn't burn my scalp! I had the Groupon for a haircut, deep conditioning, and blow out. All I wanted was a trim and some loose curls (good luck since I have hair that doesn't style well). Jennifer did a great job of asking me what I wanted. I did ask for some loose curls, and I probably should have told her that my hair does not keep curls so to pile on the hairspray. Oh well, it lasted about 10minutes, enough time to take a quick picture for proof that my hair CAN hold a curl. I just feel bad she did all that work and it didn't last long. So I walk in the first thing I ask was is the 55 dollar special was everything include wash & Blow Dry. The lady that attended me said yes! Her name was Yeuris. Got a haircut here a few months ago. I originally made an appointment because I bought a Groupon for a cheap haircut. When I got to my appointment, they told me I couldn't use it since it was a Friday which is the "salon weekend." I didn't see anywhere on the Groupon or the salon website mentioning this. They ended up giving me the discount anyway, but it felt like pulling teeth. The hairstylist was nice and gave me a decent trim, although it was a bit boxy, I wished she added a bit more layering since my hair is so thick. I went over there with my best friend and we both have very long hair, Ms. Ingrid started out our visit by offering us coffee and continued to do both our hair simultaneously. Very disappointed with this salon. I had a 9am appointment for cut, partial highlights, and a deep condition. I had carefully saved my money for this, and dedicated part of my day off, and ended up regretting ever going here. I explained what I wanted (partial, ashy blonde highlights, just like what was already in my hair). I also showed a picture to explain how I wanted them randomly placed throughout so I didn't have an obvious root line, and I NOT want them placed directly on top. Stylist said all was fine, and began foiling my hair, with one highlight being 3 inches thick (bad placement). I let it go, thinking my hair was parted awkwardly and perhaps it wouldn't be right on top of my part. Once I was foiled, the real problems began. My stylist mentioned that she had been triple booked, and I soon saw that was true, as she was at one point working on FOUR clients at the same time. No one can pay adequate attention or do quality work on four people at once. After letting my bleach sit for over an hour (no dryer?? I asked - "oh I didn't want to use that on you"), she rinsed and applied a toner. Due to her divided attention, she asked someone else to rinse my toner out "if it was ready." It was not ready - my hair was a brassy gold & I said I did not like it, that I needed to sit under the dryer & let the bleach continue lifting. I understand being busy, but if she had checked my hair herself, she'd have seen it was not ready. She toned it again. The dryer was now occupied, so the stylist and owner toned my hair TWO more times, until it was a lighter blonde. No color should need three trips through toner. It's 1pm by this time (four hours in), three different people have been working on my hair, and the new color is not looking good. After the third toner job, the highlights had lifted, but my natural ashy brown roots that took me YEARS to grow out -- had been tinted a coppery red. When I asked why my roots were red, stylist said "Oh, that's just the lighting." I finally just checked out and got out of there. Once home and in a different light, I did indeed see that ALL of my natural roots were tinted a weird red. No partial highlight appointment should take 5 hours - no stylist should have 4 clients at once - and no appointment should have three separate people touching your head, without introductions or hello either time. So disappointed with this place. Update: I waited a month to post this, to see if the copper red would fade from my natural hair. It did not. When I asked a hair stylist friend, she said it was definitely the result of triple toning. read more

I live in Charlotte, NC. I had been traveling early last week and received news that I was going to Vegas after my work trip in Tampa. At first I had mix feelings about this place. I had a rocky start, it is pretty much a long story But my Main concern was that I wanted a balayage but a stylist from the salon completely messed up my hair. It had an orange tint and I was not happy with it. My hair color was not far off from what I wanted. She at least had a good personality. I finally spoke to the manager Stephanie and she fixed my hair. The color correction came out great and I have received many compliments. No idea how they have so many good reviews. Stephanie, the owner, is very nice and that is the only positive thing I can say. 1) The salon looks run down. The chairs are taped, painted and looked ancient. 2) I was worried because I saw only clients and stylists of color and I have thin,fragile white girl hair. I don't care about race/gender identity/sexual orientation or any other thing about my stylist, but hair behaves differently and I was nervous that maybe they weren't used to my kind of hair. Heck, my best stylist ever is a bmx loving, truck driving Republican "redneck" male with long curly hair (and I'm not any of those, lol) but he takes ~2 hrs to cut hair bec he likes to chat about politics. I wish I had just suffered through some crappy politics instead of what I've gone through at BnG. 3) There are definitely organizational confusions at this salon. EVERY time I went (I will explain why I went more than once), there was some issue. First they couldn't find my appointment. Oh, then they did. 4) My stylist was Jose. He's super nice also. We chatted about what I wanted. I explained that I had a ring of hair around the center that was in poor shape from being worn up in a scrunchie a lot as I've had multiple surgeries and no energy to even deal with hair. The ends were in good condition, so cutting wouldn't be much help and would likely just make it look worse. I STRESSED how delicate my hair is, and he agreed with me. I said I found the salon by searching Opalex treatment and I saw a photo of a pretty red balayage on their site and asked if that type of style was feasible for my hair. He said yes and it would be amazing and the Olaplex would make it much healthier. Somehow we went from that discussion to him teasing (i think that is the term?) the middle of my hair (the most damaged part)! I asked him why he is doing that as I worried he was breaking more of my hair (he was) and he said "That's so the color change won't be in a hard line." Ok I guess. I'm trusting him. Then he starts putting on what I learned was a bleaching agent. I didn't realize that until after because I was expecting a red tone and I thought there is no way he could be putting bleach on hair as delicate as mine. He said the Olaplex would make my hair really soft and as he was rinsing it and drying it, he said it felt really great. Then he takes a hot iron to it. I never hot iron my hair because I learned years ago that it breaks my hair. But he kept saying how it looked and felt great so I was excited thinking that the Olaplex really is a miracle! And then when he showed me my hair, I was blown away! Looked amazing! So what if he got a huge bleach stain on the back of my shirt? My hair was fantastic! He says he will call me when the Olaplex take home conditioner comes in. (He never does) 5) Loving my hair for 4 days. I don't have to wash it, I just comb it each morning, not looking oily, it's soft and amazing. Day 5 BOOM, I look down and the ends of my hair are actually tying themselves in knots. WTF? I've never seen such a thing. I try to gently comb it and it feels like straw and I can't even get a comb through. Then it starts actually breaking and some has split UP the shaft of the hair so it is curling in weird shapes. My hair is totally fried. 6) I come in and speak to Stephanie, the owner. Jose says "Hi", I tell him my hair is fried and he sort of said "Oh" or similar and walked away. Seriously?Stephanie has another stylist do a bit of color and conditioning to help tone down the mess on my head and wants me to come in for a month to do conditioning and trims to fix my hair. She gives me the take home Olaplex Jose never called me about. 7)I have lost track of the number of times I went in and I don't have my calendar in front of me but it was about 4. EACH time, I had to wait long times. Once 30 minutes, once 20 minutes and the last time I went in, I just left because.. 8) My hair is not improving, it looks like total crap. Stephanie keeps telling me to give it time and do the treatments. I am but honestly, I know that my hair is destroyed to the point that it is not fixable. It just has to grow out. I have long hair so it will be years to get rid of the mess. So this time, I arrive. No receptionist. Jose tells me Stephanie left but should be back soon. Finally a receptionist come up and I ask her if Stephanie is coming. No one knows where she is. I text her and the receptionist calls her. Stephanie says Jose can do my treatment. Jose was with another client so I would have to wait until he finishes. I say "I'm done with this BS." I leave. I get a text saying sorry but her son is sick. I understand but it's the last straw of a bunch of stressful interactions through the whole process. I want a refund but get only a partial because I have to pay for the worthless conditioning treatments. And she did some cheap ass extensions that were falling out on day 2. I called and scheduled an appointment with Cybil, she said that either her or Jennifer would take care or me after she booked the appointment. After she scheduled the appointment i let her know that I had very curly hair, and if either of the stylists were comfortable (as I have been turned away in the past and did not want to drive out just to get turned away) we discussed my hair and she assured me someone would be able to do it. 15 minutes later I got a call back from Jennifer saying they were "all booked up". I honestly believe, as a hairdresser myself, that she just didn't want a curly/long haired client as her end of day. I will never refer anyone (as I was referred) and will make sure my friends do not patronize an establishment that discriminates against clients with curly hair. After working in a salon for 2 years with these kind of lazy stylists, I know exactly whet was going on. They run a special on Tuesdays (which today was a Tuesday) and she didn't want me to pay half price for doing my hair. I'm sure someone with naturally straight hair would have had no problem getting serviced. **I decided to re-post my original, HONEST, review of my experience when trying to do business with this salon, on principal. I WAS contacted by the owner of this salon offering me a refund for the service I paid for at another salon and a free blow out by Jose at her salon. Blongo salon is classy, cute and reasonably priced. The stylists there really know what they're doing and they take their time with their work! Stephanie did my hair, a color and a cut, and I am extremely pleased with the results. She is so personable and you can tell she has a passion for what she does & has a natural ability to do hair! I also found out blongo offers so many other services such as makeup, blowouts, and even deep conditioning treatments... all at a great price! Would HIGHLY recommend this salon to everyone. If I could give them zero stars I would. I initially went there 3 years ago, different location. Color was okay and even though the style was paid for, the stylist left mr hair frizzy and half damp. No style. Whatever. I decided to give them another chance. Purchased a Groupon. Scheduled on line for Saturday. The request was still pending. So called and confirmed the appointment. 3 days later, I get a voicemail stating that they can't accept my Groupon on the weekend and if I chose to keep my appointment, they will match a Groupon price, even though I already paid for it. I explained it to the receptionist who didn't care and told me to reschedule even though I couldn't and needed my hair done for my birthday. I explained that their print on Groupon didn't mention that they don't accept vouchers on the weekend, it says that it's based on availability and nobody ever told me when I confirmed my appointment on line or when I called. She said that they have new employees that are not fully aware. My problem, right? So I told them that I'm going to write the review about what transpired and advise Groupon as well and I did. Then I get a threatening email from the salon management accusing me of being rude and threatening me that they are going to provide my info to platforms if I write a negative review. I bought a groupon for at revive n go for waxing and when i got their i asked over when possible i could get done and they gave me attitude. And I don't think customer service should be that way read more
