The service is not great. The gal working the register is not very friendly and when bringing up/questioning why we're getting charged an extra $10 for a meal to be a combo (fries and a drink) she tried to talk to us like he were dumb. Resulting in me having to talk to her the same way. Food is basic and people working in the back don't look very clean. Respect and friendliness in a restaurant is a must or you will lose customers. If you're looking to send $50 on two basic meals, this is your place to be. read more

Last summer when we traveled to my hometown of Cortez, Colorado, we decided to take an off-the-beaten path through the Gateway Canyon, south of Grand Junction. I had previously driven the first part of the trip on Highway 141, from Clifton to Gateway, but I was blown away with the landscape even further south! It is some of the most interesting and serene parts of Southwest Colorado! Around lunch time we ended up in Naturita (population 546). This area of Nucla and Naturita has an amazing history, but I won't bore you with it with here. We stopped at a classic greasy spoon diner, Blondie's, for lunch. You could tell that this restaurant was the epicenter of town from the number of patrons. I enjoyed my green chile cheeseburger and tater tots, and Bob liked his special of the day, brisket sandwich. The decor was 1950s Americana. There were even fun murals in the restrooms, and an arcade off the dining room. It's not completely clear when you go in that you should go up and order at the register. We sat at our booth for a few minutes before we figured that out. There was a "For Sale" sign on the outside of the restaurant; I hope that this kind of American experience doesn't leave this community. read more

It reminds me of a diner that I used to eat at when I used to visit in New York City my chicken sandwich was delightful fresh grilled perfect and my french fries for the bomb.com. Attention customers, i have ordered a double cheese bacon burger with extra cheese and extra bacon two time prior to today's visit. My bumb ass didnt check the order until i got home. To my surprise i was missing the extra bacon and patty. i live in norwood so i couldnt drive all the ways back and had to settle with my loss of food any money! todays order I decided to pull off to the side and check my order. Not only was i missing my chicken wrap (i had asked for crispy bacon) but my double cheeseburger was missing its patty. I went in to bring it to their attention. The manager with the rotten teeth that makes you want loose your appetite. Goes back to the kitchen, which mind you there is nothing blocking the kitchen and the front check out. All you hear is the manager yelling at the cooks and blaming the young girl who's is also working the register inside and working the drive though. (So unprofessional) when i got my order back they took my burger back slapped another patty on it. (Im sure this is against food code and they should of made a new one. But also they never made my bacon crispy like i asked for in my original order. My bacon was raw and my wrap was half the size it usually is when i order it. In conclusion, make sure you check your food. They will charge you for anything extra but not add it to your order.... Very disappointed and i hope they find new management. read more

Blondies should be called BLANDIES. Ordered a Chef Salad and must say it was the worst Chef Salad I have ever had. Water downed lettuce and absolutely had NO flavor. Even the salad dressing was terrible. I only ate half and had to throw away the rest. I heard this place was not very good and unfortunately its true. Do yourself a favor and go home and make a Chef Salad. So let it be said.... So let it be written. read more

Very cute. Very clean. A lot of attention to detail. Employees are super nice. We were driving through and stopped here for lunch on a whim...without looking up any info or reviews. We were so pleased. My husband and I got hamburgers...I got the plain and the hubs got the green chile. Both were delicious. They fried the french fries nice and crisp...no soggy ones. They also serve pizza and ice cream and sandwiches and salads. I have every assurance that all of their food is yummy! They have arranged for social distancing inside and encourage masks, but a few people came in without them and nothing was said about it. Restrooms are very clean. Easy parking in front. I honestly have nothing bad to say about it. It was a wonderful lunch experience. The saddest thing is that there was a for sale sign in the window, so I hope whoever purchases it will keep the cute 50's theme and the delicious quality food. read more

After hiking in Utah earlier in the day, I was in search of a burger in this scenic, remote area of SW Colorado. Blondies was the only option I saw on the main drag. They are in the middle of remodeling, so the entrance is in back. I ordered the western burger combo with fries & a drink for just under $10. The western burger came with an onion ring, BBQ sauce and American cheese. The bun was a little on the soggy side and started falling apart, but the burger was pretty tasty. The fries were standard thin cut and could have used some more salt. It certainly was not one of the better burgers I've had, but in this remote area of CO, it was fine. Naturita is a food desert. It's a one-horse town. Your only options for food are Blondies, the Dollar Store and pork rinds from the liquor store. This faux-diner is ok. Nothing special or addicting about the food. On the pricey side for an isolated, po-dunk town. Best thing going for this place is it's location between Telluride and Moab. read more

The best burgers in Naturita Colorado! I don't know why this great local burger shop is categorized under "electricians". The burgers were fresh, cooked to order with all the delicious fixin's. Friendly service and not one of the locals gave us travelers the stink-eye. As a resident of Naturita, I am well acquainted with this small, local's burger joint. It's been in the area for a LONG time, is the only restaurant that has lasted over the years, and even my own grandmother worked their. Old fashioned testament to the traditional burger and fries. My wife and I stopped here today for the first time on a little road trip. We ordered the cheeseburgers with fries. Great burgers hand made. I saw the help making them in the kitchen. A kitchen by the way that was spotless and so were the restrooms. The experience was great and the road to gateway was amazing. The chocolate shakes are really good to as are the crispy french fries.
