This store was well on its way to failure. Fortunately it appears they turned it around…read more I need a place to buy car parts. It's just a fact of my life. Amazon and Walmart are great, don't get me wrong, but if you have an issue with a part you need a place to go to address your issue. Advance Auto fits that niche perfectly. The store itself isn't spectacular. None of the local parts places are that great. They don't have enough people working the counter so expect to wait to be helped. Their weekly specials aren't all that special. But if you put a little effort into it, you can save a lot of money at Advance. Go to their website and sign up for their "perk point" program. You get a $5 coupon for every $25 you spend. If you spend more than $25 they'll deliver your parts to your house for free or you can pick up the part at the store if they have it in stock in 30 minutes. Want more? Ok. When you order online you get a substantial discount, usually 20 percent. Still more? You can stack your discounts. Get your 20 percent and use a "perk Point" coupon as well. Plan out your repair ahead of time, order online, pick up in store, and save a bunch of cash.

Very not cool. I called about 20 minutes ago and after it rang a bunch of times, the guy told me to…read morehold, then I had to hear their same message about same-day pick up, same-day shipping yada yada yada, safety procedures yada yada yada and then it sounds like the guy clicked on the phone like he was switching lines to pick up, but he just was putting me back to the hold message, so I stupidly waited another 10 minutes. At 8:54 PM I realized this guy is not picking up to actually speak to me as he's just biding his time until the store closes at 9 PM!! Again, I called about 20 minutes ago, so it wasn't like you were just closing, and I just needed to know if you could order an item because you have it in every color but the one I need. Thankfully, Lowes has it and you just lost yourself a sale and potentially good a new customer!! Hope it was worth it to put me on hold for 20 something minutes when you knew you had no intention on picking up my call! To the headquarters, you can have all the marketing nonsense you want, but without actual customer service, you have nothing.

I always seek out family run establishments as I have found that they tend to value their customers…read moremore so than the corporate shops. There is an exception to every rule. First visit, front wiper arm needed to be replaced. She said they normally replace the wiper blade. As they were only 3 months old, I declined. She asked 2 more times to replace the wiper blade making me feel pressured. Red flag 1 Car went in for service. The report they provided said air filter status unknown. There are 4 screws that hold the cover in place. The manager told me they only check the air filter if they are quick release fasteners. Basically, if they aren't sure if they can charge you for the filter they won't take the time to unscrew the cover. Red Flag 2. Took car in for oil change and tire rotation. They told me the rear wiper wasn't working. Odd as it was working the day before in the rain. Since I have an extended service warranty, I had them check to see if it was covered. It was only if the motor was bad. They told me that they would have to trouble shoot it and I would be responsible for the cost. Unless it turned out to be the motor. I asked if they checked the fuse. Service writer didn't even look at me nor acknowledged my question. Why should they see if it's the fuse when they play dumb and get paid for trouble shooting. Checked the rear wiper when they brought the car out and it was working just fine. During this same visit I was told the rear links are going bad. Insurance would pay but because the insurance would only pay a certain amount for the links, I would owe more than $100. I asked about aftermarket parts. She said they were more than the dealership. I found them online for what the insurance would pay for. After the prior red flags, I wonder if the links are in need of replacement. 3rd and final Red Flag. I canceled the appointment to have them replaced. Had the trans fluid changed along with the brake fluid not too long ago. Now I'm wondering if they did it? It's sad that Pro-Cat feels they need to do business in this manor. How did they stayed in business 35 years??
