In town for a wedding, my cousin found this blow dry bar as it was not far from where we were staying... She booked two appointments (for herself and her mom) and I booked three appointments (for myself, my mom and my sister). We've all had plenty of blowout experiences and to be honest, this was one of the worst. The place itself was fine, but the staff was not friendly. They ran late and were not super communicative. We didn't get a look book until we asked for one and then when we did, the blowouts were far from what we requested. There was one bathroom in the place and as others have shared, it was not the cleanest either. If you're desperate for a blowout, it's fine, but I definitely would not rush back. read more

Jessica is absolutely wonderful! I had extensions and booked a last-minute blowout appointment, I was a little late for my appointment and felt really bad. I called her and asked for directions and she was very helpful. As soon as I got to the salon it was stunning and very nicely decorated and super clean. What an AWESOME place. My fiancee and I have now postponed our wedding 3x as a result of Covid-19. However, we thought we'd at least do something special for the original day we were to get married. We decided to get all dressed up and go out for a fancy dinner. SO I thought, why not get my hair done. I showed the hair stylist my picture of the dress I planned to wear and she immediately came up with a hair style that would be perfect for this dress. She took care to do soft beautiful curls that framed my face. They stayed intact throughout the night and into the next day, without using any weighted hair spray (she did use a spray but it was light and didn't make my hair EVER feel cakey which is the usual outcome for me with hair spray). Not to mention, she was so incredibly sweet the entire time and very very safe. I was VERY impressed with the hair to the point I even bought a curling iron for myself the next day to attempt to recreate the look, but I definitely know for any professional event, I'll be coming back!! read more

After two bad experiences at a competitor blow dry spot I thought I'd try this place for an upcoming photo shoot. I asked for a curled look w body/ volume and the stylist ok no problem. I have hair down to my bra strap. I was in the chair less than 25 minutes. No product used. No volume. Curls fell out in less than 10 minutes (literally when I got to my car I looked at y reflection and it looked like I had let my hair air dry). Horrible. I got home and literally took a shower to redo my hair myself. Biggest waste of money ever. The girl was very sweet very nice but I didn't come in for a good conversation. I won't return. read more

I immediately noticed and very much appreciated their insanely good marketing. There is street parking or a parking garage located right next to it. The whole staff is so helpful and so nice. I always get lucky if I end up getting an appointment with Jess. I decided to trust the professionals to help me for my recent engagement pics and the combo of Blo Blow Dry Bar in Brickell for hair and Face Brow and Beauty Bar next door for makeup, was all too perfect. I easily scheduled my appointment online and they were ready right when I got there. For $40, you can pick from one of seven styles in their books. My stylist listened to what I wanted and instantly knew which style would fit the bill, but she did check with me beforehand anyways. After a great hair washing followed by quick and efficient styling, I was in and out in almost thirty minutes. My style lasted through the night and most importantly, came out great in pictures! The owner of this salon, Nidia, is extremely unprofessional and a liar who will try to steal your money. I cancelled an appt hours before my scheduled time and spoke to an employee. As per the cancellation policy, for appointments cancelled within 24 hours the $25 cancellation fee per service booked will apply. I was charged for a full service and I had a membership. When I called to inquire the employee I spoke to me told me Nidia said she spoke to ME almost 30 mins after my appt. This is completely false as I had to cancel because my grandfather was involved in an accident and I was by his bedside. I've never met or spoken to the owner. I called several times, leaving messages for her to return my call, and she never did. The employee apologized repeatedly stating she could not refund me and it was out of her control. When she relayed the message, Nidia never answered or responded to the emails I sent to corporate who copied her in them. Horrible customer service and disgusting level of unprofessionalism. Being that it is privately owned by this Nidia person, I will never return to this establishment. HIGHLY recommend taking your money elsewhere to avoid being scammed and overpriced. Coral Gables location is ran differently and they actually provide higher level of customer service. read more

The attention, amazing! The girls were super welcoming and we talked a lot but with no pressure: we just clicked! And the good thing is that they also share with you what products they're using, what it has and you have the possibility to take them home if you feel like that's what you were looking for. This is such a late review because I have only been there once for my birthday because my usual location (Midtown) had no last minute openings and I needed an appointment. Better late than never. I was dropped off so I can't say anything regarding parking to get here but there is a garage walking distance from this Blo location. I cannot remember my hairdresser's name but she was INCREDIBLE! I took my own extensions and what she did to my hair was magic. I have curly hair but I wanted big, long, bold waves in my hair and that is exactly what she gave me in about 40-45 minutes. I was in town for a wedding and last minute me and 3 of my girlfriends decided it would be fun to go to Blo since it was close to our hotel instead of all doing our hair ourselves. We were able to very easily get appointments online. Blo sent emails to each of us confirming the appointments which was much appreciated. We showed up 10 minutes prior to our appointments and checked in at the front desk. I explained that I made the reservation and these were my 3 friends. We all sat down and at the time of our appointment each of my friends were called back pretty timely. I got called back last and 10 minutes late. This bothered me. As the person who made the reservation under my name and checked in, you would think they would take me back first. I was very turned off that I was taken last and late. We were all going for the same type of look. VERY voluminous and big dramatic hair. Not one of our styles came out like this. They were all very blah. I had told my girl that my hair gets very flat and I needed volume on the top. She proceeded to dry my hair tight to my head and did not lift my roots once. Needless to say there was negative height or volume in my style. Once my girl finished my blow dry and curls I had asked her not to brush them out because I still needed to walk back to the hotel and didn't want them to fall. I highly suggest doing this. All of my friends who had their stylist brush their curls out a little ended up falling really quickly. Needless to say I don't think this place is awesome. I made a reservation for myself and a friend a week in advance for 7pm. We showed up at 7 and they could only take one of us. I had to wait til 7:30 for someone to start working on my hair. They didn't even have water or champagne or wine to offer while I waited. Once I did get my hair done it looked like an amateur did it and I had to redo it when I got back to the hotel room. I also missed my dinner reservation bc they were a half hour late. They discounted me $10 at the end but come on, for a half hour it should've been more than that. They said it was because some girl ahead of me had "unexpectedly long hair" but she looked like she had average length hair so it's just poor planning on their part. They were apologetic but that doesn't make up for missing my dinner res. What was supposed to be relaxing on a vacation ended up ruining the night. Do not recommend. *edit* read their response! This was not the case - I had to teach her what to do.
