These truffles are superb! I ordered 20, and the month after, I have ordered 20 more. The nice thing about his website is that you can pick and choose your truffles. I have tried pretty much all of them. These truffles are not only delicious, they are made with local quality ingredients. Moreover, they are a good size, very substantial. I have spoken twice with Bliss, the creator of these edible gems, and he is a delightful person, very easy to talk to. He gets the orders out fast, your truffles are shipped with great care. I was on a hunt for some local chocolates to send to my mom for mother's day so naturally my first stop was the Oly Farmers Market. When we walked up the person running this spot offered a sample, naturally we said yes, I'm always down to try out some local, handmade deliciousness. We got handed a chocolate melting wafer... I'm sorry, what! Not a small piece of one of your actual chocolates. I'm not saying go and pass out full on peices but cutting them into 4ths or even 8ths would sure give someone a better idea of what you're all about. Based off the melting wafer I would have walked away as it taste no different from ones I've purchased from local craft stores. We did end up buying 2 chocolates to see if we liked the finished product. They were smooth and creamy, I'll rave about that. It's been a few months now but if memory serves me correct my husband tried a salted goat's cheese cheesecake and said it was a little too salty. I got the honey bee pollen truffle but majority of the pollen got scraped off after the second nibble in. read more

Oooh, lucky review 777! And it just so happens to be about chocolate & truffles...and we were very lucky to come across them on our visit to the area. The Hubs and I each picked up a truffle at their booth in the Olympia Farmers Market. We had the Goat Cheese Cheesecake & the Toasted Coconut flavors and both were very good and quite large. They had a large selection of flavors to choose from and most flavors seemed to have a Vegan and Dairy-free option as well, which was very nice. They were $3 each, so certainly not inexpensive but you could tell it was quality chocolate & ingredients and like I said, there were pretty big. They had special deal if you purchase 12 qty...I think it was a punch card deal so you get it punched each time you buy one. Since we don't live in the area we didn't bother with the punch card, but good to know if you are a local. The girl working their booth was very nice and was offering folks free samples as they passed by, too. read more

Stopped by their booth at the Olympia Farmers Market yesterday.. DELICIOUS. Best option of vegan truffles around. I tried 3 flavors I hadn't before.. Lavender Mint, (which I devoured before I could get a picture), Almond Butter Crunch, and Espresso. I love chocolate and couldn't resist this booth at the market. But the truffles didn't hit the spot for some reason. The only one I really enjoyed was the espresso. read more

I hope the owner doesn't mind that I placed him on the Yelp map. We bought his truffles at Issaquah Salmon Days. I don't think he has a real store front. I had to give kudos for his amazing chocolates. I have had amazing chocolates before and these rank right up there along with the best of them. They aren't the prettiest chocolates in the world, but they may the tastiest. All of them full of flavor and luscious textures. We only bought four. I wish we had bought double that because I have no idea when I'll be seeing this guy again (if ever). I'll certainly be making a point of attending Salmon Days next year if only in the hopes that he will again be one of the vendors. Brother Bliss as he is called does an equal assortment of dairy-based and vegan truffles. We bought a sea salt chocolate covered caramel, a vegan Chai truffle, a blackberry wine truffle, and a cabernet sauvignon truffle. The chocolates are larger than your average high-end chocolates and come pre-wrapped. A couple of them when opened up had chocolate bloom, which usually indicates an error in tempering. Do not let that deter you. The texture and flavor were amazing. The chocolate shells were thick, again making them seem home-made (well yes they are) but all the better to taste that chocolate. The truffle insides were perfect. Luscious and smooth. One center seemed almost fluffy but still dark. The vegan Chai chocolate had a smoother, denser texture. Definitely different from the non-vegan but I wouldn't have been able to tell it was vegan unless told (made with coconut oil). The caramel was the best of the bunch. Thick, chewy caramel with a perfect, thick chocolate coating. As good as the textures are, the flavors are even better. The Chai hit you over the head with spice. The blackberry wine was tart and the cabernet sauvignon was beautifully boozy. None of the chocolates were overly sweet. A heavenly combination of textures and flavors. This guy knows what he's doing. read more

I first discovered these chocolates at the Northwest Folklife Festival at the Seattle Center. I wish I had bought more! Quality organic ingredients really make a difference. You can taste the freshness. I have tried several and although there are some flavors that weren't my favorite (lavender, and chipotle, although perfectly done, is a bit spicy for me) they are amazing and obviously high quality. $3 each is a fair price. I've had them shipped twice and not only is shipping quick but they arrived very carefully packaged with a cold pack. This is my favorite indulgence for myself. We found this amazing place at the Olympia farmers market. Everything is organic, all natural no chemicals. It is so delicious we will definitely be buying more next time we go to the market!!!! Super friendly owner as well!!! We tried the smoked salted Carmel truffle the smoked chipotle, and the strawberrry blueberry. read more
