Even while making the appointment I was able to get great communication. The lady who did the actual braiding was very compassionate towards my daughters tolerance and was accepting of the amount of hair my daughter has. I have a daughter who has hair down to her bottom when straightened so I am very cautious of who I let do her hair. She is ALL natural and I watched every technique of how her hair was handled. I approve and was grateful for the tender care! Thanks. A little pricey for what was done. $80 for half up/ half down straight back braids. But hey, what isn't overpriced here in Denver!?

I went to HairDynasty by Maya Mamine Doumbia to get my hair done. This is now the second time. My…read morehair before was beautiful but my experience was horrible. I was hoping that it would improve at the next appointment because it is hard to find people to do your hair well in Colorado so I was willing to give it another try. I showed her a reference picture of a middle part with bangs. She said she could do it and took the 3 bundles I had. During my appointment their were several time where she stated she was doing something for my service but was in the back eating for almost 20 minutes at two different points doing my hair. When I looked up and told her she was not doing my hair correctly she stated that she thought I wanted my hair down with leave out straight as bangs. (No one would ever ask for that). I told her it was not what I asked for and I would like her to either install it with bangs that were unused with to the hair I bought as I requested or change the part to not have bangs if she felt she could not do it. She proceeded to makeshift two random braids in the front of my hair. It looked horrible and still does. I told her I was unhappy with how it looks and that it was not what I asked for. You were able to a large gap between the braids she put in the front. She then added another row. I told her I was not ok with how it looks and it wasn't what I asked for. She told me that it was because it was wet and to let it dry. I let her know the next day it was ok. The install overall was poor. There were tracks showing, it wasn't versatile and it wasn't what I asked for. She lied and said I never asked for my original photo to the point I had to screen record my history. She then told me she could only fix it with a closure and I would need to pay for it. She then said she couldn't fix it and when I asked for my money back she sent me less than half of what I paid for and because she felt she was in her feet for 2 hours but you was eating for half my appointment and prioritizing herself over a paying client to the degree she rushed through my service and did not give me what I asked for. I told her I would try to get something fixed with that because I felt sorry for her because I know she is pregnant. However that is not ok you gaslighted a client about what they asked for, fully played in my hair, and took advantage of mitigating the situation multiple times. And when I asked for my full refund because this is not fixable and you also damaged the hair I paid for which was more than the service I have not received a response and the instagram page is no longer available to me. I understand things happen but theirs a difference in taking advantage of people and I truly believe that she felt as if I wouldn't say anything about it because I don't like to speak ill of othered and that I don't care about the money because I don't but this affected part of my ability to perform yesterday because of the visible angle of hair and I am appreciative of people coming together to fix it so I was able to perform in cheer yesterday. And I don't someone to miss out because people lack respect across all clients! And even then their was so much more wrong then the style. My braids are showing and it's overall poorly installed to have paid over $500 collectively.

Tess. the thing that's most disappointing about this is that I followed the guidelines set out by WeeklyPlus on your deal. If you can't answer phone calls and respond to voicemails, why not just say on your voicemail that you can't do that? Why not just say to send you an email, text you, or use the online booking system. Your voicemail doesn't say that. It says you *can* use the online system, but it does't say that you won't return phone calls. Better yet - why not say in the fine print of a deal that people who buy the deal MUST book their appointments online? But who I am to tell you to how to run a business? I get that you are a one-person operation. It's just sad that the only way I could get a response from you is to publicly post a review calling you out. I was prepared to delete the review and just not care, but I really don't appreciate being called a liar on a public format. I called you and left two voice mails. Do you want screenshots from my phone as proof? Sheesh. Maybe you couldn't find the voicemail because the two messages I left were buried among the other voicemails you didn't return either? Why would I go through the trouble to make that up? I mean, seriously? Why? I already had my mom get a refund from WeeklyPlus for the coupon. I am not a liar, and I sincerely do not appreciate your insinuation that I am one.
