I found her through the great reviews on Google maps, and her website was incredibly professional and easy to book with. I tried the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage for the first time, and I really enjoyed it! It was nice to have areas worked that are normally skipped with Swedish and other types of massages. And that's not all... I used to go to a couple of different franchises as a member, and House of Harmony is so much better! I was greeted with aromatherapy right when I walked in, and she continued to use it throughout the session. Camilla doesn't skimp on the aromatherapy OR the water - she gave me a bottle instead of one of those little paper cups! The center strikes a great balance of homey & professional, with lovely lights, artwork, and decor that gives it personality vs the more cold and sterile atmosphere at the franchises. The linens on the massage table were heavenly. Also, her membership packages are reasonably priced, and very flexible. She didn't try to sell me on them either - I brought them up to her. There isn't that feeling of pressure to get a membership or buy products that the other places have. That said, I was happy to get a membership and can't wait for my next appointment!

I don't mind that the massage therapist didn't really speak too much English but just the Swedish massage I received was probably one of the weirdest ones yet. I left a little more tense than I arrived I think, and my neck is a lot low sore than it would be after a typical Swedish massage. Enter Steven: I needed corrective massage to maintain my performance goals while training my body intensely for obstacle course racing. I took recommendations for therapists left and right, but couldn't find anyone who made a noticeable difference. Then a friend recommended a therapist named Steven, who she said would "turn my body into a wet noodle" (in the best kind of way). Since finding Steven, I cannot imagine going to anyone else for a massage. He is not only extremely well-versed in all forms of massage, but he is more knowledgable about every single body part, tendon and muscle in my body than my own doctor! I have not had a pain that I've brought to him that he couldn't completely relieve. I even once had terrible migraine headache that I'd been suffering through for three days when I went in to see him one evening. I didn't think massage could do much for it, but incredibly, he took away the tension in one session. It was remarkable. I've also been to Steven with neck pain, and locked up muscles and joints from rigorous athletic training, he knew what to do in each case to provide relief. Our 2 hour couples massage went from $310, because the front desk guy kept upselling us, like coming into the massage rooms during the massage, which is absolutely insane. For one, it's creepy, it made me feel extremely uncomfortable, I always request women masseuses because I was molested by a male masseuse at age 14. For two, it's predatory. People in a relaxed state are more prone to agreement, which I've seen actual legal contracts be voided for. We also were not given pricing for this ridiculous add ons, and we were not warned of the effects of cupping. We have bruises up and down our backs. Anyways our massage was $200 more than we agreed to during the initial booking at the front desk. Can't recommend this place in good conscience. I will likely be doing a chargeback or filing a dispute or a complaint with the licensing board. Massage rooms should be a safe place. These are not.
