Bill responded within 30 minutes of me reaching out and had his foreman, Fred, come out that same evening. After taking some simple measurements and discussing the vision we had, we received our estimate that same evening. That same evening, we had a second contractor come out who came in $400 more and did not include any planting. Bill and Fred agreed not only to lay rock but also plant succulents for $400 less than the other contractor. Fred was very communicative throughout the entire experience. On Friday he texted throughout the day, sending pictures of the rock and succulents to make sure we absolutely loved what was being installed. I can't say enough about how reassuring Bill's team was throughout the process. We received our estimate on Thursday, they started Saturday morning, and the project was completed by Saturday evening. Fred even went above and beyond by retuning the irrigation system to suit the new vegetation. Overall, So Cal Artificial Turf went above and beyond to bring our vision to life. From the start, the experience has been frustrating and disappointing. Their services are expensive, and I expected quality work. Unfortunately, that's not what I received. The owner, Gabriel Mariano, planted diseased trees and assured me they would recover in warmer weather or be replaced. Months later--after numerous phone calls and site visits--nothing has been done. Communication has been all talk, with no follow-through. The concrete patio was another major issue. It was poured with a weak sand-and-cement mix that lacked any gravel or aggregate. I raised concerns, and they promised a quality control inspection would visit the job-site. No one ever came and Gabriel could not provide the name or license number of the concrete subcontractor they used. Bottom line: once they're paid, they disappear. They don't stand behind their work or resolve problems. I do not recommend Mariano's Landscape. The pictures speak for themselves.

They had to send out a second guy to complete the job and correct the poor work of the previous crew.
