1 Star -- Extremely Disappointing Customer Service…read more I've been a customer at Blu Express Car Wash in Placentia for several years and have maintained an active VIP membership for over a year. Until recently, I had never experienced any issues. Unfortunately, after today's experience, I will be canceling my membership and taking my business elsewhere. As I was entering the car wash today, an employee wearing glasses and a light-colored shirt (possibly beige) began whistling at me and aggressively yelled, "LET'S GO!" as if I were some kind of animal. There was absolutely no reason for this behavior. No one was waiting in line behind me, and there were only two other vehicles on the property--one already going through the wash and another at the vacuums. The interaction was completely unnecessary, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Unfortunately, I couldn't address it at that moment because I had to keep my windows up while entering the wash. To make matters worse, when I exited the car wash, there was a significant amount of soap still left on my vehicle. I pulled around and politely asked another employee if I could go through the wash one more time to have the soap properly rinsed off. He refused. When I asked to speak with a manager, he told me the manager had already left for the day. Rather than offering a reasonable solution, the employee proceeded to wipe the soap off my vehicle with a DRY towel, without my permission or any water to properly rinse the soap away. I immediately pulled my vehicle away and told him to stop because I did not want my paint potentially scratched or damaged. Instead of apologizing or attempting to resolve the situation, he continued making disrespectful remarks. As someone who has supported this business for several years and paid for a VIP membership for over a year, I expect two very basic things: a properly washed vehicle and respectful customer service. Today, I received neither. What makes this even more frustrating is that the entire situation could have been resolved by simply allowing me to run my vehicle through the wash again. Instead, I was met with rude behavior, dismissive attitudes, and absolutely no effort to make things right. This was genuinely one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. It's disappointing to see a business treat a longtime, loyal, paying customer this way. I will be canceling my VIP membership and finding a car wash that values its customers and takes pride in the service it provides.

It still misses the back of the car. The vacuums are great, and I've never had to wait for one, unlike the one on Tustin Ave in Orange, which can get crazy busy. I do appreciate the longer drive-thru, so you're not stuck on the street waiting to pull in. Prices seem to keep going up, but sadly, that's everywhere. Still, the monthly program is worth it. Sometimes I'll just stop it because there's a smudge on my windshield and I'm too lazy to clean it myself.

I think yesterday the tunnel kind of froze for a bit cause I was at the end and it wasn't launching me forward anymore. Not sure exactly what that was, but I was able to leave without any issues. Most of the time, the employees don't really stop to offer a dash wipe, but it's probably because they think that most people are just there to go straight to the tunnel. It's fast, clean, everything works well, the staff is always friendly, and the line moves quickly. Today, I had an unexpected situation. For some reason, my car locked itself with my keys and phone inside while I was drying the outside. Melissa was incredibly kind and let me use her own phone to call a locksmith. She even made sure everything was confirmed and later helped me cancel when, fortunately, Eddie, another employee, came to the rescue. Eddie had the right tool and was able to open my car without causing any damage, so I could get my keys and be on my way. The whole situation was resolved in less than 20 minutes!
