Scam of a company. Stay away. They respond to bad reviews with a "hey, reach out to us so we can fix what went wrong" so it looks like they are taking responsibility. So you reach out to them...But then you never hear from them again. Lifetime warranty = scam! Customer satisfaction = scam! Had issues with this company from day one. But they already had my money so I felt stuck. I wish I just disputed the credit card charge and got my money back. Garbage product! Garbage company!! Way too expensive for the garbage they send you. We ordered black out blinds for 3 windows. They arrived within 4 weeks from home shopping, to measurements to installation. The installer cleaned up everything including taking down our old blinds. Very happy with the blinds and the installation! Will definitely recommend them! read more

Terrible Service. Blind arrived with default parts. Paid in full, then waited over 30 days for a part. Blinds To Go promised a partial refund for the inconvenience and then backed out. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! read more

I would just like to update this review. The fulfilment company that was handling this battery recall for the battery manufacturer was taking a very long time to get my batteries out to me (even after several calls), so I finally called Blinds To Go directly, and Mary Ann and her staff from the Davenport store were *extremely* helpful to me in getting the problem resolved. First, Mary Ann flagged the fact that I actually needed 3 new batteries, not just one. Secondly, she was able to contact the supplier and get my replacements out to me on an expedited basis. If I had just waited for the shipment from the fulfilment company, I would have still been short two batteries. Everything came this week. The installation was easy, and the blinds are again working perfectly. Many thanks to Mary Ann and her team. read more

Garbage quality,,, this junk is made in china not Montreal like they pretend! Rude customer service, mistake after mistake with these dimwits! My vertical blinds all cut too long, yes I can RECUT but for 1500 worth of blinds? My pull down shades, TOO WIDE TO FIT INTO THE FRAMES AND NO REFUND! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! WORST CHOICE IN THE CITY FOR BLINDS! read more

If you have a choice, find somewhere else !!!! Blindstogo are the worst. 1 week of installation, the blind is broken. First installation, two of the blinds are too short and they have to do a remake. Installer ripped off a big patch of paint on my wall. Scheduling team/ designer/online/email they dont know what the hack they are doing. Nobody can do things for you if something goes wrong in the future. Good luck with them if you ever purchase from them read more

Ordered blinds for my daughters apartment. Sales person was very helpful, not pushy and very good at follow through. Someone was sent to measure the windows and several weeks later an installer put them up. Paper blinds were given to cover the window while the blinds were on production. There was an error with one blind and it was handled professionally and promptly. I would recommend this store. read more

I have just posted a negative review of this business and they did deserve it - the product I have received was way below any reasonable quality level. But, I think it would be fair to post another one after the issues have been corrected. I was contacted by a representative of BlindsToGo and they asked to provide some details about the issues. I shared a couple of pictures and I was assured that this is not how it should be. I was offered to return the shades to the store and wait for a few days to have the issues corrected. Since even the spring mechanisms had issues I had really nothing to lose so I agreed. At the store I was provided with some temporary paper blinds, just to cover the windows. That was a nice gesture. I've been working in this room doing the final touches of the renovations and that sort of privacy was indeed appreciated. I have returned the shades on Thursday evening and I have received a message today, on Wednesday, that my new shades were ready for pick-up. These shades are much more like what I was expecting - good straight cuts, nothing loose, clean painted surfaces and the spring mechanisms working properly. So, the customer service does deserve a positive review, the issues have been taken care of with minimal incovenience for me. Thanks! read more

We moved from a two-bedroom apartment to a three-bedroom apartment. There were no window coverings at all in the new place, so we had to buy blinds for all three bedrooms and for the living/dining room. The service we received at Blinds To Go (Davenport) was friendly, patient, and informative. They helped us make good choices. When Luke Bertin came to measure for installation, he was exceptionally professional, careful and precise, and very personable. A few weeks later, when the blinds were ready to be installed, he returned, worked very efficiently and did a great job. We're very happy with the results. Highly recommend! read more

I had two solar shades made. One is lovely and is just what I wanted. The other was poorly made with buckling fabric at the bottom. They tried to repair it once and made it significantly worse (but sent it back to me anyway?). Then they agreed to remake it instead of repairing it. Their internal communication seems pretty scattered and I ended up with another attempted (and failed) repair job, followed by the new blind (finally). The new blind looks great, though the chain was a different length than the first one I had made so I had to fix that myself to make them look right together. I ordered these on March 21 and it's now June 10. They were helpful and tried their best to sort it out but what a saga. read more

Awful experience. Measurement team did not show on our scheduled date. We had to follow up on to figure out where they were. They had no excuse - just apologized. Had to reschedule for weeks later. Fast forward to our install appointment, which was booked weeks in advance. Took the day off to be home when they came. This time they provided us a warning on the morning of indicating they rescheduled weeks later to Christmas Eve. Customer service was wholly unhelpful. Will be seeking a refund and going elsewhere. read more

Worst customer service and quality I have ever seen. Took 4 weeks to get the blinds and the roller blinds were too short - according to them the customer is supposed to click several different tabs when ordering online to read the fine print about them cutting blinds 1 1/4 inch - no where on the online ordering system was there an alert to say OVER MEASURE - the details on the site said MEASURE EXACT. Now they refuse to fix the blinds even after spending $1000 - do yourself the favour and go to blinds.ca they are incredible and much better at what they do! read more

Walked over an hour to this store with my broken shade in hand. Spoke to an associate about a replacement shade, which she said they had discontinued. Explained that my only other option was to replace all my shades at a cost of over $2500. We got the manager over and she found the previous buyer of shades for my condo in her system, as I gave her the name. The associate was unable to do this. After lengthy discussion about previous order and discontinued product, she said the best they could do was check with their warehourse in Montreal and let me know the next day if the fabric could be remade. I told her to do this, but price out a replacement shade so I could replace all my shades using the dimensions from the previous order. She said she would let me know asap via email if the warehouse could remake the fabric. Well over two weeks has passed and I've received no email, phone call or follow-up. Seems they don't care much about keeping their customers happy or selling their product. If they followed up with me I might have considered spending thousands of extra dollars on replacing my existing shades. read more

Extremely disappointed with the entire service from Blinds to Go. Getting an appointment with Catherine was quick and easy and even quicker to accept our deposit. The customer service is shockingly awful. The installer was two hours late, followed by a torn blind and broken shade. I tried following up with Catherine on numerous occasion and no response. I had to email customer support as she just did not want to answer my calls or return my emails. My recommendation is to look elsewhere as Blinds To Go do not have a clue how to treat their customers. read more

Buyer beware. Ordered blinds from there on line. Put them up & they kept popping out of the brackets. Notified the company and they kept insisting that I had installed them incorrectly. I assured them that the instructions had been followed explicitly. Sent them pictures & ends up THEY had sent the wrong screws. They sent new screws & they were still wrong . I ended up having to go to the hardware store & buying ones that worked, I had left a message for a manager to call me to discuss over 3 weeks ago, still waiting for that return call. The company is very quick at taking your money but after that you can forget any assistance. I do not recommend this place. read more

ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL!!! Well "Kim" I did call your office and the store did offer a reduction in the cost and a few days later I got a notice the blinds were ready to be installed......"THE SAME INSTALLATION I PAID FOR" I then made an appointment for the only day you had available for the installation which was today June 17th at 11am. At 10am this morning I got a call from your installation guy identifying him self as Thomas Uramowsky. This person was rude, aggressive and obnoxious. Instead of thanking me for my business and maybe a small apology for what has happen so far and inform me he was on his way, instead Mr. Uramowsky immediately informed me within seconds of answering the phone that "HE WILL BE CHARGING ME A CONCRETE FEE", if I want him to come and install the blinds. Whatever that is... As you can imagine this was not only stunning but clearly disgraceful and inconceivable that this person would try to shake me down for more money after everything that happen. When I protested and refused to agree to pay him the shakedown fee, he got very angry and forceful and continued to insist and refuse to let me speak. I told him he needed to take this up with the office because I already paid for the installation and nowhere in the agreement or installation fee did anyone at anytime mention to me anything about a "CONCRETE FEE". Turns out you charge your customers extra money if they have to put their drill in a concrete wall vs a soft wall I guess. I would imagine this is the sort of thing you would inform consumers about before taking their money for installation. In short, this person who claim to be a representative of Blinds To Go, attempted to bully, extort and shake me down for more money or he would not install the blinds. I told him again I would not pay another dime and he said fine I'm going to hang up now which he did. 15 minutes later I got a call from the store telling me they will be sending another person tomorrow to do the installation. They also claim this bully felt intimidated by me which is why he's refusing to install the blinds.......i guess this was the only way to justify to his office after I refused to be bullied for shakedown money. Let's see how much more insult to injury they plan to perpetrate on me tomorrow or will I finally get the blinds installed after a month.... read more

You never give any thought to blinds. They just are. They're uncommodities. Like pencils or bibles or bobbypins. They magically appear and that's that. So you never think about buying them. But then that one day comes when you need to get blinds and you have no idea where to go. I'm not going to lie. The only reason we ended up here is because the word "blinds" was in the title and we felt that it was a safe bet. Walking in, I was making snide comments on how this was going to be hell and about how I had absolutely no interest in completing this task. My mind wandered to daydreams about bubble paper and bikini pillow fights. We were greeted with a friendly smile right as we walked in the door. It's amazing how much that makes you feel like you belong in a foreign environment. Laurna was outstanding at finding out exactly what we were looking for, she walked us through the seemingly-complicated options in a smart and directed manner. As silly as this sounds, she made us actually feel empowered to make the right decisions. We ordered custom blinds and they were ready to be installed in two days. Just as promised. It was way less expensive than we had ever imagined, and it actually was rather fun. One of the most surprisingly positive shopping experiences I have ever had. Strongly recommended. read more

I've bought blinds here on two separate occasions. Both times the customer service was excellent. I was able to find what I was looking for with the help of one of their associates and get quoted on a price for the dimensions I needed. For my front window, I wanted something that could be let down from the top as well as pulled up from the bottom, so I can still maintain privacy but have some airflow through the room or pull them up so my cats can look out during the day. I ended up with an accordion style blind and was able to select the fabric and colour I liked. Make sure you bring your dimensions with you when you go to buy so they can give you an accurate quote. Parking is tight but at least it's free. You won't find that anywhere else downtown and I prefer this location to the one up Dufferin. read more

Easy peasy! Lots of selection in various price ranges. Staff know their stuff. Ordered the blinds on a Monday. They were ready on Wednesday. Thursday the store's installer brought them over and installed all three in about a half hour. All shopping should be this simple. read more

I recently moved into a new place with tons of windows without coverings. In desperate need of some privacy, I went to Blinds To Go at the Davenport location. I had measured all the windows beforehand and brought these to one of the sales associates, Lynsworth Palmer, who helped give me a quote for all the blinds. I chose simple, roller blinds with valences. There was a promotion going on - buy one get one 50% off, which really helped cut down on costs. The process was simple and fast. In two weeks, I had an installer come to my house and verify the measurements, I had ordered the blinds, and had the installer pick up them up and install them for me (I'm not a handy person). I had looked into a custom blinds place before Blinds To Go and I would have paid twice as much. Really pleased with the service and quality! read more

BEWARE and go somewhere else. My blinds were defective. After several attempts to fix the problem there was no solution. I made many trips to the store with no resolution. This place is a disaster with respect to both quality of blinds & service provided. I placed an large order for romans & wooden blinds for the whole house. Four of the romans turned out to be a different fabric then I had ordered at the store. The service staff clearly remembered what we had ordered but refused to acknowledge their mistake while placing the order Then we realized all the romans (7 blinds) had a technical design problem - the curtains kept falling off the bracket. Futher the romans folded very clumsily looking untidy and ugly. A problem also developed with one of the wooden blinds which did not open completely. After much silence, delay and contacting customer service repeatedly which has worked at a snail's pace, the blinds were repaired ( it took 3 months) and were finally installed a couple of weeks ago. They have not fallen off again but still look shabby in the folding of the fabric when the curtains are raised. Also the manufacturer/store remains totally silent about the incorrect fabric provided. Overall poor quality of materials and technical design flaws in product. The whole experience made me feel as if they did me a favour by being their customer! On a positive note the private blinds installer they recommended to install the blinds turned out to be courteous and helpful. read more

Wasted two 1hr drives and attempted installation time to find out they supplied the wrong brackets, and that they provided me with an incorrectly assembled spring roller. I'm surprised at the great reviews for this company. For basically the same price as this take out and install yourself store, you can shop at home and get higher quality. I have used Blinds To Go and everything is made of plastic and wont last. You put plastic it the sun and you are basically domed. Everything is an upgrade that many independent companies automatically include. Like plastic chains vs metal chains. If you are doing one blind in a hurry, then this place is ok, if you have a big job and want to shop at home for high quality for basically the same price. Call around. read more

I picked up blinds for my apartment here last spring. They are holding up excellent. When choosing the blinds, I had excellent customer service. I was really impressed! Blinds are made in Canada (Montreal, if I recall correctly). Highly recommended. read more

Service service service... That is what I have to say about Blinds to go. I thought the process would be long and drawn out based on waiting and watching my parents order blinds when I was younger. They were so fast that we went on a Saturday and by Monday the guy came to measure and Friday they were installed (I could have had them installed Wednesday if I was available). They look great, the quality was fantastic and they even called to follow up and make sure we were happy and everything was ok. Definitely use them again. read more

I was in search for 3 small custom blinds for a room. It was a pretty small job, that an independent wouldn't take on. The windows are a peculiar size, so nothing at a home depot or anything would work. I will say that I had to seek out a sales person to help me. Once they did, it was a reasonable experience. I found it to be expensive, even with a discount, and it is really cheap material and probably not worth it, but it was the best option I could find. They were quick though. I ordered on a Thursday, called in on Friday to confirm the measurements. They were ready by Sunday for pick up. Not bad for a chain. read more
