Although these window treatments were on the expensive side, initially, we were very pleased with the business' owner, Stephen Murphy, the initial installation, and the quality of the shutters. In fact, we even went with the same company in March 2016 for the purchase and installation of a full sliding door shutter/screen. It was at this time that we brought our concerns about the poor operation of 8 of the 14 Plantation shutters to Mr. Murphy's attention. As we demonstrated to him at that time, either one side or the other of the shutters in question did not remain in the desired position. They were simply too loose. His initial response was to put a plastic spacer on one shutter in an attempt to tighten it up. It didn't work. He stated that upon the installation of our new slider shutter in April the technician would address the shutters in question. The technician did attempt to repair two shutters after he had installed our slider shade/shutter in April, but stopped work after an hour and stated the owner would have to take care of them because the repair was more involved than he thought. When I contacted Mr. Murphy in April 2016 he told me that he would personally remedy the problem, but was waiting for "a special tool" from Hunter Douglass to do so. Fast forward to today, August 26th. Since that time we have contacted Blinds and Designs on numerous occasions to get this issue resolved but have been given the proverbial run-around for over 4 months. We have since been in contact with the Hunter Douglas headquarters to inquire about repair, relief, or refund, but the best they have been able to do is call Blinds and Designs on our behalf. Coincidentally, Hunter-Douglas headquarters informed us that there never was or will be a "special tool" for the repairs needed to make our shutters whole. They also informed us that another company could come in (at our expense), remove the shutters in question, and send them out for repair, again, at our expense. Needless to say we are disappointed in Blinds and Designs' response and unwillingness to provide the needed repairs in a timely manner. Consequently, we are exploring other avenues for the redress we deserve.

Now they dont even want to stand by thier work. everyone who install doors knows its just not measuring door entry you have to account for all obstacles and st least tell the customer before u accept work. not just accept to get work and not do the work correctly. i called and they said the owner did the measure. Elderly woman told me she paid $9500 for 2 doors. Presumably that was including installation but possibly not.​

I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again. Long Story: I have some Hunter Douglas skylight shades (installed in 2016 by another company no longer in business) and recently one of them stopped working. After doing some troubleshooting I determined that it was the motor. I contacted HD directly to see if I could order a new motor and install it myself but they don't do that. They told me to use their website to find a local HD dealer/installer. I first called the more local company (10 minutes away) and talked to them but they said that they weren't interested in just replacing the motor and were only interested if I wanted to replace all the skylight shades. Yeah, I don't think so! I called Window Treatments Etc next (about 30 minutes away) and talked with John F about the problem. He trusted my troubleshooting process and without any pressure to do more he ordered a new motor and said he'd get back to me when it came in. In a few weeks he called to schedule the install of the new motor. He came out to my house on the scheduled day, confirmed the motor was bad, and replaced it in about 30 minutes. He was a nice guy, very professional, and friendly. I paid a very reasonable cost for the motor and the labor. It seems rare these days to just get someone to come out and do a simple, small job like this without the pressure to do more unnecessary work or paying a ridiculously jacked up price. I am truly impressed that John was not like that at all. If/when the motors in my other HD skylight shades fail I will definitely be calling John F at Window Treatments Etc! Thank you John!

The most irresponsible granite company on Cape Cod! They were disrespectful to my mother and steam…read morerolled over her! They convinced her she was wrong and tried to cut into our cabinets to make up for their clear mistakes. The measurements they took were wrong in two pieces and bowed the wall so the fridge couldn't fit! The man was rude, interrupted us as we spoke and took no fault for the companies obvious mistake. Dianie who is the face of the company, often offered discounts and then denied it later. Luckily my mom had her on voicemail so we had to prove it to her to get the promised discount. Finally they brought in a carpenter who could see their mistake in seconds! Finally someone who knows basic math and physics! We put up with this for a month! Never trust this pathetic excuse for a company! Amazon you should all be humiliated with yourselves for the way you treated my mom. Unacceptable!
