Blinds unlimited recently measured helped design and installed shades and shutters for us. They did an absolute excellent job, fast efficient and cleaned everything after themselves. To add Ericka spent sometime working with us to confirm the exact type of shutters we wanted in each room as some shutters were cafe style other full and also wood vs vynal. Felt very scared having this company in my house. I would not recommend using this company. They measured and installed my blinds wrong and then when they came back out they had the wrong information about the payment method. The guy who did the install (also partial owner of the company) threatened me and I felt very scared with him in my house. I wanted to write a review on Bob Richard's professionalism and quality of his work. I went to my friend's house and saw the quality of solid red oak CUSTOM made blinds. It is totally sensational! It blocks the sun when needed or welcomes it in showing the quality of this expertise work. In this superb quality home, these blinds are what was needed to bring out the luxury of this warm look. Located in the hallway is an extremely high placed window and Bob saw fit to install a very impressive motorized blind. I also was very impressed at the distance he was willing to travel. I can see that Bob takes extreme pride in his work. I also know that another observer loved his work so much that she also chose to hire him. I only wish I would have known him before we had our blinds installed because I would without a doubt would have him do it. read more

Months later, I received a call from the new PR person at Blinds Unlimited who was concerned with the review I posted. In particular, she was confused as to why I would re-order if I was not happy the first time. The answer is simple: I had two small windows that I originally did not want covered, then changed my mind. Also, as this is a second home, I was doing this all long distance. I wanted the shutters to match what I had put in already and it was easier to call Blinds Unlimited back. I assumed the problems of the original install were a fluke and gave them the benefit of the doubt. All of the incidents described in my first review are true and were frustrating particularly the attitude of the fellow who was to install the temporary blinds and the mix-ups with the scheduling of the install for the second order. I will note that after the mix-up with the second installation, Bob offered to discount the amount due by $100 for the inconvenience. Overall I am satisfied now that the job is complete and I have upgraded my rating to ok because these are very nice people. My recommendation is that if you decide to hire Blinds Unlimited, be prepared to keep on top of them until the job is done. read more

Customer service needs total improvement. Ordered custom window treatments for 14 windows. An issue with the manufacturer left me with 3 of 4 unfinished rooms and resolving that took weeks. After this mistake I asked for a discount from the manufacturer, through a series of miscommunications and all they could offer was $50.00, an insult. I wished I looked around more and would NOT use or refer this company. read more
