I highly recommend this business. I was visited by Rick and he went over everything the company could offer, to help me with curtains for my slider. It was a complicated situation because of the frame around the slider left little room for standard fixtures and the width and height of the slider was very large. Rick had samples of curtain swatches with him and made some wonderful suggestions in that area also. He left me a few swatches to help me decide which fabric would work best. We just had a great experience with the Innuwindow service technician Steve. We had problems with the remote controlled Silhouette shades in our bedroom and Steve, rather than just removing them and sending back to the manufacturer (a usual practice for the shades that are still under warranty), spent a lot of time trying to investigating the problem, found the root cause and came back next day to replace the faulty part and the problem was fixed. read more

Stopped by to get some rough prices for window blinds and treatments. There is an array of fabrics and styles to select from. But of course it is pricey. For one room at about $500- $1000 for blinds and drapes it would have cost me too much to outfit one bedroom. We want the automatic blinds wired into the room and the cost of that was in addition to the original quote. Ouch. And then to learn they may not back up their products. Mmm doesn't give me a good taste and I am not reviewing food. read more

Tons of options! You could go through the fabric for hours! They came and installed the window treatment and it only took about 20 minutes. There was a mix up with scheduling originally that was quickly remedied. I feel that they should have someone help you go through the fabrics though. I purchased a Hunter-Douglas shade about 15 years ago from Innuwindow and have been happy with their product ever since. A few years ago, I had them restrung there for a reasonable price and then recently had to restring them again. Upon receiving the shade back, I experienced some problems with it, and went back and forth with Jeff, who was very attentive and responsive and ultimately it all worked out. I was very hesitant to go with them in the beginning because the review was not even 3 stars, and the pictures under this business were very old fashion. However, I decided to give it a try after a lot of searching and I am glad I did! If,and only if, you have a project That equals thousands of dollars, will employees will call back. Our first project with them required custom drapes and custom pillows and a large payday. The second time and third time we reached out, for smaller projects, we received a variety of promises that someone would call back, but no one did. We recently had solar shades installed in very over-sized windows. We had 4 companies come and give estimates, and they beat every one - for the same product! Rick came out to give the estimate very quickly after I inquired,and gave us the proposal on the spot. He was extremely knowledgeable about the options available to us, and really knew his business. Shades came in earlier than expected, and the installation was scheduled quickly. Chris and Jason could not have been better. Every detail was managed, and the shades are amazing! We went with them for all of the above reasons, as well as because the installers work for the company. Other companies sub it out. From the very beginning, through the install, and after I felt they were on top of it and wanted to get it right.This was a very complicated project, and there were literally no glitches!! Good purchasing experience. Quite disappointing installation and service experience. Installation was done poorly and had to be redone. In another instance the the blinds sagged and the response was "this is the product you purchased" and a suggestion to replace one if them with a different product. I spent a lot of money and selected good quality Kravet fabrics for 7 windows and regret having hired this company. I had the worst experience imaginable with Innu Window. They appeared to have a nice variety of options and relatively knowledgeable salespeople, but when I purchased an expensive custom blind that the salesperson assured me was durable and high-quality, what they delivered broke after 3 weeks. Moreover, neither their technician nor the store owner bothered to understand what went wrong, they simply let their manufacturer deal with it - and were totally unresponsive. What they returned to me over a month later was simply taped together with a couple pieces of scotch tape, and clearly unable to last another 3 weeks. I had the technician take it back. After much argument, the store owner reluctantly and quite rudely gave me a refund. read more

When we started looking for "bottom up-top down" shades for new condo I assumed all Hunter-Douglas places were the same. I found that Innuwindow was more competitive on pricing (in fact, the owner gave a discount if we would pledge the same amount for the Cancer Ride, really great on his part). When the shades were installed they just weren't right and we found we had, for a relatively small fee, the option of exchanging them for a shade which would work better. The replacements arrived and I was so impressed with the care that their installers, Tim and Chris, displayed in making sure they were right. There is never any sense that they need to get on to the next job. They are very thorough. There have been a couple of bugs in the electric motor controls but they have been fabulous is following through even to the point of getting a Hunter Douglas representative to look at them. Things aren't perfect (that is a HD issue) but the service from Innuwindow has been well up to the mark. read more

I needed attractive but room darkening window treatments for the very large windows in my new condo's master bedroom. The salesman/designer was very helpful in showing me a variety of options at different price points. When a feature for controlling the shades was only available on a more expensive product, instead of encouraging me to get that option, he recommended more affordable options to meet my needs. The installer was friendly and efficient and pointed out an imperfection in the product. He will order a new one and replace the installed shade as soon as it arrives. Very impressed with the customer service and would be happy to recommend InnuWindo. read more

This update is in response to Jeff K. comment which may confuse potential clients of InnuWindow and persuade them that it worth to try this company. First of all, I'd never write such a comparison without being 100% sure that I'm comparing precisely them same products. So, all the products and all the specifications are completely the same. The only difference is the numbers after $ sign. Again, the only competition InnuWindow wins is in terms of appetites. It is clear that all the words regarding 'repetitive business' and 'best experience' don't make any sense since there is no way InnuWindow can prove it. The only thing which is of importance is feedback since one can look at that. And here I don't have to say much - everything is more that clear for all yelpers. There are two 'fishy' 5-star reviews from yelpers with just one review each while experienced and trustworthy yelpers gave one and two stars. That's where consumers have to look at! PS. That's not the end of the story about appetites. Initially I decided not to mention it in my first review, but Jeff K. basically forced my to write it here now. Besides Hunter Douglas, we were also shopping for motorized drapery rods. Mitch offered us Somfy brand. As one may guess, we ended up with another retailer for precisely the same brand. Why? That said, the real reason we return is because this retailer absolutely cares that their customers are totally satisfied. From the initial visit to the installation and the follow-through they ensure that everything is to your complete satisfaction. These folks know the product, how to address all issues and concerns, and are professional and courteous in every respect. The salesman/designer--Massimo--we have worked with over the years is knowledge and very responsive. When we had an issue with a product defect (not the fault of Innuwindow but that of the manufacturer), the owner reached out to us to help resolve the problem. We live in the Back Bay of Boston and there are many retailers/designers nearby who offer blinds, shades, shutters, top treatments, etc. We have never been tempted to try anyone else.... read more

This is a great co to do business with. We had bought a number of Hunter Douglas shades 5-6 years ago. The pull mechanism on one broke. They sent it back to manu for $10, and manu sent us a new one but (a) the head rail size was different and (b) they forget brackets. AS there are two windows side by side, different head rail sizes was a problem. Innuwindow had manu send us another shade and sent someone to the house to install both at no charge. Talk about staying with their customers! Great service. read more

We had a great experience with Innuwindow when purchasing Hunter Douglas shades for our entire house. Mitch, our design consultant, was willing to come out to our home late one evening so that we could complete the paperwork for the purchase and get in on the last day of an ongoing promotion. This allowed us to save a lot of money! We had shopped around and Innuwindow's price was very comparable to others - including Costco which is typically much cheaper. However the service from Innuwindow was by far better. Two of our shades were not working properly soon after installation, and Innuwindow replaced them for free. Mitch even came to our home to re-install them free of charge. It was truly a pleasurable experience to work with this company. read more

My mother and I stopped in Innuwindow yesterday afternoon ready to place an order for a custom shade for our newly remodeled bathroom. We were treated rudely enough to warrant a Yelp review. The woman working yesterday afternoon acted as though we interrupted her lunch when we arrived in the store. Not only did she not ask any questions to help us narrow down our search, but she didn't direct us at all to what would be available/best fit for our new bathroom. Maybe this salesperson didn't deem us fit to be shopping in the store because we were in gym clothes? Whatever the case may be, the customer service was absolutely horrible, and was downright embarrassing. We couldn't have left the store fast enough, and we won't be back. The man standing at the counter as we clearly left in a huff didn't seem to be phased at all, so apparently this must be a common occurrence. Spend your money elsewhere! Why deal with horrible customer service when wonderful treatment is so readily available these days? read more

I hate to disparage any establishment, however, my experience was so bad that I have to share with others so they don't have the same experience. Several years ago Innuwindow custom made my family room wood shades. The string that raises the shade broke on one window. I brought the shade into Innuwindow and they said it would be back in two weeks. I paid them $90 to fix a string. A month later the shade still was not back. When it did arrive I drove out to get it. I installed it right away but the new string would not release and allow me to pull down the shade. I went back to Innuwindow and fortunately they did get it unfrozen. I installed it a second time only to find the shade was not my shade at all as it was 6 inches too short. They said they would send it back and I am still waiting get it back. The problem I have is one of timing as I am moving out of state and have put my house on the market and would like all the windows in the family room to be covered the same. I was told that the shade would be back before last Friday and I was moving on Saturday. They called to tell me it would be back on the 17th of the month but I was moving on the 8th. The woman I spoke to was very smug and told me they would hold it there in the store till I could come back from Florida to get it. They have had this shade now for two months for a broken string and they can't get it right. I guess once they have your money they don't give a damn how long or how inconvenienced you are. I will Never do business with this company and I just warn you to be careful because their customer service stinks!! read more

It took until the sunny early mornings of April for me to realize that the bright sun was costing about an hour of sleep every morning. I went online and searched for window treatments in my area. I came across Innuwindow's website, and saw a great selection of shades and blinds. Since the showroom was close to me, I decided I would just drive to the actual store to search for the shades. From the moment I walked in the door, I had a terrific experience with Innuwindow. I was taken care of extremely well by the staff, and had my shades picked out an hour after I walked in. An employee came to my house and measured my windows, and the order was put in the same day. When the shades arrived, Innuwindow called me to schedule an installation time. The installer was courteous, prompt, and did a great job installing my windows. To top it all off, today I got a call from Innuwindow making sure that I was enjoying my new shades and that everything went smoothly.
