They weren't able to help me fix my shutters, but they were the only company that was willing to try. Everyone was very nice and I witnessed happy customers leaving with their shades and blinds. They didn't charge me for trying. read more

Excellent, efficient experience. Visited Blind Speed / Sparkle Blinds as a referral from Hunter Douglas for warranty repair of a roman shade system which wasn't working properly. Arrived a few minutes before shop opened, and the very helpful and kind gentleman opened the doors early for me. Got me right in, knew exactly what the issue was and got to work. Less than 10 minutes start-to-finish - amazing! Would highly recommend for any blinds repair or customization needs. read more

In the past this Company was our go to for Venetian Blind repair. Apparently, the son is now in charge. He arrived at our home without a measuring tape, scoped out the house instead of paying attention to the task and was pretty rough while messing with the blinds. We thought maybe this was a one off, so my sister traveled to the shop where she encountered more odd behavior from his associate. Sadly we no longer trust this company and are still trying to figure out why he came to the house since he showed absolutely no interest in doing the job we requested...maybe lunch? Our home is in the beach area. read more

The window covering pros! They've cleaned and serviced my blinds for many years. Their prices for new blinds are very reasonable and they carry the top names and can order just about anything. I highly recommend them! read more

I walked in with broken blinds believing it might be time to replace them. No. 15 minutes later I was walking out with them repaired for a very small and reasonable price. Great value, quality work, and did the job with no consideration that I could have purchased a much more costly new set. I'm very appreciative. read more

I have an old Hunter Douglas-style sheer shade (Silhouette) whose lift cord snapped. Blind Speed Sparkle Blinds repaired it in 15 minutes and it did not cost an arm and a leg! Every person that I interacted with were very helpful - they made my day! Thank you team and fellow San Diego Neighbors! read more

Blind Speed took my blinds, cleaned, repaired and reinstalled. Several months later I noticed some problems. Called Blind Speed and they came out corrected the issue and fixed several other areas I thought were normal but weren't. Jason did an excellent job correcting my blinds. I would definitely recommend Blind Speed Sparkle Blinds in a heart beat. read more

Gosh, I am so happy a local place to fix window blinds still exists. I was able to get new blinds cut to exact dimensions on several occasions. Friendly, small business with great service that derves community support! read more

They repaired our Hunter Douglas blinds at no charge to us. They had old parts in stock and were able to repair

Total rip off. Do not use them. Carlos came to my house and it was a $100 service charge to visit. That's fine, they told me in advance about it and I agreed. When he got here he pressed a couple of buttons on the remote to program one blind and told me that's another $45 for the one second of pressing buttons as part of the service. But he never gave me an option. It's bait and switch gimmick pricing. Do not trust their verbal quote because they mislead paying customers. I don't care about $45. It's the principal that matters. He should have told me in advance that I could program one blind myself or he could do it for $45 and given me the option. read more

This place is still open and still amazing. They can fix, clean, restring etc any blind you have. I am always impressed with their friendly staff and superior service. They even have those cool parts you may need like real wooden pulls and string inserts to hold the rockers in place. Old school fix-it shop, let's keep them in business! Worth the drive from anywhere in San Diego. Today's project - clean and restring a wooden blind about 42x52. Price - $71. Bargain! read more

Very nice and helpful. I went in with a problem with my parents blinds asking how I could fix it. I showed them a picture of the blinds and the problem, and they went back and found blinds similar to mine and showed me how to take it apart, fix the problem, and then put it back together. They would normally charge someone to fix the blinds, but I was hoping to do it myself to save my elderly parents money, and they were kind enough to show me, and I was able to fixed it on my own. My parents and I are appreciative of their help and kindness. read more

Had an existing problem with a Hunter Douglas verti-glide and an automatic blind that wouldn't work. I called this company because they were recommended by Hunter Douglas . On appointment day Carlos showed up at appointed time and fixed both of the problems. He was professional and friendly. My only negative was the service call - they were located in downtown San Diego! But I was notified beforehand. He even offered to return with some parts I needed. read more

The person I spoke to on the phone was so kind and considerate. Very trustworthy. Technician was on time and quick.

I needed my door's blind repaired, it would not move up and down so basically it was useless except for the magic of the helpful personnel at Blind Speed, especially Caesar. I had thought that I would have to replace the shade which would have been quite costly. Instead, the offered repair was timely, accurate and quite surprisingly because of the warranty, free. I was super impressed with the atmosphere of this workshop, the congeniality of the workers there and the convenience of their timely service. Thank you! read more

I just had Carlos come by from Blind Speed Sparkle Blinds and I can't say enough good things about him. He showed up early, asked if I could accommodate an earlier appointment and fixed my electric roller shade in the same visit. Professional, re aligned the shade so it wouldn't fray. I am a realtor so I am thrilled to have a reputable company I can recommend. read more

Anthony and team at Blind Soeed were amazing in repairing an old Hunter Douglas Luminette shade rail that was broken and could not be repaired by my installer. They were the only company in the county that would be able to perform the repair which saved me having to replace the entire system. Even though the parts were not covered by the warranty, the end cost was reasonable given the time and effort put in to perform the repair. Overall - was extremely happy with the service. read more

I took in 10 large (5-6' wide) venetian blinds that were nearly 30 years old, and which had accumulated so much dust and so forth that most of the tilt wands wouldn't work, and most of the drawstrings(?) wouldn't lift or lower the blinds. And a couple wands were broken. IOW, in awful condition. BSSB washed them thoroughly, did a few repairs, and replaced the broken ones, for what I'd call a very reasonable price: well under 10% of what replacement would have cost (from checking with other shops). Each employee I spoke with was friendly and helpful. I don't know whether it's family-owned, but it has that feel. Y hablan Español. (And I'd like to add that everything "Brian M" said last July is still true.) read more

Needed a house call for an oversized blind that required a new rotor and reinstallation. Took two visits because it wasn't as straightforward as expected. I am happy with the service person's level of knowledge, cost, and end result. read more

A 35 yr old pleated shade cord lock had disintegrated. Tried several North County repair folks but no one could help. I called Blind Speed, left a message, they called back that day, sent pictures to them, and they called back that they could repair and had the replacement parts! I drove down there and waited while they replaced the part. Reinstalled the shade in the room with her other 5 sisters! read more

I've been using Sparkle Blind for probably 20+ years. They are always responsive, and they make you feel as though you are a long-time friend. Their work is always excellent. They pick up, clean, and then return your blinds the same day. read more

After waiting on Saturday for a technician to show we found out the owner gave them the wrong cell to call. They arranged a time for the technician to come Tuesday between 12-2 then cancelled at 1045 am. They wouldn't reschedule- avoid at all costs- unprofessional and not reliable. Thank goodness was referred for another company to handle same day. read more

It gets better - set up a follow on appointment and they didn't show again. 2 days wasted.

We are delighted to share that the people from Blind Speed/Sparkle Blinds, Inc. were punctual, polite, did what they said they would do, and at a reasonable price. We would definitely recommend them! The owner came to our home, checked the functioning of each of the blinds - we have lots - and determined that they were all in working order. He recommended cleaning; no need to buy new ones. We made an appointment soon after for a tech to take the blinds down, wrapped in their cords, identify them by number and take them for cleaning. The valances were carefully stacked at our home. The blinds were returned and re-installed promptly as scheduled. We were happy to see that the slats and cords were VERY clean! The valances were cleaned here and reattached. Some pulls were replaced as needed (if the paint was scratched) and the blinds were adjusted to our satisfaction. The owner had recommended replacing some cord tilts with wand tilters; this is a nice upgrade. In all, we are very pleased! Cathy and Marc Zemlick read more

Said that they would be here at 10:30 and they were. Said that they would return the blinds between 3:30 and 4:30. They were here at 4:00. The blinds look great. Zachary was excellent. read more

Would leave zero stars if I could. Dropped off a single blind for a repair and when I got home I realized that the blind had not even been touched. Went back and requested that they fix the item as they promised to do and was told it would now take two weeks. I was understanding as their location had suffered some damage. I called on the two week mark and Mike assured me they should be done in the middle of the next week. I call in middle of the following week and nothing had been done again and was told to wait another week. In all my blinds were there for over a month and they never fixed them. In addition to this, Mike is completely rude to customers on the phone and does not care about keeping your business at all. Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable shop that knows how to treat their customers. read more

I went to Blind speed to get a continuous drape pull cord for lowering and raising my drapes. The cords only last a couple of years usually. They quoted me $25.00 for a 3 foot pull cord. I felt the price was far more than reasonable and declined to buy it. I found an identical 3 ft pull cord on Amazon for $6.99. I like to support local businesses but to say this was price gouging is an understatement. I will never use them again. read more

I was so glad to find a place to repair blinds instead of having to buy new ones. Everyone was so friendly and the blinds came out perfect.

We were first told the blinds would be returned the same afternoon as picked up. Then told it would take one week. Got called on the 8th day and told it would take anther week. Very disappointing. read more

I've been there twice now for an under-warranty repair of two different shades (Hunter Douglas brand -- it was standard mechanical failure after many years of good functioning). Both times, Blind Speed repaired the shade quickly while we waited and were efficient and courteous. They were also friendly on the phone when I called ahead to mention the issue and check their hours. Based on my positive experiences, I would recommend them to others. read more

Service & quality is dependent on what you need & who is working. Some people are thorough but the price changes from the top of the head of the person you speak with. I can get small items for my blinds which are inexpensive & I can take it home to install it myself. Other items like blinds I've been given three different prices. I would say make them put it in writing. In my case I was told a figure by the top person, he told I'd get a call, which was a month later & when I went in to pick the items up they helped 3 other customers who came in after me then my items weren't ready so I had to wait some more & I was charged twice the amounts I was initially given... read more

What a joke. Let me get started. The first appointment they canceled five minutes before they were supposed to be there. The second appointment they canceled the night before. When they finally did show up to my house almost 3 weeks after the originally scheduled appointment he was there for all of 7 minutes and then up-charged me an additional $45 for programming that I didn't ask for. All in total 7 minutes cost me $180. Do not recommend this company! read more

Excellent same-day service at a low price. Very friendly staff, bird, and pups. Highly recommended.
