When we went there, there was a large private birthday party and they looked like they were having a great time. The restaurant is on the ground floor with a large bar and on a further open mezzanine level. Iroko has its roots in West Africa with wooden sculptures around the place to reflect this. I had the pepper soup to start which was packed full of roughly chopped lamb and spiced with chilli and peppers. I ordered the Iroko Seafood Skewers but there was a mix up with my order and an alternative was offered. I plumped instead for the Caesar salad which was fresh and tasty. My boyfriend had Suya to start which was a marinated rump steak served with tomatoes and onions and Jollof for his main dish, a rich, red spiced lamb curry served with fried, spiced red rice. All the way through the meal we had to put up with the most annoying door alarm that I can only describe as that of a rape alarm. Every time the door opened it screeched it's agonising cry announcing to all the arrive of the next guest.
