Went in with a gift card for two services that included the gratuity. Cut down the 90 minute massage to 60 seconds, and was told when checking out that the service bought had increased in pricing and due to that, the 30 minute massage would not be honored and that I owed $18 which included a 30% gratuity also. I did not enjoy and would never ever recommend you buy a gift card that states what service. As I had ZERO idea what was paid at the time of the gift card purchased, I was in no position to argue. I had had the gift card three years but when I had gone in there to schedule a date..their schedule was always full or I was not in state. The spa service was good, front desk and their protocol was not. I would also encourage the owners to place on their discount that gift cards amounts be listed to the service and that changes to the cost should be negotiated upon arrival. As a business owner myself, I cannot imagine selling a service that has been paid for and then the person takes a third of the service away and still has to pay. I scheduled an appointment online, actually two appointments, one for my eyebrows and one for a foot peel. The spa called the next day (as I made the appointment after they closed the day prior) and let me know that I could actually arrive just before my foot peel because I booked too much time in between services. I arrived and was greeted with an amazing smell, nice relaxing music and a friendly staff member. I filled out paperwork and the staff member showed me around. The space is extremely clean and very very well decorated. I waited a very short time in the relaxation area before Terry came to get me for my services. First we started with my eyebrows. Terry was extremely gentle and I almost fell asleep while she was tweezing my brows! She explained step by step of everything she was doing. Next she started my foot peel and covered all pertinent info with me. Lastly, Terry ended up checking me out and she provided her card in the event I had any questions or concerns. She gave fantastic service. Her touch and communication is definitely what I'm looking for when I visit any type of spa. Highly recommend!! read more

When you're excited about a Spa Day that you planned with your daughter for her bday, get there, and the Spa Coordinator scheduled the wrong service for me, and then they tell you they can't do the 2nd service bc of a minor protocol. I had to wait 3 hours for my daughter to be finished. SO glad it wasn't her services as its her bday. I've been a spa coordinator, and when a scheduling error occurs, I had to at least "attempt" to go the extra mile and call another technician if available. No one called me to confirm my services prior to coming in where this could have been avoided. In customer service, going the extra mile really matters. read more

Went in for a pedicure. Very different from the last time I was here. No more sitting above and putting your feet in a tub which was uncomfortable. Now you lay on a warm chair and they wrap your feet in warm towels. Very different but nice. Brittnee did a very nice pedicure. If you wish to speak, she will talk with you. If you just want to relax she will let you relax....and relax I did. I actually fell asleep for a few minutes. The place is very clean and everyone is nice and polite. As a long time spa member, I decided last minute to take advantage of an opening for a leg/foot massage. It was done in a private room, low light, a heated "recliner style" massage chair with a warm neck pillow, a knee pillow and an offered knitted blanket. I recently got a spa pedicure at Blessed Body Day Spa and, once again, I am sorry to say, it was not a pleasant experience at all. When I initially had a spa pedicure at this Salon several years ago, it was very enjoyable, with a comfortable chair and a large tub where my feet were soaked in. Unfortunately, they changed the set up of the room several times. I had tried to make a pedicure appointment over the course of several months, but each time they told me that unfortunably, they were not able to find someone to do the Pedicures. Finally, they apparently did hire someone, so I made my appointment and went in expecting this Pedicure to be as nice as my last time. Unfortunately, this was NOT the case! This time, there was NO relaxing chair, just a raised bed, where I was asked to sit in the middle of, and instructed not lean forward too much as I could fall off of it. The bed was very uncomfortable and there was no arm chairs to help support me. I was forced to sit upright, in a rigid, unpleasant position. And NO tub, but only a small tray pan where I was supposed to put my feet in. Despite this unpleasant experience, I did return again 3 months later as I really needed a Pedicure and was hoping the "scenario" had changed to how it used to be. No, it was the same scenario once again, that raised bed and the tray pan. I've been having Pedicures for the last 25 years, so I am acutely aware what constitutes a wonderful, enjoyable Pedicure. This whole experience was NOT comfortable at all, it was absolutely NOT relaxing or enjoyable, and while I have to say I do like some of the services they offer, I will NOT return to this Salon for their Pedicures, ever again! read more

Yesterday was my first visit to Blessed Body Day Spa. My aesthetician was welcomed there from another spa. Upon entering I had the opportunity to peruse the storefront and found they offer not only a variety of health and beauty items but also candles and jewelry from local vendors. Once I checked in I was brought to a comfortable waiting area. My aesthetician came in promptly and offered me a beverage while we caught up. The room used for my service was clean, private, and comfortable. Walking down the hall I noticed the manicure station was also private, having a semi sheet curtain as a door. There appeared to be at least three closed private rooms. The check out process was easy and I was made aware of the discount provided for prebooking. I came in hoping to book a bikini waxing appt. To begin, the front assistant was 100% professional and waited until there wasn't mixed company present before discussing the nature of the appt. It's the busy season so I knew I probably wouldn't be seen right away, however one of the estheticians offered to squeeze me in during a 30 min break she had between customers.
