However in this case we hired Aaron's appliance to repair a washing machine. He charged us $500 for a transmission and a agitator. 3 days after the repairs the washing machine broke. We called Aaron back for the repair and claimed now the clutch was bad and wanted more money. We brought in another repair technician to verify, who said we needed yet another transmission. We relayed this to Aaron, and his response was to try and find another vendor to help us. He offered no refund. Again I don't like to write these negative reviews against another small business. But small businesses ripping off other small businesses is just shameful. I'd think twice before hiring Aaron's appliance repair.

To diagnose the problem it took about 15 min max. Most of the work was already done as part of the diagnostic and all that needed to be done was to clip on the new igniter for the oven. I looked up the part and not even the OEM part was that high of a cost. I didn't quite see the value of the diagnosis or the quote. Once I declined the quote demeanor changed a bit. Didn't find the quote to be fair and I was not satisfied with the result. Now I gotta replace it myself, I'm not paying for another 15 min diagnosis. UPDATE: I replaced the igniter myself. Literally took me about 10 mins to replace. All I had to do was clip the new one in. A YouTube video saved me hundreds. Some of these repairmen overvalue their expertise I guess. Glad I didn't pay the outrageous price for such a simple job especially since I knew what the problem was be before the diagnosis.

I have a dryer vent that leads to the roof and the potential of a clogged vent is high, so he recommended I have my vent cleaned professionally every 2 years. I had this task on my to-do list but kept putting it off and it burned my heating unit. Totally preventable‍. As my mom said, "that's what you get"!
