Blenz Coffee is a Canadian coffee chain that is similar to Starbucks. They have plenty of locations in Vancouver. This one is at the corner of Granville and Nelson. It is a convenient location as it is in the middle of the Granville Entertainment District which is Vancouver's nightlife district. This location is not open 24 hours like the one located on Denman Street in the West End, but they are open later than most coffee shops. Midnight on weekdays and till 3 am on the weekends. The late hours on the weekends make it a good spot to sober up after a long night of fun. The storefront is not that big. It has a few sitting areas, but can't accommodate as many people as the two story Tim Hortons across the street. The menu is similar to the one at Starbucks, though I find the tea drink selection to be a bit better at Blenz. Grabbed a mango rooibos tea to go. I appreciate that they charge the same price for all sizes of hot tea. After all, the only difference is more water for a large. I will note that the tea comes in a bag rather than loose leaf though if that makes a difference. If you are looking for a coffee shop that is open late or looking to lick your wounds from a night of debauchery in the area, check out this Blenz.

Fine seating -- but the bathroom smells terrible!

I was glad to see this little coffee shop down the street from my hotel. What a treat! It love the decor -- wore in contemporary. It has a casual laid back feel with its window aimed bar seating, lazy chairs and mood lighting. On the radio is a lot of popular hits from all over the globe. That's nice. I am drawn to places that are global in nature. And such a mix of folks. But I am not sure if that's because it's conference season, or because Vancouver played Los Angeles tonight. Anyway, they have a nice assortment of cookies, brownie bars, sandwiches, vitamin water, juices and all sorts of other things. Try their peppermint tea -- yum! And late hours, thank goodness. I came back a second day -- in the morning. The latte is a little light, so if you like it strong ask for more ice or less milk. And their breakfast muffin was pretty tasty. Very nice comfortable space. I'm a fan!

Coffee pretty good. Pastries leave you desiring more. Customer service could be a lot better. Definitely not your neighborhood feel.

I had the Rooibos chai latte made with half sugar. Super glad that they were able to make this latte with less sugar as I find everything in North America a lot sweeter than in Australia. Interesting flavour to this latte. No caffeine in it so good for those sensitive to caffeine. TIP I'm a bit of a cheat and was able to use the wifi code outside all the blendz coffee shops for whenever I wanted to quickly look up a location or check my email. Thanks Blenz!I

The coffee is really good and the croissants are delicious! The prices are really good and the workers are so kind. When I visit Vancouver I'll definitely come back!

This used to be my local and favorite Blenz! Always friendly, despite the amount of strange people that walk in to use the restroom ;) Is a nice cozy place to sit with a creamy warm latte, and watch the characters walk by on Granville. Who needs to read the Metro when you can just look outside? The small latte is quite large, very creamy without being wishy washy (as my mum would say!). They have a large range of pastries, though I'll admit the rice krispies square was a little stale. I was saddened to see the front window smashed after the riots, but thankfully they had it fixed super quick. Recommended for a nice coffee, and good entertainment out the window ;)

I think it was one of those Cherry Blossom Food Festivals that brought this place to my attention…read moreabout a year or two ago. Been wanting to try it for awhile and now I finally have. We ordered the following: Tiramisu Latte Caprese Bite London Fog Apple Cookie Cherry Matcha Tonic Tiramisu Sea Salt Caramel Gelato The Cherry Matcha Tonic was pretty but wasn't too crazy about the flavor. I should have just gone with my original gut instinct and chosen a hot beverage like Hojicha Latte or something like that. I was sort of thirsting for something cooler for a change though, and the Cherry Matcha Tonic was the first "cool" drink that caught my eye so I decided to go for it. Won't do that again. Everything else was good though. The Sea Salt Caramel Gelato was the star of the show! In the store there's a sign beneath their gelato section that says "Canadian Gelato Champion". I believe it after tasting the Sea Salt Caramel! They had Nama Chocolates too. I was tempted to get some but...only so much a person's wallet and waistline can handle at one time. Will try the Nama Chocolate some other time. You can order in person here, or you can place an "Express" order at the Kiosk. We tried both ways of ordering. Ordered at the counter first and then after finished my Cherry Matcha Tonic decided I wanted to try the Sea Salt Gelato so then tried ordering that from the Kiosk. Most of the parking in this area is paid but I lucked out and got a free spot right around the corner from this place!

I could tell even from outside that it's a popular work and study type of coffee shop with your free wifi and outlets. I hope this post doesn't give it away and make it way too crowded for me to find a seat next time. There's a steady flow of people visiting the stores while I was there on a weekday between late afternoon and early evening but there's always extra seat for anyone new looking for a desk to work or chat with friends. A few could be better are the pricing and temperature. They offer free oat milk substitute and -$0.35 for bringing your own cup but no more employee discount. And it was so cold in there, I could see a lot of people kept their winter jackets on, I don't think it's a heating issue but the constant windy seems to suggest the AC is on rather than the heater, oh wells Im out of there now. For that reason, unless I'm bundled up, it'll be a hard sale to be back again! I got a hojicha latte and it as pretty good, perfect sweetness and temperature for my cold with no ice. The barista was super great to work with.

Insane Venezuelan Dulce de Leche Lattes…read more Starbucks Caramel Lattes can go take a walk. * * * Chocolate donuts with strawberry icing with massive huge strawberry taste in the icing. The only good frosted donut I have ever eaten with complete wonderment. (Actually, I have not had that many good donuts in over 72 years of donut eating. I am not sure how cops on break tolerate the average American or Canadian donut. But thank god, they eat them so I don't have to.) But I would eat donuts all day and all night at 49th Parallel. What a place!

Brownie points for convenience. My husband ordered a double espresso and in true men's fashion claimed it to be "solid". I ordered the maple sea salt shaken espresso and it was *chefs kiss*. If you are a sweet and salty lover, get it! It won't disappoint you. We also ordered the Doug sandwich and the Avo sandwich. Don't let the looks fool you as the sandwiches' appearances fall kind of short. However, both sandwiches were delicious. Starbucks could never. ‍ The Doug Sandwich - a full bodied sandwich consisting of scrambled eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and tarragon aioli. I thought this sandwich would be too heavy, but the brioche bun is light and the scrambled eggs are really fluffy. The Avo Sandwich - a lighter sandwich featuring fried egg, avocado, cheddar cheese, sun dried tomato pesto, tarragon aioli and mixed greens. Also a good choice! The cafe was clean and they have a water dispenser available for customers. Service was ok, but I think they were just a bit busy.
