My boyfriend and I were excited to try this place out and support a new business in the area. Unfortunately, my first experience didn't hit the mark and I will not be returning. The good: The store is open and very spacious. I like how they display and sell merch from another local small business. The bad: It was not busy when we arrived, just one couple sitting down eating their acai bowls. The dark-haired woman behind the bar didn't make eye contact or greet us. She appeared tired, bored, and did not give us a single smile. We awkwardly made our way to the counter to look at the menu. She did not look like she wanted to be there, as she looked at us blankly, probably expecting us to order immediately. Since it was our first time, we would have appreciated if she asked us if we were familiar with the menu, or even offer suggestions based on what we liked. I had a question about one of the bases and her tone in her response was bland. I thought she would have offered a small sample but she didn't (other comparable places have free samples). Her attitude was off-putting, but regardless, we decided to order. My boyfriend got a Peanut Butter Chocolate smoothie while I got a build your own acai bowl. After we ordered, more people started showing up and a line started to form. I was nervous as it seemed like the woman would have to tend to making orders and manning the register, but another man stepped from the back and started assisting with the orders. He was much more friendly which was a relief. He honestly made this review 2 stars vs 1 star. While the customer interaction wasn't great, we held hope in that perhaps they would be able to redeem themselves with the taste. Sadly, they were pretty mediocre. The smoothie was very banana heavy and barely tasted like peanut butter, which was disappointing. The acai bowl was just okay. Also, if you are taking acai bowls to go, their lids are very flimsy (thankfully the man warned us as he was packaging it up and offered to put some tape to help hold everything together). For extra security, I had my boyfriend make sure to hold it so it wouldn't topple over during the car ride home; if you are by yourself it may be more of an inconvenience. First impressions are everything and I'm saddened that this didn't live up to our expectations. I would recommend other establishments like Blenders, Berry Brand, Lazy Bird, and Blue Bowl as both quality and service have been consistently great. read more

Food was good, but the service was bare minimum. There were two people working, the cashiers vibes were off but the other girl was friendly.

The customer service with the 2 people working today wasn't good at all. No one greeted. The older lady cashier with the light brownish hair was rude with an attitude for no reason. She doesn't look happy to be there but she shouldn't treat customers like that. The girl in the black hair was just laughing with the cashier for whatever reason. My drink was also missing chia seeds in it. And the other drink Iced matcha latte didn't taste sweet at all my friend picked out with my order. Had a shot of vanilla with it but didn't taste like it. I had a few items that was made for pick up order for me and my friends that picked out the order online. Must of been rushed. But they tasted it once I brought the order back home to them. I ABSOLUTELY loved their different bases! They will let you taste test if you ask! Shoutout to the tropical blue base. So good!
