Brought our family visiting from out-of-state here for brunch and it surpassed our expectations. I'm going to keep it in mind when I need a spacious, cozy place with a ton of food and pastry options! I loved it and am thankful it recently opened. I made a reservation for a Saturday morning. It wasn't too loud either, so our toddler slept in his stroller the entire time. I got the tuna sandwich and I was raving about it the day after. It's a great portion and comes with avocado, a light salad, and two eggs. I also got a hot matcha latte and a muffin. It was all fantastic. I also shared a savory crepe with my husband with Munster cheese and spinach, and that was a great portion as well. Others in my party got the shakshuka, the power bowl, various salads, etc. The service was not great that day, though, so it's the only reason I can't give five stars. Once we were seated, absolutely no one paid any attention to us and we asked to place our order 3-4 different times. Waiters seemed confused and overwhelmed. Once we wanted to order pastries and pay our bill, we had no idea if we needed to do that at the counter or what? It was a bumpy ride. I ordered the Spicy Salmon Bowl, which has: rice, spicy mayo, avocado, shredded carrots, smoked salmon, etc. I was surprised when it came out with tan-ish chunks of flavorful lox. I thought the salmon was going be cooked. Perhaps my bad? Regardless, I really enjoyed the flavor and spice, even though it was super salty. The portions are really big. What a great addition to our little town ... the desert options are endless , from cheesecakes to tiramisu, to cookies and all the Greek pastries your heart desires ... every time I come here the service is spot on , so friendly and accommodating and the ambiance is great , they have board games and lots of modern decor you can look around and be entertained. Port Washington has had it's fair share of eateries come and go and Ble brings Greek pastries along with breakfast and brunch items for your selection. The space is wonderfully done and you can see their myriad of offerings in brightly lit cases. In terms of food, it's just so-so. The breakfast bowl with quinoa was bland due to the fact that they didn't drain the quinoa properly and it was basically a soup on the bottom of the bowl. Ham and cheese crepe was a bit overstuffed but otherwise good. Desserts were a bit better. Service here was very good. Prices are fair but the food is uneven. I'd probably stick to the pastries here but the space is lovely to grab a bite if you're in the area. read more

And the cashier who served me was very sweet Cheese pie: - this was excellent Matcha Tea Latte: - I came here for a matcha tea latte specifically and .. if you're an avid drinker of real matcha (don't get it here. Although I should have known better) it tasted like sugary milk and of course the color of matcha tea latte even WITH milk should be extremely green and NOT muddy. It was so bad I threw it out. As you can see it wasn't even properly mixed at the bottom. I feel like if you're going to serve it on your menu you should learn how to properly make it (and use real ceremonial grade matcha) or don't offer it. I have to say that I'm shocked by the less than five star reviews. This is by far my favorite café on Long Island. In fact, I don't know where you can go to get better coffee. I really enjoy their Greek twist on things. I've been there twice already and have loved my experience both times. I do wish there was more comfortable seating for the people who don't want the dining experience. Other than that I very pleased with my experience and look forward to more visits. Before I even entered I knew I was gonna love the place with the giant dog water bowl outside "for their four-legged friends"! Upon entering I was stunned by rows and rows of bakery items and a full menu for coffee & tea. The service was phenomenal and the food & tea is excellent. Had coffee & tea early in the morning with a friend: fabulous tea service and cappuccino was just right. Went back later with my son--he LOVED their chicken club sandwich. What's not to love? It was a generous portion. Plenty of chicken and amazing sauce on the side and FRESH french fries. Service was more than attentive. The waitress was lovely and when I looked up for a moment just to take in the beautiful space, a male server stepped over to see if I needed anything. Asked me if I needed lemon or honey with the tea-- that impressed me. Usually you have to ask for everything. Also lovely attention to details with the choice of dishes and cutlery and variety of cups for drinks. Lots of options for pastries as well. Will go back again this weekend for sure! My family has frequented Ble Bakery for months, but we won't be returning. While we love the ambiance, the food and service leave much to be desired. Service: The team simply can't get its act together. Sometimes there is no one to seat us. We expect at least one error with each order. On our last trip, our server made numerous errors and then asked for a tip in cash. Food: on the new menu, I tried a ~$20 dish that was supposed to feature sausage. I was hilariously stunned when the dish showed up with CUT UP HOT DOGS. What a joke. We've lost confidence that the manager and his team can get their act together. We will be frequenting Schmear, the Port Diner, and Diane's bakery instead. read more

I wanted to love Ble but I can't. Don't get me wrong, it is not bad, specially because the store is beautiful. The coffee is good as well. My problem is with the bakery items. The strawberry tres leches was forgettable and the bread was too stale to eat. I had to add water and put it in the oven to make it softer. I would expect that from a second day bread, but this one was fresh. Im totally hoping they improve becase it has so much potential!!! read more

Service-wise, I would be more lenient since they are still new. The server didn't know about the items on menu. Rang me up incorrectly with something doubled the price. Glad that I looked at the amount before tapping OK on the register. Food was not good. Had crepe for dine-in. It tasted like steak fajita put inside a thick crepe. Lemonade was just artificial sugary and no lemon flavor. Had sandwich for grab-and-go. The bread was tough and dry, could possibly be stale from previous day. The cold cut wasn't impressive, so was the sun dried tomatoes. The two stars came from the cold brew coffee and nicely renovated space. That's all to it. Nice to just chill. Walked in and the there were two people at one table and one at another... that's all but no servers to be seen... 3 staff behind the bakery counter schmoozing with a customer... no one acknowledges me even though I'm clearly looking around for someone... I notice someone in a corner and they say I can sit anywhere and then I wait and wait and wait...no one come to the table. I go over to speak to someone behind the counter and they say they'll get someone. I wait some more... finally someone comes over. "I was on my break", she says... sounds like a her problem, not a me problem. Took my order (an omelette) and it was received pretty quickly but COLD! Taste was "meh". Our first experience was about a month ago. It was a mixed bag. Good food but not so good service. We figured it happens. Decided to give it a second chance. Probably one of the worst brunch experiences we have had in a long time. Our server seemed generally unenthusiastic about everything. I wanted a chocolate chip muffin. They have a few different kinds. I actually walked with the server to the counter to show which one. 20 mins later, she had forgotten. Oh well. I wanted coffee. Server got me one. I asked for milk. Again, it got lost in the shuffle. Cherry on top- the server literally spilled an entire cup of milk on our two year old. Just glad it wasn't hot coffee. He did apologize. But, apparently, either he told the cleaning staff that our son had spilled it or they assumed. They all looked annoyed while cleaning. Color me puzzled. Eventually, my wife told them and they apologized. This is one of those places that has decent food. But, the staff leaves a lot to be desired. Wed morning before Thanksgiving, a max of 5 customers in the place - waiters chatting in the back, no one came to take our order as busy chatting to each other, had to get up and get the waiter to come to our table. My eggs Benedict were served cold - all of it: the eggs, the sauce, the ham, the whole thing was cold. Cold eggs suck. Sent it back to warm up, it came back somewhat warmer, still not warm eggs though. Honestly a very disappointing place. What a great addition to our community! Beautiful inside. Baked goods displayed impeccably. On their first day plenty of staff which is hard to come by. Greek owned! Baklava on point. Had the blueberry pound cake. Outstanding. We loved it so much we ended up back there hours later to try lunch. Lunch was not so great. Sandwiches were $20 and not much to it or that tasty. The bread was too soggy for me to eat it that way as well. So $42 for 2 subpar sandwiches I'll stick to the deli. Went for the first time last Saturday. Very nice ambiance. The interior is well lit and aesthetically pleasing. I had the burger, ordered medium. Came out cooked perfectly. The party was well seasoned and the burger overall was excellent. French fries were pretty good. The soda portions are very small but they do come in glass bottles which I prefer. Space looks great though it would be nice if there was a definitive front entrance as there are 3 doors and you don't know which one to actually enter from. Upon entering it's a bit confusing, i know you can dine in, but there's no host or menu that I saw, am I supposed to order at the counter and seat myself? Don't know. Center displays are a bit odd as the person working there has to go around to get the pastries for you and seem to be too easily opened by patrons. Delicious cappuccinos had them on 2 different occasions decaf and caffeinated. There is a pastry for everyone in this place and we tried 4 different ones, all delicious.
