Super clean and neatly organized. Service was weird. There was a bunch of people but no one was really doing anything. Took longer than it should have. Seemed like the people did not really understand English well. Very cold, sterile vibe. The exact opposite of warm and welcoming. It was weirdly completely empty at 6 pm on a Wed evening. Was excited to try the tenders, I got them no heat with a side of fries and coleslaw. Fries had good flavor but were soggy and greasy. Chicken tenders were so greasy there was a puddle at the bottom of the to go box. The chicken was delish! Perfectly moist and cooked well. The outside breading just tasted of grease, it was pretty nasty. Had to throw most of the food away.the cole slaw it had kale and purple cabbage, lightly dressed. Not so happy, I am dining in, my fries weren't even hot, they feel like they have been sitting 7-8 minutes out the fryer. The chicken in my sandwich is not moist and it's kinda crunchy and hard. But anyways I went with the Morning Bird because who doesn't want cheese and an egg added to a hot chicken sandwich?! Come on, sounded amazing! And though my heat tolerance is probably a little better than most I never just go right out and order the hottest because I am a baby haha so I started with extra hot. And you would be crazy to get a chicken sandwich and not get fried pickles on the side right? Right! Sandwich was good, surprising for take out fried food still crispy and delicious. I will say ... the extra hot was more like a hot? Definitely wasn't sweeting or mouth on fire or anything like that? Maybe they accidentally sent me someone's medium? Idk. I can honestly tell you I will be going in to the restaurant for the full experience ans I will be getting the blazing to see if it's a bit spicer. That being said I still really enjoyed the sandwich and would totally go back again. I've been here twice and came back only because i hadn't remembered what the food was like... makes sense why. Sandwich was okay within the first couple of bites but after a little it started to taste gross. The actual tender tasted like they just grabbed it from the freezer and threw it in the fryer for a few seconds. Nothing tasted "bad" it was just very low quality and unsatisfying. Loved the food, it was very tasty and lots of spice options ranging from no spice to burn your pants off spice. What was even better than the food was the service, it seems every time I come in I am greeted with a smile and asked how I am doing. The restaurant portion is also very nice if you like to sit down, there is lots of space with clean tables and usually it's not busy so you could hold a conversation in there. Same issue when I came to ask for a to-go container. Had to try to grab one myself from the stack above the divider wall. Lots of employees were sitting on boxes in the kitchen by the door just talking. The food took a very long time to come out even though we were the only customers in the whole restaurant. On this visit we were pretty disappointed. The rub or batter on the chicken was wayyyy too salty to the point of being almost inedible. I ordered the number 2 medium hot which is supposed to have an egg on top and it was... and on the side and had run into the styrofoam serving tray. There is no wrap on the sandwich so I asked for a paper tray liner and used that to pick the soggy sandwich up. The bun was not soft and didn't taste fresh. Been here twice, on grand opening day and yesterday. What a gem!!! I really enjoyed number 1, The Bird. I got it in hot heat level and it was just perfect. I had a bit of a burn for 5-10 minutes but that's exactly what i wanted. I also tried their fries and I do like them, just don't let them sit for a long time. I wanted to love this place. I couldn't wait for it to open. I did love how clean it was. I also love the simple decor. I am disappointed by the staff. To be working in a restaurant during the pandemic means you have to wear a mask when handling other people's good. Period. We all hate it but its what needs to be done right now. I was very disappointed in this. I was also disappointed that for almost $9, you only get a sandwich and not a meal like advertised on their menu. The sandwich was dry and didn't have much flavor. It wasn't very hot at all. The fried pickles were super soggy. The batter didn't stay on them so you couldn't get the flavor of the cornmeal or the crunch from the pickle. Overall I was very disappointed with this place. I wanted to give one star but I know they see new. I'm going to give them a lot of time to make their place better. Going into a new restaurant is always an exciting yet apprehensive experience for me. Is my money going to be well spent? When you enter you immediately notice how clean the place is. It has a cool vibe with music playing. The food is awesome. I haven't had anything like it. The number one chicken sandwich is terrific. I ordered it mild but it still had a dry rub on a fried breast. The sauce was just the right flavor and tied it all together wonderfully. Yes, pseudo fast food-ish but delicious. I also have been addicted to Nashville Hot Chicken since I was introduced to it. I got myself a sandwich with just chicken, ordered extra hot, and their sauce. The split, flattened and fried chicken breast had been decently cooked, and had been dusted with a small amount of cayenne to make it "extra hot", which is pretty standard for spice tolerance in Colorado. But it being "ok" is about all I could say for it. It wasn't hot, oily, and flavorful like I imagine Nashville Hot Chicken. But it was an ok, fast, fried chicken sandwich.
