Happy to update my review here. Back to 5 stars for me. I really like Blaze and the unlimited options you have. Pizza tastes great, many toppings to choose from. Everything is fresh and fast. Great place to grab and go or sit and enjoy. My last review I was comparing this location to others around as far as price. I am happy to say, their pricing is now in line with the other locations locally. Not sure what was going on before, but happy this is the case as this location is the closest to me and nice to know I can get the same deals and pricing here. Recommend you check out Blaze if you have not been, great food, great service, very nice staff. One thing that could be improved is how you earn points. You have to use the CC on file to get points I believe and if you pay with a GC, you don't get any points, which not sure why. But a takeaway maybe they can fix. Other than that great spot. This place is located outside the Northridge Mall, near the corner of Nordhoff and Tampa Boulevard in Northridge, Ca. It is literally attached to the Dick's Sporting Goods store and faces across the parking lot from Ashley Furniture. I love Blaze Pizza. I think I like it more than Domino's and Pizza Hut put together! Here, you get to build your own pizza and decide what toppings you want and how much or how little you want, depending on your preference. I thought there was no limit, but apparently there is. I was just never told about it. The amount they usually put on for me is more than enough, though. For my pizza, I got Alfredo sauce because, unfortunately, I can't have tomato sauce. I also got sausage, chicken, green peppers, black olives, and these other olives that are kind of a purplish color. When you walk in, you tell them what you want, and they put it together for you. After you pay, they put it in the oven, and it comes out within about 7 to 10 minutes. I really like it here, and they also have a soda fountain, so if you get a drink, you can choose whatever you want. My wife also likes it here. What she got on her pizza is beyond me because she gets so many different toppings that I didn't have time to memorize them! My boys share a mini personal peppeoni pizza that comes with a cookie and a kids' drink. The service here is always pretty good, so I have no real complaints there. The only thing this time was that the manager mentioned there is a limit on the amount of cheese you can get up to three times the normal amount. Kind of weird that I know that now, but I guess you learn something new every day! It didn't bother me much, though. Getting double the normal amount of cheese was more than enough for my pizza. I like my pizza nice and cheesy! The restaurant has a family friendly, sit down atmosphere with plenty of tables and chairs, as well as some outdoor seating on the patio. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has a craving for building their own pizza. I will 100% be back again. Did I mention I love this place? read more

I always have a great experience at Blaze Pizza in Northridge! Ashley took my order and was very friendly. They had temporarily run out of lettuce for my Caesar salad, but the staff was in the process of chopping more. I was actually impressed to learn that they use fresh lettuce rather than prepackaged, bagged lettuce. Kudos to them for using fresh ingredients! She listened to everything I asked for. I didn't need dark green lettuce, cause there was a bunch at the top and I wanted a little bit of extra cheese. I was definitely disappointed to hear that the meatballs are no longer on the menu. Ashley said customers ask about them all the time, even though they apparently weren't a big seller when Blaze carried them. They were one of my favorite things on the menu! If Blaze ever brings them back, don't sleep on them--you have to try them! After my pizza went into the oven, I chose a table and then went back up front to wait for my salad - they call your name once your order is ready, but I didn't mind standing up there since I asked for a couple of things to be done to myself.. Carlos appeared to be preparing a phone order and was carefully brushing the crust of half a pizza. I told him it was like Art because he was paying so much attention to every detail! The franchise owner was also there, and I loved seeing how involved he was. He was interacting with the staff, and everyone was smiling. He even picked up a broom and started sweeping, straightened the tables, and spoke with customers. I have always told my own staff that I would never ask them to do something I wouldn't do myself. I truly believe that kind of leadership is what helps create a successful business and a happy team. Good for you for running this Blaze Pizza location the way you do! I Love pizza's, love Cesar salad's , love ice cold beer. This location at the Northridge fashion center has a nice covered outdoor patio with TVs. Stopped by Blaze for Pi Day for their special buy one get one $3.14 deal! Thankfully was arrived a bit early for dinner as there was already a line forming and which only got longer. We got the build your own pizza which you can customize to your heart's desire! I got 2 pizzas with red sauce with garlic pesto around the rim (yum!) with mozzarella + feta cheese, with a variety of meat and veggie toppings. You can even add finishes once the pizza is done baking, and I went with the sweet hot honey drizzle which added a nice sweet and spicy flavor. The pizzas taste soo good straight out the oven! If you can't finish they have full and half boxes to take your pizza to-go. The service itself was okay, I think since it was such a busy day the workers were all a bit stressed. The trash cans were also overflowing. On the plus side there's some indoor and hybrid patio seating and plenty of parking in the plaza/mall parking garages. read more

So i started choosing the toppings and in my case I was told that there is a limit of "7" toppings for build your own, so i said ah ok, so i chose my 7 toppings. When my pizza was ready, that was the only time i notice their board, saying "any toppings, all one price"!! wtf!! what's going on in here??you effing need to change your board to just "7 toppings allowed"! and stop fooling your customers!!! On the edge exterior of the mall of Northridge is where I found this small pocket of deliciousness. The seating is ample as you can see in the photos and the ingredients are fresh and freshly made. I got the new Marvel pizza and a custom, with a side of garlic/pesto bread. It was delicious and the hot honey drizzle was drizzling! I would recommend it since it doesn't have a lot of noise, the seating selection is great, the customer service is top tier and its fresh. Nothing beats pizza made with love! 8/10. This was my first time going to Blaze Pizza. Upon arriving, I was warmly greeted by the staff. The restaurant was clean, and very spacious. They offer both outdoor and indoor seating. The atmosphere is very casual, and laid back. I ordered three kinds of build-your-own pizzas. Blaze Pizza is known for fast-fired pizzas with fresh toppings, and it clearly shows. All three pizzas were cooked to perfection, and were absolutely delicious! They also offer speciality pizzas, salads, cheesy bread and other options. Overall, I had a very good experience! I am incredibly frustrated with the service at this location. I ordered a custom 11-inch pizza for pickup, and the kitchen completely ignored the order ticket, which resulted in a severe dietary/health issue for me. First, I explicitly omitted onions from my order due to a bad reaction/dietary restriction. Instead, the pizza was covered in red onions. On top of completely disregarding that, they missed multiple toppings I actually paid for: no meatballs, no Italian sausage, and no banana peppers were anywhere to be found on the pizza. This is an unacceptable lack of attention to detail and a major food safety hazard. If a customer customizes an order to avoid an ingredient, the staff needs to read the ticket. Blaze Pizza - 7/10 I really love the concept here. Being able to fully customize your pizza and add as many toppings as you want is such a cool idea, and Blaze definitely makes it easy to try endless variations. The build-your-own style is fun, quick, and great if you like control over every detail. That said, no matter how many combinations I've tried, the pizzas just don't quite stand out compared to other spots where I can get a personal pie for around the same price. It's good, fresh, and satisfying enough, but it never really hits that "wow" factor for me. Overall, Blaze is a solid option if you're in the mood for something quick and customizable. Definitely worth trying once, but for me, it's not a top contender in the pizza world. read more

I am mainly focusing on customer service and friendliness. Seems like Blaze locations are shutting down left and right. My home base locations both Oxnard and Ventura have closed. I came here today (Sat 6/28) as it's the nearest one to Ventura County. The interior is extremely spacious with extra high ceilings. When you first enter, there is a pseudo patio room (but fully enclosed) and then the usual industrial style main dining area. When I went to the counter, the young woman did not say a word. She basically was putting stickers on parchment papers, so she was busy but she did not acknowledge me or the party behind me for at least 3-4 full minutes (I am NOT exaggerating). She never looked up. I was uncomfortable, so I said "hello" loudly. She immediately did ask what did I want to order. After she rung up my order and transaction, she just walked away. This is not outright rude, she did her job fine, BUT it just feels sooo uncomfortable. This may be the new Gen Z vibe, or I was seriously thinking she may be neurodivergent/ autistic and uncomfortable with social communication. I did see the other younger woman was more typical customer service, she smiled at customers. I think all 3 workers were high school or young college students. Maybe shifts would benefit from more experienced shift managers but maybe that is not priority for Blaze. Seems like it's hard to keep locations open anymore. Maybe training and keeping qualified staff, labor are a big reason. read more

Honestly can't complain. This is the only build-your-own pizza place that I know of near me and it's the best. I order ahead on the app since I get points and it's so worth it. Their pesto sauce and artichoke combo is sooo good, I'm always craving it. They are always super fast and kind when we pick up. The inside is cute, it has a lot of seating including a covered patio to eat "outside" that I love. PIZZA!! Can't remember the last time I went to a blaze pizza. I know for a fact it was back home. Maybe 5 years ago or more. Anyhow to my surprise I visited again. Upon entering I noted this place was big. Nicely spacious for its location. ( next to the mall) I was greeted by their staff members. And quickly started to order my pizza. BYOP! Everything was great. I will say it took a minute to get my pizza. But it was okay. I was somewhat pressed for time. Nonetheless, I enjoyed every bite! Gluten free crust is awesome! I usually do curbside at this location, however, this was a deal for pickup only. I placed my order through the app and went inside to pick it up when it was ready. The pizza was delicious with all ingredients, which is what they always use. The inside is always super busy, which should tell you something. They're amazing and have a very good product! Armando had great energy, very welcoming, and was insightful on what's good to add on pizzas. My boyfriend and I had an enjoyable experience just waiting for our food to be ready. He even offered pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese packets which I never get asked every time I go to Blaze so I really appreciated that. I ordered through DoorDash at 5:44. Pick up time was 6:14. I showed up at 6:10. I waited til 6:20. I confirmed my order was NOT ready, and they said they'll let me know. I waited til 6:45 and checked. There's my order sitting there collecting dust, and my DoorDash app still tells me they're preparing my dinner. Seriously! They had 2 methods to notify me it was ready - verbally or through the app. Even a fifth grader can do that! I'm not wasting my time with their services ever again! read more

Tip: You can dine in or do take out Like the other links in this chain I've visited, here you wait in line until you can tell your personal pizza maker the specifications for your pizza. They've got a pretty comprehensive list of meat and vegetable toppings to choose from :-) Everything they do here is made to order; they don't pre-make anything, with even the dough waiting to be pulled into shape. I used to visit the topanga mall location and I never had any issues. This Northridge locations staff need to know how to use their customer service. The food is fine but my issue is with the people who work at this location. Their supposed "shift manager" shouldn't be one for being lazy to refill the ice machine. All of a sudden when it runs out he wants to say it's "out of service". The ambiance needs to improve. If you visit this location be prepared to face some kind of problem. Please tell your staff to be more kind and not LAZY!!!! read more

I normally love Blaze as I make a delicious pizza. I came at 3-4pm on a Monday and the place was not busy. Yet the employee made my pizza haphazardly. He barely put cheese on it and when I asked for more to cover the edges he said "it's going to spread out". No, not if you don't put enough cheese! Then when he cut it off center with one side with tiny slices and one with large slices. I guess if my toddler was there I would have liked it. If the place had been busy, I would have let it slide but really? The guy does not seem to care about the job he does. The place itself is nice, new and clean with a covered patio. I will likely be back and hope to get better service next time! I prefer the Blaze at Topanga Mall as they have better service. read more

Was better than I thought it would be. I expected the crust to be a little crunchier though, but we were able to crunch it up quickly in the toaster oven. In general, I don't think Delivery pizza travels well, as in the facility itself right out of the oven, it was delicious. We'll definitely go here again and After we ordered, the delivery service was fast and efficient. read more

Love this place. Love that it's easily accessible in the Northridge mall. You don't have to be in the mall to get there. And it's an area that generally doesn't have a lot of parking issues. Easy parking. I love that it's thin crust and personalized to your exact preference. You can be as greedy as you want with the toppings and no one will judge you. I only recommend asking them to make it "well done" if you do that. The pizza can get soggy if you pile a billion topping on it, like I do I'm vegetarian and you have no idea how grateful I am that they have soy chorizo! I'm sooo happy with the past two experiences we've had at this Northridge location! The first time was through ordering with the app and pickup. The 7 pizzas were ready when it said it was going to be, the pizzas were placed in a warmer so that they were ready for pickup, and the staff was friendly and all smiles (under their masks anyway) which was greatly appreciated. The second time was when we dined in. They were just as friendly and all smiles. The three pizzas we ate were made SO well! They were delicious and we enjoyed our time there. The outdoor seating is completely covered. Both inside and outside seating were clean. Surprisingly, their s'more cookie (make sure to have it warmed) was delicious!!! Thanks again, guys!
