Stopped by Blaze for Pi Day for their special buy one get one $3.14 deal! Thankfully was arrived a bit early for dinner as there was already a line forming and which only got longer. We got the build your own pizza which you can customize to your heart's desire! I got 2 pizzas with red sauce with garlic pesto around the rim (yum!) with mozzarella + feta cheese, with a variety of meat and veggie toppings. You can even add finishes once the pizza is done baking, and I went with the sweet hot honey drizzle which added a nice sweet and spicy flavor. The pizzas taste soo good straight out the oven! If you can't finish they have full and half boxes to take your pizza to-go. The service itself was okay, I think since it was such a busy day the workers were all a bit stressed. I am incredibly frustrated with the service at this location. I ordered a custom 11-inch pizza for pickup, and the kitchen completely ignored the order ticket, which resulted in a severe dietary/health issue for me. First, I explicitly omitted onions from my order due to a bad reaction/dietary restriction. Instead, the pizza was covered in red onions. On top of completely disregarding that, they missed multiple toppings I actually paid for: no meatballs, no Italian sausage, and no banana peppers were anywhere to be found on the pizza. This is an unacceptable lack of attention to detail and a major food safety hazard. If a customer customizes an order to avoid an ingredient, the staff needs to read the ticket. Blaze Pizza - 7/10 I really love the concept here. Being able to fully customize your pizza and add as many toppings as you want is such a cool idea, and Blaze definitely makes it easy to try endless variations. The build-your-own style is fun, quick, and great if you like control over every detail. That said, no matter how many combinations I've tried, the pizzas just don't quite stand out compared to other spots where I can get a personal pie for around the same price. It's good, fresh, and satisfying enough, but it never really hits that "wow" factor for me. Overall, Blaze is a solid option if you're in the mood for something quick and customizable. I am mainly focusing on customer service and friendliness. Seems like Blaze locations are shutting down left and right. My home base locations both Oxnard and Ventura have closed. I came here today (Sat 6/28) as it's the nearest one to Ventura County. The interior is extremely spacious with extra high ceilings. When you first enter, there is a pseudo patio room (but fully enclosed) and then the usual industrial style main dining area. When I went to the counter, the young woman did not say a word. She basically was putting stickers on parchment papers, so she was busy but she did not acknowledge me or the party behind me for at least 3-4 full minutes (I am NOT exaggerating). She never looked up. I was uncomfortable, so I said "hello" loudly. She immediately did ask what did I want to order. After she rung up my order and transaction, she just walked away. This is not outright rude, she did her job fine, BUT it just feels sooo uncomfortable. This may be the new Gen Z vibe, or I was seriously thinking she may be neurodivergent/ autistic and uncomfortable with social communication. I did see the other younger woman was more typical customer service, she smiled at customers. I think all 3 workers were high school or young college students. Maybe shifts would benefit from more experienced shift managers but maybe that is not priority for Blaze. Seems like it's hard to keep locations open anymore. Maybe training and keeping qualified staff, labor are a big reason. read more

Honestly can't complain. This is the only build-your-own pizza place that I know of near me and it's the best. I order ahead on the app since I get points and it's so worth it. Their pesto sauce and artichoke combo is sooo good, I'm always craving it. They are always super fast and kind when we pick up. The inside is cute, it has a lot of seating including a covered patio to eat "outside" that I love. It's connected to the Northridge mall which is also nice to shop around and then get food! read more

On the edge exterior of the mall of Northridge is where I found this small pocket of deliciousness. The seating is ample as you can see in the photos and the ingredients are fresh and freshly made. I got the new Marvel pizza and a custom, with a side of garlic/pesto bread. It was delicious and the hot honey drizzle was drizzling! I would recommend it since it doesn't have a lot of noise, the seating selection is great, the customer service is top tier and its fresh. Nothing beats pizza made with love! 8/10. Updating my review on this location. I love Blaze and go to various locations often. I always buy the gift cards from Costco where you can get $100 for $80, pretty good deal. Anyway, to the review. The pizza here is very good, love the make BYO options and variety of toppings, no issue there, love it. The decor here is the same as most with slight variations of wall murals, etc. lots of seating and this location has an indoor/outdoor patio area that is pretty cool. Now to the service and pricing at this specific location. Service today seemed off, employees were not that friendly as they have been in the past, seemed like a bother when I asked questions. Also, this location seems to be more expensive than most of the other locations around, as much as $3-4 more for the same items at other locations, not a fan of the higher pricing. Their digital deal for example of the BFF combo at this location is $29, at all other locations I have been to for the exact same thing is $26, that is almost 12% more for the exact same thing you would get at any other location. Seems excessive to me. The digital deal for a 1 topping and a drink here is $12.99, at Topanga it is $9.75, that is a 25% price increase on that deal, why? Still love Blaze and will still go, but pricing here makes me go to other locations when convenient. Topanga is not that far away to save 25%. Enjoy! read more

PIZZA!! Can't remember the last time I went to a blaze pizza. I know for a fact it was back home. Maybe 5 years ago or more. Anyhow to my surprise I visited again. Upon entering I noted this place was big. Nicely spacious for its location. ( next to the mall) I was greeted by their staff members. And quickly started to order my pizza. BYOP! Everything was great. I will say it took a minute to get my pizza. But it was okay. I was somewhat pressed for time. Nonetheless, I enjoyed every bite! Gluten free crust is awesome! I usually do curbside at this location, however, this was a deal for pickup only. I placed my order through the app and went inside to pick it up when it was ready. The pizza was delicious with all ingredients, which is what they always use. The inside is always super busy, which should tell you something. They're amazing and have a very good product! I was sad to learn that their sister location in Woodland Hills closed down permanently so I took it upon myself to try the Northridge location. Ambiance was great! I used to visit the topanga mall location and I never had any issues. This Northridge locations staff need to know how to use their customer service. The food is fine but my issue is with the people who work at this location. Their supposed "shift manager" shouldn't be one for being lazy to refill the ice machine. All of a sudden when it runs out he wants to say it's "out of service". The ambiance needs to improve. If you visit this location be prepared to face some kind of problem. Please tell your staff to be more kind and not LAZY!!!! read more

Tip: You can dine in or do take out Like the other links in this chain I've visited, here you wait in line until you can tell your personal pizza maker the specifications for your pizza. They've got a pretty comprehensive list of meat and vegetable toppings to choose from :-) Everything they do here is made to order; they don't pre-make anything, with even the dough waiting to be pulled into shape. In general, I don't think Delivery pizza travels well, as in the facility itself right out of the oven, it was delicious. Love this place. Love that it's easily accessible in the Northridge mall. You don't have to be in the mall to get there. And it's an area that generally doesn't have a lot of parking issues. Easy parking. I love that it's thin crust and personalized to your exact preference. You can be as greedy as you want with the toppings and no one will judge you. I only recommend asking them to make it "well done" if you do that. The pizza can get soggy if you pile a billion topping on it, like I do I'm vegetarian and you have no idea how grateful I am that they have soy chorizo! I normally love Blaze as I make a delicious pizza. I came at 3-4pm on a Monday and the place was not busy. Yet the employee made my pizza haphazardly. He barely put cheese on it and when I asked for more to cover the edges he said "it's going to spread out". No, not if you don't put enough cheese! Then when he cut it off center with one side with tiny slices and one with large slices. I guess if my toddler was there I would have liked it. If the place had been busy, I would have let it slide but really? The guy does not seem to care about the job he does. The place itself is nice, new and clean with a covered patio. I will likely be back and hope to get better service next time! I prefer the Blaze at Topanga Mall as they have better service. read more

I ordered on the app and got there a few minutes early when I walked up to the cashier he said it would be ready in two minutes I sat down directly in front of them and they were calling everybody's name but 10 minutes went by and they still hadn't called my name so I went up to the cashier and she said "it's been ready it's right here." I said "no one ever called my name." She said "oh I didnt know you where in here." That made no sense they literally just saw me come in and ask and then proceeded to no call my name when I'm sitting right there it felt like a petty power play or something it was super unprofessional. And I was also in my brake from work so I wasted my whole brake waiting for them to call me name and they never did and the app never notified me that my order was ready.
