When I made the amount, the medical assistant on the phone told me that when I arrive for the appt., park the car, stay in the car and call the office so they know you have arrived & have your phone number. The medical assistant called back after 10 minutes and told me that I could go to the office. There were 3 chairs outside Dr. Layne's office. The chairs were socially distance from one another. The assistant came out of the office & told me to sign in & then she took my temperature which was 98.6. I return to my chair. The wait was about 20 minutes and I was called to go into the examination room followed by Dr. Layne. She wrote down the required information that I gave her. I was weighed & examined by the doctor. She told me that I had irritable bowl syndrome & that I was to keep a 6 week dairy of everything that I ate. She told me the food & beverages that I could not eat or drink. Dr. Layne sent me up to the Northwell Labs for blood work. I was relieved that I finally had taken action & I was in the hands of Dr. Layne who was calm and I definitely feel that both she and I will put an end to my misery.

And with his help, I finally quit smoking after more than 50 years of being a smoker. His staff is great -- the front desk people are somewhat quiet/reserved in style but they are totally professional and helpful any time I call for something or go in for an appointment. And the two Nurse Practitioners -- Sarah and Chenelle - are absolutely wonderful and thorough in their examinations. Dr. Last is an old-time physician -- the kind who spends the time to get to know his patients and listen to them. The world needs more like him.

I had to spend $4,000 to have fat removed from my butt because it had been moved to put in the hip. The hip was fine so I couldn't sue for malpractice. I tried communicating with the lead doctor to see if they could reimburse at least half of what I spent with no response. I looked deformed. I have a 7" scar that is about 1" wide. When I hear from other women that they have small imperceptible scar and I see that their profile is symmetrical I'm triggered. The other docs & PA's may be fine but I would go elsewhere for a hip replacement.

Anyway again as I'm now prone to getting calcium deposits, they have a technical name but I just call them that lol. I started with one in my right elbow, then 2 in my left elbow, doing an MRI after the 2nd time since that's the time to do an MRI after it pops up twice in the same spot. Anyway it's more common in the shoulder and I joked that'll be next. Skip ahead months later and bam shoulder is killing me. I get a massage, still pain, realized it was probably one of those pesky little deposits and ran over here. I was seen right away, and got a nice shot after confirming yup calcium deposit. I will probably end up getting an MRI in the future just to check as I did with my elbow but it's nice for the time being to be out of pain and able to enjoy my weekend. Getting a shot is not fun btw, it gave me a nice anxiety spike the next day and some anger mixed with my wacky hormones lol. But at least I can sleep peacefully and able to use my arm so hey I'll deal with it. I was in and out. I came here hoping for right away care, a solution and I got it. Much better experience this time around, compared to saying hey go somewhere else right before the holidays knowing I wouldn't get in anywhere that quickly years ago. So now I'd recommend this place or maybe the dr this time was just better and since I haven't had any injuries I most likely have no real actual damage to omg need an MRI. It's just a common thing that happens to happen to me lol. Some are prone to these things and I'm sure they'll pop up again one day. I'm hoping I never need a shot again or need to come here at least for a few years. I'll for sure be sending anyone I know to come here if anyone I know gets hurt. I'd highly recommend if you need a walk in place. I mean most specialty doctors can't even see you for weeks so it's nice we even have a place like this.

Despite confirming my appointments promptly via SMS, I continue to receive redundant text reminders and repeated follow-up phone calls asking for confirmation. The lack of coordination in their scheduling system takes away from an otherwise high standard of care. I sincerely hope management addresses these administrative bottlenecks soon. If these communication issues are not resolved by the end of the year, I will unfortunately have to look for another practice for my ongoing care."

I had seen them previously before they moved into this group and I did like them very much. But this office is under completely different management. I have been a medical office manager, my whole adult life and the lack of communication and the lack of experience of the front desk is noticeable. I have had three maybe four appointments in this location and each time they ask me if I'm new and each time they tell me that my Medicare card is not valid. So while I do like the doctors, I am leaving this practice due to the problems with the front desk.
