When I booked the room it said that it included free private parking at the location... less then 24hrs hours before check in I get an email stating ( there are 3 parking spots that's first come first serve and parking on road in front of house) ok well that should be put on the description before u book the hotel cause I would've never booked with them if I'd known u had to park over 2 miles from the hotel... We got their at 3:11pm check in was 3pm - we got there and no parking for over 2 miles away from house on the side of a road in a sketchy area... We had no way of knowing about this until we arrived because their description was a lie and not detailed enough... They didn't say they had 6 rooms but only 3 parking spaces... We had 2 large suitcases, a large duffel bag. And a large cooler that they expected us to walk over 2 miles with to the house to check in... We never made it in the building - after about a half hour of calling and messaging with no response from owners we left to book another hotel over 20 minutes further and at another 200.00 in costs... we had no way to cancel the room backseat we couldn't get ahold of anyone so they said because we didn't cancel they are kept 80.00 of the 94.05 we paid to book the room stating well we said parking was first come first serve.... YEAH LESS THEN 24HRS BEFORE OUR RESERVATION WHEN IT WAS ALREADY TO LATE TO CANCEL THE ROOM.... SCAM SCAM SCAM WITH NO RESPONSE OWNERS STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOUSE - It completely ruined me from ever staying at a bed and breakfast and definitely check out all their other bad reviews...

There is plenty of parking (with signage) and even an overflow parking area. The outdoor ceremony location has a turf ground and surrounded by trees. The turf made it easy to walk with heels and the trees helped provide more of a romantic secluded environment. The reception area had an outdoor tent area (for the post ceremony appetizers and drinks) and an indoor area (for the formal dinner). Can't say anything from a planning/organization standpoint but everything went smoothly from a guest's perspective and it was a lovely area to attend a wedding.

My husband and I had planned a last minute weekend getaway to Saugatuck for our Anniversary and the day that we booked out hotel I saw an IG story that said they had an opening for that Friday in Saugatuck on Oval Beach right by our hotel.. it was meant to be! I contacted them via IG and then communicated through email after booking. Jenn was so easy to work with and made it so easy. We literally just had to show up! Our setup was stunning! No detail went unnoticed. I opted for a charcuterie board and it was so good - a little sweaty by the time we got there but all good. They had sparkling waters on ice for us, too. The location of our setup was perfect for sunset and just hanging out. The weather could not have been better! The beach was not crazy busy and no one paid us much attention. I attended a wedding at the Old Bag Factory, which is... an old bag factory! I think the name is…read morekind of funny and not the most appealing, but it is what it is! The building itself is very large and made up of several shops. The venue space is upstairs and also very large. The ceremony took place in a room with lots of great natural light. The only complaint is that the big pillars obscured the view of the wedding party for some guests. The reception happened right down the hall from the ceremony area, with the buffet line, hors d'oeuvres, bar, gift table, and guestbook table lining the space between. Everything was spread out to give enough room without feeling like you had to walk a mile to get anywhere. The bartenders were great and super friendly. We were seated by a very loud HVAC unit which made it tough to hear the MC and some of the speeches. The middle of the room was the dance floor area, which was pretty small but not a lot of people were dancing. The venue was simple and a little industrial, but a nice blank canvas for decor. Finally, the parking was a little cramped with not a lot of spaces; I believe some people had to park across the street so try to get there early if you need extra time.

This was my first time here but the staff was very helpful and pointed us to the wedding. The entire wedding and venue were beautiful!! The exposed wood and white lights created a rustic feel for the wedding guests. The food and drinks were both delicious...I think they were from the restaurant at the bag factory. There are different shops/ restaurant on the first floor at the bag factory. I would love to go back and see what else they have to offer. The Old Bag Factory-- great place to spend the afternoon or host a special event!!
