This all had to occur within one month. I found this venue online and it seems to be the best place considering the location and options. They were very accomodating and helpful. The communication was seamless. The event itself was very easy. The staff was very attentive and customer service oriented. Only complaint was that the bartender would need to be called back to the bar a few times, but then again the group was not drinking too much on this Sunday afternoon. They did an excellent job of setting up and creating the environment we had hoped for. The food was amazing, especially the mini-beef wellingtons! The prices are as what you would expect at any venue but the coordinator is very accommodating to your needs. The location is right off of the highway and the parking is very easy so its great for out of town guests (plus plenty of hotel rooms).

We ended up having the most beautiful wedding and couldn't be happier with the whole experience. The food was delicious, and Noor, the event coordinator, was phenomenal with the details and everyone went above and beyond to be sure we had everything we needed all weekend long. Really minor: The bartender didn't know what a dark and stormy was and when I just told her rum and ginger beer, she kind of looked at me funny. Also, it was an August wedding so it was very humid and although the fans inside, above the dance floor were beautiful, it still got very hot. Doesn't matter too much when you're celebrating, though! Those are really the only positive things that we can say about Whittaker Woods as our venue. The rest of our experience was horrid. Our experience seemed to be common because whenever we told people who lived in the area where our wedding was going to be held, their eyes would get wide, and they would say, "Oh? How is that working out?" When we would ask them for their opinion, they all basically suggested that the management was very unpleasant to deal with, from what they had heard from other couples. Our event coordinator changed twice during the less than one year that we were planning our wedding. We had high hopes going in because the original coordinator seemed to know what she was doing, was nice, and seemed to really want our business; however, she was replaced for mysterious and complicated reasons shortly after we signed our contract. The two coordinators who followed her seemed to have no experience or training in event coordination. The prices were all increased substantially between when we signed on with them and when our wedding was held, and we were not given the new prices until a week before our wedding - talk about stress! The owner, Mr. O'Brien, seems to only care about money and is very unprofessional. We were never introduced to him, but heard him once yelling at his staff about someone who hadn't paid their deposit, where all the customers (not many that day) could hear him-he seemed not to care. Our coordinator (the third one) consistently did not return our phone calls regarding the planning, and seemed always to be disorganized. She also once claimed to have never received a message that we left her, but later FAXed us a sheet that had a photocopy of the message slip that she "didn't receive". She also miscalculated our bill. We scheduled a tasting, and our coordinator did not give the chef the list of items that we wanted to taste, so he was unprepared. He also had dirt under his fingernails, just what you want in a chef. The food did taste good, but was overpriced. The shuttle bus that we paid to have to drive our guests from the hotel to Whittaker Woods and back left 30 minutes prior to the time that we had paid for, even though the coordinator had told us that he would stay. Then many of our guest (and us!) had to bum rides back to the hotel. Their excuse was that the shuttle driver had been sitting there for a while waiting for people to need a ride. What does that matter when we are paying by the hour?! Why should a lot of people be leaving when the reception is far from over?! That pretty much sums up our experience. As I said, the facility looks very nice and is set up well to hold a wedding and reception, but by the time we had our weddding, we had had so many problems with the management, it was hard not to let that affect our feelings about the place; also, we were worried about how they were going to take advantage of us next, but tried not to let it spoil our day.

Sharon did a great job of preparing us for all situations and provided wonderful advice on floor plans, decor, etc...Even better, every single guest was in awe of the venue. They loved that it was nontraditional yet so beautiful and intimate. It's been almost a week and we are still getting compliments from our guests! There is no need for you to look any further. Barn wedding anyone?!…read more What a beautiful and well kept venue. The main barn is rustic yet charming and the adjacent outdoor patio is large and welcoming. The landscaping surrounding the venue is well maintained and offers an additional option for hosting your party. We came here to see the venue for my brother and his fiancee's wedding next summer. The place just invites many ideas to form in regards to having a beautiful and unforgettable wedding. 5 stars for the venue itself. And this is without the decorations, food, and entertainment! If you book this place here for your party, they supply the chairs, tables, and decor. They also have suggested caterers to provide the food for your party. The main barn is also heated and air conditioned depending on the time of year that you book! I'll give you guys an updated review in June 2018 after the wedding. Can't wait!

Would not suggest Tymm Nelson as your DJ for your wedding. Disappointed is an understatement. First…read moreoff I just should have known better. It took literally months for him to give us a contract which was super generic. That should have been my first sign. We did meet with him prior to the wedding about 3 weeks before hand to go over the time line. He was very nice and seemed to be very personable. We told him specific songs that we did not want played. Told him the order of the ceremony, what songs to be played and so forth. We had very very simple requests. There were 4 songs to be played on loop while guests were being seated and while parents/grandparents were seated. Then there was 1 song to be played on repeat for the bridesmaids to walk down to and then the bride. That is not what happened. At the wedding he played the bridal party song early and we all noticed so we went to him right away and said you played it way too early make sure it's on repeat. The bridal party had music and then the bride only made it about a quarter of the way down the isle and then there was no music. Dead silent. Incredibly awkward to walk down a field with no music having 100+ people looking at you. He should have restarted the song or played something. Once the bride was to the front and the pastor started talking he randomly started playing music and shut if off right away. Needless to say as a bride I was really upset. Walking down the isle is your grand entrance and instead of feeling like you have this great memory with the music in the background it was just instead incredibly ackward. For the reception there were MULTIPLE times were no music was played and it was just dead ackward silence like right after speeches or after a song. As stated before we had songs that we said please do not at all play this type of music and well hearing "the sweat run down my balls" with your pastor right there is not exactly the music you want played. The songs we did request he did not play. At about 15 minutes before ending he came to us and said if you want me to play more you need to pay more. We said yes we would like to have another half hour but I asked if I could speak with him. When I talked to him about the ceremony he got nasty and defensive. Said that it wasn't his fault that I had no music to walk down the isle to. I said you are a professional and I am a bride walking down the isle. You should have done something. And at the very least apologize. He was just super unprofessional and even at the end didn't play our closing song instead he called my husband by the wrong name and had us stand in the middle of a circle while people danced around us. Cute for about the first 45 seconds but to do that for a few minute long song when you have given no heads up to the bride and groom is just not ok. Honestly I had the absolute best day of my life minus having Tymm as the DJ. His pricing is great but his service is sub par. I would not suggest him to anyone. Making the mistake at the ceremony can happen to anyone but it is how you handle yourself with your customers that makes the difference. He had multiple ways he could have made things right for ruining part of the ceremony. I would highly suggest to steer clear of hiring him.

My wife and I were so pleased with TNT Productions! Tymm arrived to our wedding at the Spohn…read moreballroom and jumped right in to jumpstarting our wedding. He did an unbelievably great job of keeping our wedding flowing. The music selection and uplighting was fantastic! He even took initiative to be the host for our wedding game. Tymm also threw in some amazing acts of personal service to make our day special. His rate was extremely competitive and he was more than worth every penny! He was really easy to work with and very welcoming to our family and friends. He is amazing! Thank you for being our wedding DJ, Tymm!!!!
