We began to appreciate the grand scale of this magnificent structure as we walked up the circle drive. Inside you start to appreciate the luxurious restorations all hand performed by the owner Ron as a culmination of his 30+ years in construction and interior design. The collection of pristinely preserved antiques are displayed through every inch of the interior. Despite the uniqueness of each piece, Ron has found a way to tie each room of the expansive 20+ thousand foot interior together perfectly, mirroring the original builders intent in the mid 1800s. We stayed in the stunning and spacious master suite, with its gold flecked walls with deep navy fleur de lis and double chandeliers cast a warm glow on our special anniversary. Ron provided a dura-flame log every evening, which burns clean in the functional fireplace. Every aspect to our lodgings supported elegance, from the sumptuous chaise lounges to the oriental themed paneled room divider. For these exhausted parents of two early elementary children, we felt like royalty. Ron and Dennis both hosted us in the wood paneled state dining room, where we could sit in a windowed corner sipping hot coffee made fresh and take in the grandeur. Our breakfast was custom made to our preferences with perfectly crafted vegetarian omelettes with maple bacon and well seasoned hash. Ron even fetched our dinner one evening from a restaurant downtown so we wouldn't have to leave our room! I had no idea this gem was hidden in Northern Indiana but I cannot recommend a stay Ron and Dennis's bed and breakfast enough. The inclusive nature of the venue made wedding planning relatively stress free - we just needed to handle the cake and photographer. The food, florals, DJ, decor, etc. were all handled through Beiger - and they were all fantastic. The food was definitely a highlight for our guests! Dennis did an amazing job keeping everything running smoothly on the day of the wedding. The mansion is stunning inside and out, which made for amazing photos and ambiance. You can tell how much thought was put into the appearance of every room. Members of our family and bridal party stayed there for a few days and loved it. It was such a beautiful place to start our marriage. Dennis and Ron were so delightful to work with. We wholeheartedly recommend them for any event -- especially a wedding!

When a menu advertises seasonal vegetables, I expect something fresh and reflective of the season, not something that tastes like it came straight from the freezer. It was a bit of a letdown and certainly an opportunity for improvement. That said, the hospitality--especially from MJ--was a real highlight of my visit. Great service can make all the difference, and MJ absolutely knocked it out of the park! The venue was a reasonable price. Everything was laid out very clearly in the contract and the FAQs. Anything I needed help with, Keith was available by e-mail and responded very quickly. Our vendors were easily able to access the venue to set up catering (The Landing) and the cake (C'est La Vie). It was a stress free and beautiful day. I couldn't ask for anything better! The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming, and it left a poor impression of the customer service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend using this venue if this is how guests are treated. Customer service is an important part of any event, especially a wedding, and unfortunately this experience fell well below expectations.
