This reflects Urgent Care visit. I will update when I see new PCP…read more I was honestly nervous coming here after seeing the 2 star ratings, especially since I had just changed insurance & didn't have much of a choice as the distance is a lot further away from the actual city I'm closer to. So glad it worked in my favor. The wait was long (2 hours), but they warned me ahead of time & even offered another location with shorter wait time. After driving almost 40 miles, I chose to stay and it wasn't too bad. The office is small but not crowded, and the staff was kind, efficient & attentive. Having lived in LA, 2 hours was nothing compared to average 4-12 hour wait I was used to-(LA pre-pandemic & ever since) The nurse checked on me, apologized for the additional time in Exam room waiting for the NP, asked if I needed anything (which I've never experienced). Nurse Practitioner Ana was great--she listened to me closely, checked everything thoroughly, and sent my prescription in so fast it was ready before I even left the parking lot. I was also able to get a referral to a specialist without jumping through hoops or the usual resistance I've dealt with in the past. Overall, this was one better urgent care experiences I've had in years. I felt heard and taken care of, which sadly isn't always the case anymore. Hoping the rest of my care here stays just as positive. It was mentioned I'll be in good hands, when I see my new PCP, so that was reassuring. Located behind Starbucks off Main Street. Small parking lot but accessible.

Insane wait times for a simple annual checkup... like three months. Twice the doctor mixed up my chart with another patient and didn't know until I told her that doesn't sound like my test results. The doctor didn't even look at my bloodwork until I was sitting in front of her, and I felt rushed. I told them I was moving out of state, but no one made a note of it. I kept getting texts from them, I replied I was no longer in the area. After getting set up with a hew healthcare system, I finally feel well cared for again, and realized how poor the service is in Ramona.

Dr. John Harper is the worst , not only doctor but human being!!…read more I fell while in the middle of going through Chemotherapy. He went out of his way to make it impossible for me to get help. He even went as far as to write letters to the physicians in my medical file that I went to for help. He told them that he had seen me the day after I fell and that there was nothing wrong with me and I was just "drug seeking." After 4 months of going from dr to dr looking for help because I could not lift my left leg and the pain was horrific! FINALLY, Dr. Brad Cohen, an orthopedist, actually looked at my X-rays and was baffled that I could even be walking around. I had 8 broken pelvic bones, which included both pubic rings broken straight through both bones of the structure, a broken tail bone and several of my lower vertebrae were broken. I had been in to see Dr. James Bried, who had been my Dr for over 30 years, after 7 weeks and he never even looked at my X-rays, just told me that they must be healed at this point. So there I was, a walker, no hair because I had lost it all doing chemotherapy, in tears because I couldn't lift my left leg and the pain was overwhelming. I told him that I just needed to know how badly I had been hurt from the fall and wanted to know how to fix it as soon as possible. I was not there for pain medication that was the furthest from my mind. I just wanted the damage repaired so I could walk and end being in pain. He looked at me and gestured up and down my body and said, " It's been over 6 weeks at this point and is healed. So I don't understand this behavior." At 4 months, when I was finally talked into seeing Dr. Brad Cohen and my bones were still broken. Apparently Dr Harper's letter had arrived before me because he made it very clear that he would not give me any pain medication. He did end up giving me 5 days worth of pain medication and said he WOULD NOT ever refill it and worned me not to even try. At this point I was still in the dark about the letters. Anyway, long story short, I ended up getting surgery to place the left pubic ring back in place because it came together as at an angle that's why I couldn't lift my leg. She put a broad through the top bone of the pelvic ring and did a lot of bone grafting. She said that it never would've healed because the connective tissue trying to heal. It was a gummy sticky substance and that's why it kept breaking apart. After that surgery, I could walk and lift my leg, but I still can't work exercise swim or have sex. Dr. Harper crippled me for life by preventing me from getting the help I needed right from the beginning all that needed to be done, was to set the left pubic ring Back so it is properly together and would heal and to stay off my pelvis for 6 to 8 weeks it would've healed and I would not be crippled right now. He had over 40 years worth of records that he could've gone through to find out if I was a drug seeker I have been Dr. Arsham's patient since 1981 when he retired, Dr. Harper took over for him and totally Ruined my life by crippling me he had no right. He's a horrible man who had no right to do that to me. Also, when he took over for Dr. Arsham, he decided I didn't need the medication I had been on for 35 years and just stopped filling them. It's the pharmacist to put me back on them. Some of them were prescriptions that you can't just cold turkey quit and pharmacist told me that I was not the only patient of Dr. Arsham's that he was doing that too . What a horrible man, definitely on a Power trip. I was gonna sue him, but I had been so ill and in so much pain that I missed statute of limitations by 10 days. 10 days! I wanted to sue the pants off of him.

However, 90 days later a bill from Arch/Palomar Health double billed and was a collections notice. This was clearly a mistake, and additional billing occurring 60 days after a doctor visit by my partner also occurred, to the tune of hundreds of dollars. We went in person to discuss this, and had no help at all. Original invoices of service were revised with higher fees by Arch after the fact. Months after the fact. My detailed message here on Yelp to try to get help was ignored, which is why I am posting this review, which pains me because I have been coming to this office for ages, but I feel I need to warn others that the new ownership is over-billing, as others have posted about as well. The office does not seem to want to help their patients with this. I am surprised, truly, that they are letting Arch/Palomar do this to their local patients. Please be careful with your services here. And keep your receipts.
