Where to begin? I went to Blakout Window Tint to get some emblems Plastidipped that were chrome. The emblems were on my 2017 Ford F150 that was BRAND NEW. However, I hate chrome so thought that I would go to a place that plastidipped! I found this place through a search online and even looked at the photos that they uploaded of prior work. I then came in and paid for the work to be done. I was told it would take an hour or hour and a half to do all (was a total of 5 pieces). After several hours (while I waited at the business), I was told by the owner that his normal guy wasn't available and he was using someone that he didn't normally use that was "supposed to be good". However, he said the guy had to leave and he was trying to fix the guys work. To my HORROR I found that all of my emblems were REMOVED from the truck and then haphazardly plastidipped and then GORILLA GLUED back on!! I was in absolute DISGUST by what they did. Also, the gorilla glue not stick immediately so they added MORE! This caused streaks of glue to go down my new paint!! I was told by the owner that he wasn't pleased with the work and was going to try and call his normal guy to fix. Let me give you a description of what the work looked like: On the side of my truck (both sides) there were F150 emblems that were bolted onto the truck. One was left on the truck and one was not put back on by Blakout due to the quality of work looking HORRIBLE. Below that were "ecoboost" emblems that were placed back on the truck by Gorilla glue. There was a gap from the glue because they did not remove the double sided tape on EITHER PART (the truck or the emblem) and thus they stuck out quite a bit and by time I got home they were almost completely off. On the rear was the text "F150" in individual letters. Same situation as the ECOBOOST emblems. Half the letters fell off by time I got home. **I HAVE PHOTOS OF ALL OF THIS DAMAGE AS WELL AS ALL DOCUMENTS TO SHOW PROOF** I left for home to wait. By time I got home half of the emblems had FALLEN off the truck. I also had emblems in my hand that were not placed back on the truck. I called the next day for an appointment and the usual guy "had car troubles" and wouldn't be in. I did not want this stuff on my truck causing damage so I called several other places. I contacted another business and explained what I was going through and the owner was like, "what the heck was that business thinking, that is NOT how to do the work" and told me that he would charge me at least $350 to fix it. I then called Blakout and left the owner voicemails and texts that would take quite a while to respond. Then I had to use Facebook Messenger to finally get any response. I explained to him that I wanted to get a quote from another company to fix the issue. I recommended another company close by that also did plastidipping (I didn't know they did). The owner of Blakout agreed to pay for fixing the damage from that new company since he knew the owner. I was pleased, at that point. I went to the new company and the owner came out and said he could try and fix the damage. He gave me a quote and sent the bill to Blakout. A few days later I was at my appointment to try and fix the "work" done by Blakout. After a few hours the owner of the new company said they were able to remove some of the emblems but that there was no way he could get GORILLA GLUE off my car. He said it needed to go to a BODY SHOP! I then went to a local body shop and got a quote of $1500 in repairs needed for my truck just to get the glue off of my truck. They stated they would have to WETSAND my doors and tailgate to fix the damage caused by Blakout. I then called Blakout and didn't get a response so I brought the estimate directly to the shop. The owner said that the quote was too much and that he wasn't going to pay. He then stated that he had "a buddy that does body work that could probably fix it". However, by that time I was fed up and wanted it done by a neutral party to fix it. He said he would call me and let me know. He also gave me a refund for what I paid. After several days and attempts to contact him I was unsuccessful. He showed a total lack of commitment to fixing the issue. I would try all means short of actually going to the business. So, I contacted my insurance company and filed a claim and after explaining to them the situation they considered the damage by the business as being VANDALISM. They attempted to make contact with the business and never got a response (at that point). I finally got ahold of the Blakout's owner (who stated he was out of town and that was why he wasn't answering). He agreed to pay for my $100 deductible but that was it. I offered several different options but they were not agreeable to him. I did not want to half fix my NEW vehicle. In the end, I went to a body shop and my insurance paid for the damage. The total at the end of the day turned out to be closer to $1600 in damage! BEWARE!!! read more

Unfortunately I had to go back multiple times so they could fix the tint on my Tesla X. (3 which is too many if that's your profession) Lifetime warranty or not. I should not have to go back multiple times to get a job completed properly. I showed one time and Andre wasn't there. I missed work to get the tint repaired and he was a no show for personal reasons The guy on location advised he was too busy for the repair that was already paid for. I ended up going to a different shop to fix issue. As I refuse to make multiple trips back to a business to continue to try to fix my tint. If you have a Tesla Model X I do not recommend this business. read more

The window tint was done well, however, the owner who worked on my car recklessly sped in my car as he reversed to exit the garage. His friend who owns a red Chrystler 300 was parked too close to the garage exit and had his passenger door propped open and the owner swiped the door of the Chrysler 300 upon exiting. The owner who drove of my car stopped parallel to the car he swiped thinking he hit it but did not exit the vehicle to inspect. I brought this damage to my vehicle to his attention after I paid for my window tinting and the owner did not take responsibility for the damage he caused. Again, I am not doubting the quality of the work performed, but I want everyone to be aware that the owner did not take responsibility for damaging my car and may do the same to you and not pay for it. Zero stars. If you like damage to your vehicle, multiple trips to have tint "touched up", terrible customer service, and lots of stress by all means take your car to this disaster of a business. The pictures are of my brand new car. Less than a month from a dealership and I already have to repair 3 areas. Not to mention bubbles in almost every window. I brought it back to them to fix and it looks even worse! With get this....more damage! I should have done my homework before coming to this sorry excuse of a business. There are plenty of reviews that are similar to mine on multiple sites regarding this shop and the quality of work they perform. I have tried for nearly a week to come to a resolution with these people to have the damages repaired and they have ignored my requests. Now a lawsuit is in motion. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. Unless you don't care about your vehicle, quality work, professionalism and wasting your time. Had the front 2 windows on my GMC Sierra 2500 tinted. These guys had 3 cars in front of me and had me in and out in under 2 hours. They get it done without giving you the run around, unlike some of these other shops in Waldorf. Highly recomended. I have 3 more vehicles I'm taking back to Blakout in the next few weeks. I've had two cars tinted and my daughter had one car of hers tinted with this place. Dre gets you in and OUT of there. Love how he has the lobby with a/c, comfy couch and netflix while you wait!! Reasonably priced. Love this place!!! This is as good as it gets. read more

Came in after work on a wed around 5:15 got 20% all around a windshield strip 5% and got marker and turn signals panted black 225$ worth every penny. I would never recommend this place. The first time we brought our expedition in, they did it very quickly. When we got it back we noticed that the tint all around the vehicle got very cloudy when the sun hit it so we waited a few days to see if it would go away on its own. It didnt, so we took it back in to be fixed. They told us to bring it in at a certain time on a friday, so we were under the impression that this was an appt. We were very wrong as they work on a first come first serve basis and apparently take in more than they can handle on a single day. They didn't get to it on friday..no big deal. Said they would have it done saturday...didn't happen. Then we were told it would be done Sunday. They aren't open Sundays so it didn't happen then either. we had no way of even getting our keys back, no way of contacting anyone. They finally finished it on Monday afternoon after we had to sit there and wait for it to be done. After all that, they only redid the front 2 windows when we pointed out that all the windows were cloudy. Not only that but there are little snags in the tint. I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere to be completely redone. read more

Never again! I asked the owner of the shop (Andre) to advise me on the proper legal percentage of tint for my new car. He recommended 35% in front, 20% in the back, and assured me that this was legal. Being a new car owner, who is not from this state, I trusted him. When I went to get the state inspection the next day, my car didn't passed because not only was my tint illegal, but the percentage that he gave me (which he wrote on my receipt) was inaccurate. The inspection officer's machine read 30% in front, 18 in the back. What? I went back to the shop. I asked him to please take the tint off and put the legal percentage. He now tells me that he has no way of reassuring me that the percentage is accurate. Excuse me? I asked for a refund, so that I could take my car to a shop that was able to accurately measure the percentage. He told me that he doesn't offer refunds. Then he told me that he would take the tint off for my car to pass the inspection and put it back on afterwards. Mind you, I live 35 minutes away from the shop. My husband and I did not like this option, but reluctantly agreed. When I went back, he put the tint back on. It looked good both times, although it was inaccurate and illegal, the opposite of what I had asked for. Then he tried to charge me AGAIN. He wanted me to pay $140. He told me like he was doing me a favor. Lol. I had already paid $185 for the job he did WRONG and wasted HOURS of my precious vacation time. I told him that I did not agree to pay for it again considering his job supposedly comes with a lifetime warranty. He indicated to me that it wasn't his fault, and that he had used new materials, blah, blah, blah. So it's my fault? NO! He told me that the reason why the percentage read that way was because supposedly when you tint your windows, they already have some sort of tint that makes it darker. And Santa Claus exists! Yeah, no. Wrong answer. That's by far the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my entire life. You are not talking to an uneducated person. I didn't go to grad school for nothing. I had so much patience with all this nonsense. Up to this point, I was STILL thinking in bringing my car back for detailing since he was "fixing" the issue and was polite enough. You lost me as a customer for life for your greediness, sir! And since you clearly decided to underestimate my intelligence, probably because I'm a woman and look young, here's a review for you! Very good experience here! I called and the gentleman accepted me the same day, actually he was there waiting on me! He completed my full suv in about an hour and his prices were fair and affordable. Another thing I respected so much about Blackout is that they clean up After themselves! None of those water strikes or glue sticking to your interior! He did so well I had to bring him my husband suv to do an over lay. When I tell you we went to the store and came back in 20 minutes he was done with my husbands truck. My car was finished in less than 1 hour of arrival and a minor imperfection was fixed quickly the next day (less than 5 mins). I would definitely recommend them to friends and family! read more

Got my Hyundai Elantra tinted on 03/18/19 I was a walk-in called and the owner (I presume) said I could come in once I got off of work which was cool. I got off at 1 was there by 1:15pm. My car was done by 2pm which was sweet. Initially it looks good it's been two and half days and there's only tiny evidence of bubbling on the two front windows. I'm gonna give it more time to cure before writing it off as a bad job. My mom had wanted tints too so on that same Monday I called to see if he could tint her car on Thursday 03/21/2019. He said sure bring it in at 10AM soon as they open. I was there at 9:45am to be punctual and ready to be in and out quickly same as he did my car. By 10 he wasn't there. Which is cool it's raining this morning so I don't mind giving the benefit of the doubt. 10:30AM comes and I've been waiting 30 minutes for this guy to show up at his own place of business...I left promptly at 10:30am because then it's my time being wasted. Completely unprofessional and I'm not happy at all with how this second experience went. I'll be looking elsewhere to get our second car tinted. read more

The work done is just horrible and not up to par with a professional shop let me explaine. So I went to blakout tint to get my hole car tinted and some decals put on. Let's start first with the decals. I ordered top of the line $150 decals online the self adhesive type. I had the directions on how to install along with the supplies (masking tape, sqeegie) I also included pictures on where I wanted them installed. Well the self adhesive decals were put on with wet spray adhesive and not in the right spots (eye balled) which means there's an overhang of the decals on the bodywork and there already peeling and full of bubbles Also the decals instructions with pictures were not followed. I figured a shop could do a better job at the decals then myself but boy was I wrong. I could have saved $250 ($150 decals, $100 installation) and done a better job myself and it would have been done right. OK let's move on to the tint. The tint had so many bubbles even after 2 week in the sun and when looked at closely it was because of lint and dust and hair that was trapped under the tint also the cut lines where the tint was cut looked like my 7 year old cut them with dull kids sissors all jagged and ugly. There was tint solution all over the interior and exterior of my brand new 2018 car that I had to clean off along with garbage left in my car from the installation. So I brought it back and he redid the tint, decals couldn't be redone and I'm gonna trash em. So on the second tint I would say 80% of the bubbles we're better but still a few lint bubbles and the drunk kid sissors cut lines. also there were box cutter razor slices in my plastic trim around my windows, yes cut the plastic trim on my 2018 brand new car. It wasn't on purpose but an over cut when cutting the tint. Also agian the adhesive spray was all over my car and more garbage. I also noticed something was set on my roof and dragged off leaving scratch marks WTF just WTF. I love how they treated my brand new $42,000 car. Stay clear this place is a hack job. read more
