    Blackwood Burger. Outstanding
    Brian B.

I'm staying in the Hotel and here on Business for three days. My new office is just 5 minutes and I didn't really feel like driving around after working all day. I had 4 meals including lunch and three of them were at Blackwood. Not just for convenience but it's that good. The Blackwood Burger was out of this world and I should mention I had it twice including today. A perfect compliment were the fries. Almost like a lite Beer Batter. Very crispy and very delicious. After living in California for so long I told James ( The Best Bartender/Server/ excellent Employee) I wish that I had an Avocado to put on it. That was my Big Back talking. I'm still thinking about those Fries. If your in California think nobody has better.and you hit the mark. Back to th Burger. My first night there I had a chance to meet the Chef, who is said to have done a complete overhaul of the Menu. As you can see from the picture everything was fresh. I also had a chance to taste their Wings which by this point I expected to be not but great. No disappointment there for sure. The Wings are Smoked than a lightly fried to a Crisp. None of those Pigeon Wings either. These were huge Wings and they were exceptional. I believe there are four flavors and got the BBQ Rub. I don't look forward per se to visiting offers for any particular thing othan business, but I'll be staying at this Delta by Marriott on futur visits. I want to also mention that the Hotel Staff is second to none as well. I don't usually say, "I had a great time" on Business trips, but it felt like going home.complete with a hot meal. Thank you to Delta and Blackwood by Marriott for helping make my trip as well as my work completion a success. If you just so happen to live by here it's worth a shot. By the way a tried a Cocktail today made by James and let me tell you that Black.Berry Smash was outstanding. It took me back to my Drink on a Norwegian Cruise trip with the family. I had a seat at the end of the Bar and the Black Berry Smashes kept coming. James turned out to be able to make the perfect drink as well. I'll be back for sure. Y'all Holla' atchaboy'.

It was amazing experience being from our town. Eating at this restaurant made it feel like home. So thank you Aleah, Kate, other staff for for feeding us delicious food, and serving nice cold drinks! Thank you! I would recommend

Well stocked bar and food menu. Free parking. Loved the vibe, but they had a huge stage and no music. So disappointing!

This is inside a hotel. So for travelers staying elsewhere might not work. Did not for us.

Before my flight, I asked Siri for the best restaurant in Terminal C, and the two recommendations were Ole Red and Three Casks. Since I was looking for a quieter meal instead of live music, Three Casks won. I'm glad it did. It's a bit of a walk toward the C20 gates, but if you have the time, it's worth it. I grabbed a seat overlooking the terminal, ordered a cold local beer, and settled in for some excellent people-watching before boarding. The Patty Melt was the star of the meal. Served on grilled rye with beautifully caramelized onions, pickled Peppadew peppers, and perfectly melted cheese, it hit every note. Comfort food done right. The server also brought over a caddy of house sauces, and the Apple Pie BBQ sauce completely surprised me. Sweet, smoky, and unlike anything I've had before. I found myself dipping every bite into it. My Caesar salad was the only miss. The homemade croutons were excellent, but the dressing was so heavy that it overwhelmed the lettuce and delicate Parmesan flavors. Next time, I'll simply ask for the dressing on the side. Service was friendly, attentive, and efficient, which isn't always easy in an airport setting. I only wish they offered a dessert menu because I absolutely would have stayed for one more course. If you're tired of the usual fast-food options and want a real meal before your flight, Three Casks is a solid choice. Sometimes the best travel memories aren't the destination--they're the unexpected meal you find along the way. Life is too short to eat poorly or travel without exploring what's around you. The next time you're passing through Nashville, skip the food court, take the short walk down Terminal C, and treat yourself.

My bad…read more Etch sits on the corner of Demonbreun (demon brewin' LOL) and Almond Street (between 3rd and 4th). A fairly small, upscale restaurant led by chef Deb Paquette. Prior to the tax hike, they had one of the best happy hours in the area. Still some good things on the menu, but my favorites, like the duck tart, are gone. Very small bar in the front, unlike Brick Tops across the street. This means there is not a lot of room to wait for a table, so definitely consider a reservation. The main dining room is through a doorway to the right. This space is roomier with ample glass to give it a nice open feel. The food? One of the best meals in Nashville. I have been here numerous times and the food never disappoints. The wait staff will detail the chef's special of the day and these are often the best way to go when you visit. The grilled Filet is excellent, but they also have osso bucco, a proscuitto chicken roulade, and Venison on the menu. For appetizers, the roasted cauliflowere or mezze are great for a lighter start. Labm meatballs are esquisite and, outside of the duck tart (now gone), the smoke carpaccio is my go to. For dessert, I am torn. The Chocolate Mousse bar is decadent, but I have had a thing for New Zealand Pavlova since I first tried it in California. For happy hour, they have 3 cocktails for $9. The tempura mushrooms, fried brussels sprouts, and roasted cauliflower are all good, but I miss the duck tart. I did mention the duck tart, right Deb?

Sunlit room right on the street allows you to catch all the movement outside, but it stays quiet enough to close a deal or catch up on ten years. We both ordered a salad. The Etch (arugula, radicchio, fennel, green apples, bleu cheese, hazelnuts, candied orange peel, champagne vinaigrette) and the Mediterranean (arugula, fennel, bacon, capers, tomatoes, chickpeas, manchego cheese, red bell essence, sunflower seed hummus, caper vinaigrette). Both were generous and very good! And Athena, our server, was the difference. Thorough, quick, warm, on top of everything without hovering. Thank you, Athena! You made the whole thing better. If you're in Nashville and need a lunch spot that works for actual conversation, this is it.
