The owner said the window film he used on my vehicle had lifetime warranty but after two years, the film turned purple. When I went back to him to for replacement, he wanted to charge me a few hundred dollars for the removal of the defective film. I will never give this place any of my business. Either he, or the person to whom he delegates this task, is an excellent writer and did a very good job of badly misrepresenting what happened. However, the glare of simple truth is hard to obfuscate no matter the wizardry of the wordsmith. He got me in there with a cheap quote, told me to bring cash, which I did, (the exact amount), and then hard upsold me on a product I neither needed nor wanted (but which no doubt had a much higher profit margin). As the party in the wrong will often do, he next attempted to blame me and my attitude for his own bad behavior. Nice try blackout but no dice. And given the righteous and true answer you now read, you've only managed here to double down on your shady ways. I TRULY WISH I did not have to do this as I'm a big supporter of local business... in addition I only like to use YELP for positive reviews in order to promote small business owners. HOWEVER, I was really disturbed and bothered by the way I was treated today. I've had tint on my windows for 10 years now and it's peeling so I called another tint shop to have it removed and redone and was told they could do it, however when I mentioned that I got it done at blackout they said they have a lifetime warranty so they suggested that I take it to them.... I love honest people!! I will not leave the name of that tint shop as I am not here to promote other businesses but rather just to leave a comment.. Anyhow, I looked in my car and found the original receipt and sure enough it stars which lifetime warranty.. I was super stoked since my tint was now purple and peeling. Anyhow, so I walked in and was nicely greeted. Until I explained that my tint was fading and peeling ..and I would like it corrected I showed my receipt which states lifetime warranty (see picture) .. then he rudely said "this was 10 years ago Bro" Wow, ok... now I'm a "Bro"... anyhow I was cool about it and let his rude statement fly by.. so I took him to my car to show the tint and he also noticed that part of my paint on my car was chipping off so he decided to insult me by saying "hey did you take that to the dealer ? Maybe they have a lifetime warranty too" WOW!!! Seriously... what a jerk!! I was offended but more shocked that someone (especially a business owner) would insult me like that! I was still nice about it as I understand he's running a business and needs to make money like all of us do.. more so I was desperate to get it off as it looks like sh$t) I said look since your not willing to honor your lifetime warranty can you At least offer a discount.. This is the best reply " I may be able to offer a discount but not until summer is over" I was like WTH.. his response was "summer is my busy time so I don't have time to remove the tint until business slows down" Are you kidding me!!!!! I've taken 6 vehicles here over the years and get excellent tint results all the time. It's been in the same location since I first discovered them in 1999. The materials used are quality and fully warrantied. The work is done by the same person and also the owner. I'm about to take my 7th vehicle here in a few days. Opt for the pricier (metal film rather than dye) tint. For an extra $20, it's well worth the money. Update: Quality and customer service have been lacking here lately. Last time I was in for a tint job, owner was 30 minutes late for the first appointment on a Saturday. By the time he got there, there was another customer waiting there and they mentioned they were having a hard time with the warranty coverage as bubbles developed on the back window. After the tint job, there was some dirt trapped in one of the corners of the window and had to be re-done. read more

I had Miguel tint my two last vehicles, a 2006 Tacoma and a 2013 mustang. He tinted the Tacoma about 3 times all due to me getting tickets on my way to Vegas (my bad i guess, CHP loves me). The first time was the most expensive but the next two were a little cheaper due to the fact that he recognized me and hooked it up. When I bought my brand new Mustang the front two windows weren't tinted and I went straight to him. I wanted him to match the existing tint on the back 3 windows and he went a little darker than I wanted. When I told him this he immediately fixed it for me without a hassle. He's a good guy who's always busy but never sacrifices quality of service or products. Keep your receipts for the lifetime warranty. Now that I live in arizona I have to find a new tint shop or just wait 1.5 months until I go back to Pomona to visit family. Oh and go for the metallic tint, you can really feel the heat reduction. I came here and got my 2019 car front windows tinted. The owner lives in his business. He sleeps in a room adjacent to the waiting room and his shower is in the garage. He swears he is the best guy out there and that his work is the best because it's him tinting the windows and not some employee. Regardless, my car tint still has bubbles after 5 months. He takes the door panels off the car when tinting and ever since then my brand new car rattles when the volume on my music is too loud. Prices here are on par with all the other places so honestly just go somewhere else. Also, he says you can't watch him as he does the work...
