While not quite Babylon, this floating multifunctional space has adopted plants and flowers from this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show- tens of thousands, in fact-, giving them a second life as the perfect gildings for this temporary venue. There's plenty of outdoor space affronting expansive views of the Thames, Canary Wharf and the local area- and for when the weather turns, most of Farmopolis is sheltered under a greenhouse like structure. There's a bar and café with a seated area and ample space to wander, enjoy the flora and take in some fresh air. It aims to be a community hub and welcoming oasis for all, asking only for a £3 donation upon entry to cover running costs and to be fed back into educational projects. The schedule of events is replete and runs from the end of July until the end of August. A relatively quick walk from North Greenwich station, Farmopolis is just enough of a wander that it guarantees a nice, quiet spot for a cocktail or merely to drop-in and see what is on offer that day. Some events are ticketed, so be sure to consult the itinerary on their website to ensure that you don't miss something, as some events will likely sell out in advance. During a preview launch, activities like flower arranging were demonstrated and proved very popular- the cocktail menu was also appealing, all influenced by botanicals and flora. A nice urban garden in the city, Farmopolis will be an exciting destination for events throughout the summer. It's a peaceful getaway and we enjoyed perching over the Thames, watching the Emirates cable cars glide back and forth in the near distance and sipping away on honey-infused fizz.

The crowd was certainly chavier than I expected, the set funkier than I anticipated but alas, you can bring the boys to the club but all I could see in my peripheral vision was the hottest girl the wrong side of the Thames dancing in a skinny vest for four hours flat. Gutter, head out, working on it. A Benny Benassi moment if ever there was one.

Go up a level and there is a Room 2 which has a different DJ in this is also the same style music and busy too. There is a toilet on this level though beware you walk in one door and it splits in 2 sides which you can see down both and that's men and womens hmmm. another bar on this level and a balcony over looking the dance floor and again a seating area. You can go to level 3 if your VIP for VIP you have to have a minimum spend of £500 per table, which believe me you do, you get waitress service and a nice leather booth. The table opens up and it's filled with ice and bottles of vodka or champagne or whatever you order. There is also your own private VIP dancefloor with disco lights and your own toilet - not split. So, crossing my fingers, I was hoping for a coincidence and searched to see if there were any productions of The Nutcracker in London during the time we would be in London. And...YAY! The English National Ballet would be putting on a production of The Nutcracker! Excitedly, I bought me and the hubs 2 tickets to go in mid-December. We didn't get anything too pricey - some balcony seats. I was worried we wouldn't be able to see much. However, to my lovely surprise, the view was absolutely fine from where we were. We trotted our way down to the London Coliseum and found ourselves in an oh-so-gorgeous theater. So beautiful! Our night started off just right, with good tickets for a decent price and a decent view, and a gorgeous theater. Our night was made even better by the gorgeous ballerinas jeté-ing and pas de bourrée-ing across the stage. The costumes and set design surely set the night (what with the lil wheelie shoes to make it seem like they were ice-skating across a wonderful lil pond?!). Sure, my review may be a tad biased. Heck, I love everything and anything to do with ballet and especially The Nutcracker. But, if I told you the hubby even liked it, would that mean something? This place is teeny tiny by comparison. But after getting over the shock, I was pleasantly surprised. This place ain't bad. I've come here a few times now, both for seated concerts and standing gigs. I definitely prefer it as a venue for gigs - there's a good little bar at the back and plenty of space too throw some shapes. When they put out rows of seating though, they cram in as much as possible... so if you're stuck on the end, like we were, the view ain't great. And twisting my body and craning my neck to see meant that I came away stiff all over. Ouch. But always happy to giggedy-gig here!

No sticky floors in sight here, just miles of bars making it really easy to get served, and a low stage with sunken floor, all standing, and brilliant acoustics. This is as close as you could come to a 'your front room' feeling in a 1000 capacity venue - well worth braving the 40 minute boat trip!

This review is aimed at the promoters of Shake Your Patty, a so called Burger and Milkshake…read morefestival on Sunday 13th August. Studio 338, I imagine, with the right event could be quite a nice venue. Unfortunately on this occasion it wasn't right. We got tickets on the second release having been told by the promoters that there would be the best burger and milkshake joints in London. We paid £13 each for this and thought that wasn't a bad deal. The closer we got to the date, the less confident we were that it was going to be good. The promoters kept promising to release vendor lists and didn't. Eventually they told us that there would be 5/6 burger vendors including a vendor selling vegan burgers plus milkshake vendors. However they only ever named 1 milkshake vendor. Apparently they'd sold 1500 tickets for the event plus door sales. How are you supposed to feed and water that many people with that small amount of vendors? We saw messages on the morning of the event saying that 1 of the burger vendors was not coming because of technical difficulties. Then later on in the morning opening time was pushed back by an hour as the ONLY milkshake vendor was running late. So we get there and try to get in around 1pm. Whilst in the queue we were handed a voucher each for "a free burger" and we're met by an excessive level of security for this type of event. They were doing full pat downs of those entering; the ladies in my group complained to me that they felt as if they had been groped during their searches. They were taking bottles of water, and even chewing gum of people on the way in. When we finally made it into the venue we were disappointed to see that the milkshake vendor still hadn't arrived. We queued up for our free burgers. I went to the Cheeky Burger counter and got a slider (tiny burger) with my voucher. It was tasty enough but not really what I was expecting as a freebie. A friend of mine decided to get a full size burger from one of the vendors. That was £10 including chips and after waiting 15 minutes to order had to wait a further 20 minutes for his order to be cooked!! We were keeping an eye on Facebook for updates from the event and found out that the milkshake provider would not be coming because of more technical difficulties! To make things worse, the bars had no price lists and were charging £5 for a 330ml bottle of beer! We were getting fed up of waiting around somewhere with no shade and loud, repetitive and not really appropriate for this sort of event music. As we were thinking of leaving we saw a post from the promoters saying that their "plan b" milkshake vendor was 10 minutes away. We waited long enough to see that "plan b" was actually 2 ice cream vans. At this point we left thoroughly dissatisfied with the whole experience. I have NEVER been to an event so poorly organised and I will NEVER go to an event organised by this company again. Not only were they not replying to their customers complaints but they were actively deleting negative comments from threads of the event page. Shocking behaviour.

I went for the first time to see my favorite boy band, Five, on their reunion tour. A 20,000+ person capacity arena in the center of a "mall" is wild. The arena had great sound, and even though I was in the upper tier stage-left, I had a clear view of the stage. For a first time visitor, it is important to note that the upper tier is very steep. I was only in the 2nd row from the ledge, so I did not have any issues with vertigo/motion sickness. However, I would personally avoid seats near the top because I know I would have issues. There is a separate merch store outside the area to avoid crazy lines once you enter the arena. You can bring small packages and pursues inside but they made others rent a locker to place large packages and jackets. In addition to the arena, there is a smaller venue that was simultaneously hosting a K-Pop concert and the dinner venue for Mamma Mia! I wish I would have arrived when the shops first opened as I could have easily spent an entire day wandering around. If you are visiting London and have the opportunity to see a show at one of the venues, I highly recommend making a day of it!

The counter employees do strikw up conversations and make jokes which makes the waiting in the queue that much worth it. I'm never afraid of making a witty or funny remark as I have been accompanied with one in return which is always a nice thing - The SKYSUPERSCREEN is one of the featurea in which makes this cinema remarkable. I remember watching 'Gaurdians Of The Galaxy' on the superscreen and it was phenomenal.
