We called Black Widow because of their Yelp reviews. Though I had to leave a message when I first called, I was called back right away. I am always amazed how many service businesses fail to promptly call back, so that was the start of a good impression. I don't remember the guy's name who called me back, but I assume he was the owner. He was very friendly and helpful. We scheduled an appointment for the following day and he let us know that Kenny would be visiting our house to do the work. Kenny showed up right on time with a big smile on his face. I have an issue with dealing with companies who have miserable employees, and Kenny seemed to be anything but miserable. He was very friendly, talkative and had a great demeanor. He let us know exactly what he would be doing and why he'd be doing it. He also gave my wife and I some pointers on hiking 14ers and how to use the panorama mode on my cell phone camera.... thanks Kenny! All around, the experience was exactly what I think of when I think of good service. When it's time for our next service, I will not hesitate to call Black Widow again. read more

Spring is apparently breeding season for ants, and they were definitely breeding in and around our house. I called on a Friday for an appointment and they were able to come out that same day. Their spray is pet/kid friendly, and although they said it takes two weeks to fully "get 'em," we haven't seen another ant since. 100% pleased with everything about this company! read more

Very professional and polite. My house was treated two days ago for spiders and general pests. We used to see at least 3 spiders every time we would go down to the basement. Since the treatment i haven't seen any since, although we were told that it could take up to 3 weeks for the treatment to fully ban these little monsters satisfied so far. We had a real spider problem at our home a year ago. I sprayed and bug bombed the house repeatedly and it seemed to just make the spiders bigger. The bushes outsider were covered in webs in the fall. I called Black Widdow exterminators and was leery because the price seemed high and I wasn't sure it was going to improve the situation. An exterminator arrived and sprayed something that looked and smelled like water in some random areas inside and outside. I thought "this isn't going to work. He isn't even spraying the spiders. This stuff doesn't smell strong enough to kill anything." I was wrong. I didn't see a single spider anywhere for nearly a year! Not one. We have recently started seeing some spider activity again so we gave them a call. They were booked a few weeks out. They arrived on time and sprayed for spiders. Same success as last time. The exterminator also found a good size yellow jackets nest outside. He put on a bee suit and took care of the nest - AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. Wow! Black Widdow is great. read more

I used Yelp to message local pest businesses and get quotes. To my surprise the owner replied back to me on Labor Day. He didn't need to do that and he did so that was a plus. Scheduled me in for the following day. They were about 15-20 minutes late, which I was a little upset about because I didn't get a message through Yelp to notify me that they were running late. As soon as the guy got here, he was very apologetic to both my husband and I. He was a very nice and professional guy. Hopefully the hand duster treatment works and gets rid of all the wasps/bees. The only problem we had was that he couldn't spray around the house or anywhere else. He was only able to spray if there were nests. Disappointed. We still have A LOT of wasps flying around the house. Same problem. Nothing changed. read more

I have had several great experiences with Black Widow Exterminators. Initially I called them to take care of a persistent ant problem. It took 2 treatments and the ants were gone. I called them back to do a general treatment in my basement to control the spiders. The customer service is exceptional and the guys I've had out completing the jobs have also been great. read more

These guys are great. Turned out I had bedbugs (nasty) and they came out within two days. Kenny treated my bedroom, my guest room, and the dog bedding. He stood there and didn't bat an eye when I started to cry about the bugs and very convincingly reassured me that he would get every last one. And when he followed up two weeks later, he even double-checked all of my bedroom furniture to see if he could pinpoint where they came from. 16 days later, and I haven't seen any evidence of bedbugs or had a single bite since he was there. Thankfully. Everyone has been professional and honest and they were quite affordable. No offense to them, but I hope I don't need them to come out for any more bedbug treatments. :) read more

Our friends told us to contact Black Widow to take care of a pest problem we had. I contacted the business via Yelp, and got a response right away from the business owner, Paul. He worked around our busy schedule. He sent a tech guy to come to our house, and he was at our house half hour early (so awesome!). Tech guy was very friendly, professional, answered all our questions. A few days after his visit the problem went away (Yippee!). The only thing we regret is we should've called this business sooner. We had previously used a different pest control company and believed their pricing was excessively high for the service provided. When speaking with Paul, he was very friendly, professional and available on short notice. Black Widow eradicated a large wasp issue under our deck in one treatment, set bait traps for mice in the garage and sprayed for spiders inside and out all for a very fair price. The technician Kenny was friendly and brave (remember, it was a large wasp nest!), he explained the chemicals and treatments he would be using, addressed the safety concerns we had as it related to our children and dog and the process was quick. I have to say that this is the BEST Pest Control company in the state for sure!!! We have used several other companies (all which required an UNNECESSARY CONTRACT FOR MONTHLY OR QUARTERLY SERVICES. I am as arachnaphobic as a human can get and spiders are incredibly hearty creatures & difficult to kill....the chemicals that Black Widow Exterminator uses actually will have a residual effect on spiders and will eventually kill them if they crawl across the areas that have been sprayed. They don't require a monthly or quarterly contract and will do one time spraying as needed...they are very respectful and considerate of your property and they show up on the day & time scheduled and their prices are very competitive...plus they guarantee their work!!!
