The Rum Runner cruise is 21+ and definitely not for the prudish. If you like toilet humour, and dirty jokes that were more crude than funny, then this is the place for you. The sea shantys with their foot stomping was a little fun, but the audience was really not engaged. They had a bar with one person serving drinks so there was a little wait. Maybe the more people drank, the funnier it became? On the way back to the dock, one of the actors shoots a flintlock pistol from the quarter deck. Whether it was announced beforehand, we don't know, because by that time, we had become bored with the show and were standing around talking. Hopefully, there was advanced warnings for people who might have ptsd. In all, it was an okay way to spend an hour and a half with friends.

    Thursday night rum runner tour.

Holy bleep pirates. The rum runner tour was lots of fun, but this is definitely an experience for adults. The pirates hold nothing back, tell dirty jokes and sing really dirty songs pretty much the whole time. It was a beautiful night with a full moon perfect night for sail. It's a 2-hour trip down the matanza, the boat has a full bar and a big list of cocktails. If you're in St Augustine and want a unique experience for adults book the rum runner tour $30 but worth it. If you want to laugh, sail and drink this is the way to go. Aarrgh matey enjoy.

My husband and I did the rum runners cruise, which is the night time 21 and up. It was a lot of fun!! There is definitely foul language, but nothing overwhelming. The crew/entertainers had me laughing. The hour and 46 minute cruise waS both a combination of entertainment and being able to just enjoy being on the water. The only downfall is the line for the onboard bar was really long. Other than that, it was worth our time and money

Interacting with the kids & the bad guys.

Highly recommend this with your kiddos! My 3 year old had a blast and he was the smallest. They are very interactive with the kids and make funny jokes with the adults. They also have a bar for adults and kid friendly drinks & snacks. Awesome Ambiance. I do think it could be more affordable especially for bigger families but over all a great time & i recommend it for adults & or with kids. Thanks for a good time pirates ‍.

Absolutely phenomenal! If you have children and are going to be in St. Augustine, book this!! Our big family of all ages - loved it!! This is the real deal tour on a real boat. People are so critical for things that relate to them not being able to handle this event. Be aware they don't offer parking lol - the parking is a pain, so don't get there last minute. There are CANNONS firing!! If you are rattled by that it's not for you (we loved the interaction)! Drinks are served - soda, water, beer, cocktails; at good prices. We bought all of our kids fabulous souvenir cups for $7.50 and filled them with canned soda. The crew was awesome, the bartender was awesome. Nothing we would have changed with our experience. I was even able to shoot a YouTube video amid all the action! Loved this so much!! We will do this adventure anytime we're in town - BUT we do love action, humor, good folks and loud things!!!

At the end of the cruise, kids will receive a little wooden treasure box with some plastic jewelry.

We took this tour on a hot, sunny day after walking a lot in St. Augustine. We purchased tickets from one of the sidewalk trolly ticket stands for about three dollars less than if you purchase as the pirate store and a dollar less than if you ordered online. Please note, that even if you do this, you will still need to check in at the STORE before walking down to the boat to present your receipt. My boys enjoyed the tour and the show although I found the dialogue very cheesy. Additionally, this group missed an opportunity to inform their guests about historical pirates from the area and to tell some real stories. Instead we were the beneficiaries of several "drunken" pirate songs, a real let down. Due to Blackbeard's ship being "in the shop" we did not get to participate in a fight between ships which may have changed my review of the 1.5 hour cruise. The crew was nice and the bartender competent but this organization really missed an opportunity to deliver a better product for the price. For a $33 adult ticket and $24 for each child, I had hoped for more value: to leave with some knowledge in addition to a fun memory.

ABSOLUTELY the highlight of our St. Augustine trip. Truly wonderful booze cruise for adults with an adult sense of humor. Literally, the absolutely best people you will ever meet in the area. The vibe is so fantastic that I literally would book the whole ship just the experience the Rum Runner.

Of course, a few times we've just walked the length to appreciate Mother Nature's work. Pictures can't replace seeing "this" in person. Sometimes I go out of my way near sunset to drive down this street because the filtered sun through the trees makes the area look absolutely beautiful. The oak trees create a natural arch that gives you a feeling that you are driving through a tunnel and it is beautiful no matter where you enter. To me, this is one of the highlights of St. Augustine and it's just a street! The best part is...it's natural and it's free. It is one of the most photographed streets in the USA...and it's considered to be one of the most beautiful streets in the USA! WHOA! Both are completely understandable. If you are visiting St. Augustine and have been on the Trolley, then I'm sure you are aware of this street since they take you down it and tell you about it. Unfortunately, I see tourists caught up in visiting the Fountain of Youth and other things in that area and disregard the street. This is sad to me and they don't even know what they are missing. If you are planning a trip to this area...put this street on your list of things to see. If you are local (or fairly local) and haven't been down this street...now you have something else to do!

Coming from all over Florida, they were throwing down everything imaginable, from gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches to gourmet alligator to gourmet jambalaya...and don't even get me started on the desserts. Yes...it was nothing less than a Yelpers wet dream, and I'm so ecstatic to have been a part of it! Entree: I was practically jumping for joy when I found a food truck serving up fresh arepas (Apps Food Truck), since I'm a huge fan of the ones served at Tres Leches in Riverside. I went with the "Arepas Con Choclo," which consisted of melted white queso between two corn cakes and topped with pieces of thick cut bacon. It proved a very wise choice because it was absolutely divine. Made fresh to order, the saltiness and crunch from the bacon paired wonderfully with the hint of sweet from the corn cakes, with the bubbly cheese as the kicker. These arepas were also considerably larger than the ones at Tres Leches and cheaper at $5 a plate. Dessert: The day was hot and humid, so I was in the market for some light frosty refreshment....not that I wasn't tempted by the vast selection of other offerings, such as "apple pie pops" and "funnel cake sundaes." The Sweet City Gelato truck had a sign in their window that they were the "Delectable Dessert" winner from their last competition in May. I ordered a cup with 2 flavors, tiramisu and pistachio. With just the FIRST taste of this heavenly concoction I knew they'd be a shoo-in for the "dessert" category finals...if not the clear-cut winner overall. Now, I've had more than my fair share of gelato encounters, but NOTHING as creamy 'n' dreamy as Sweet City. Fresh, flavorful, not the least bit artificial tasting...I honestly couldn't have asked for better. Wrap Up: I thoroughly enjoyed this years event, especially since I was hanging out with some cool people at the Yelp station! Recently in 2017, on a portion of Charlotte Street, human remains were found during a water line excavation. From what I understand, these people go back to the original settlers who came with Pedro Menéndez in 1565. This is only one of many excavation examples in St Augustine in general. However, when you walk the street today and enjoy the beauty of the buildings and the street itself...it makes you wonder about the history of it no matter what portion you are on. As the saying goes, "If these streets could talk..." Today, you will find that this street is a little less traveled than other historic streets in St Augustine. It is just as beautiful and scenic...and probably even more so since you don't have as much foot traffic. Also, keep in mind that it is sort of split by the Plaza de la Constitución. There are wonderful restaurants on this historic street, in addition to beautiful private residences with architecture that is free to view (from the outside of course). Moreover, there are other businesses like a museum, bars, Hyppo, an art gallery, bed & breakfasts, and various shops to name a few. There is street parking on Charlotte Street in addition to a few private parking lots as well. Plus, it is within walking distance of the fort and the parking garage. Of course, there is street parking all over St. Augustine as well nearby. For those of you who have not checked out Charlotte Street or never heard of it...check it out! You won't be disappointed.

It most definitely didn't seem that way! They DID get back to me via text, but it wasn't in a quick fashion. I'd say an semi-acceptable fashion (within 8-12 hours.) Regardless, we DID get our event scheduled for a private tour with (15 people.) It was quite an expensive 'private tour' of the night of lights that was explained to me as tho the grinch (driving one trolly) and Santa (driving another trolly) would interact with one another (more than minimally) and make the tour exclusive to all 15 of us. They would hop off one trolly and interact with the passengers of the other trolly, etc. In reality, it was NOT a collective tour. The grinch separated from the other trolly and it was essentially two separate tours. Approximately 3-4 times they interacted with one another (acting as tho one would hit the other's trolly, yelling insults at Santa, responding to the grinch, and stopping at the 'duck bar' for the ambush together.) The address to initially meet at is kind of hard to find, even with GPS, as well! There is NO indication of 'the tasting tours' business name on the store front at the address. It is a Cuban bakery.' YES, we all had a good time.... But I don't want the rest of you that book a 'private' tour to be mislead or pay for something you won't receive. *** I also find it distasteful that the company charges an unprecedented amount of money for the trolly rides and then has the audacity to send an email asking for further tip for the trolly drivers.*** Whether a patron tips or not is up to them, not a business owner requesting it!
