The made in house maple scone here is TO DIE FOR. We got one freshly made, and it was just the right density and not too dry. We also had the breakfast burrito (add chorizo), two of the egg cups (basically a crust-less quiche), and iced americanos. The food was tasty, filling, and not too salty or greasy, and the drinks were well made (no burnt espresso). The staff were all friendly and helpful. Nice to sit inside or outside. read more

Fabulous coffee if you're in the Hailey area. I had the mason jar shaken iced americano and loved their use of brown sugar. My americano had a super creamy consistency that made it stand out from every other americano I've ever had. Staff was friendly and it seems like a cute neighborhood place. read more

Their espresso drinks are delicious; I had the dark chocolate cherry mocha latte and it was incredible. They also offer decaf espresso, which I appreciated since I'm several months pregnant. There was no line, the employee who helped me was friendly and very helpful with my questions, and the wait after ordering was super short. The views from the patio area are absolutely gorgeous and the space is neatly kept. The landscaping is very pretty and complements the views so well. The only reason this isn't a 5-star review is that there was some inconsistency with face coverings among employees, despite signage requesting customers wear face coverings. A bit confusing. This point will be irrelevant once the COVID-19 crisis subsides! :) But in the meantime may effect the decisions of cautious customers. read more

I'm the summer there's a great yard to sit outside with friends to enjoy your coffee and/or food. Inside is small but cozy. Greg the owner, is friendly, but not in your business. Spectacular! It's earned every five star rating and then some. A simple unassuming looking building from the outside but when I walked in the owner Greg greeted me right away and suggested the pressed panini and a CCR! Unreal! The panini with Marie Sharps habanero pepper sauce is fantastic! It's has just right amount of heat! The CCR (Coconut caramel revival) is absolutely ridiculously tasty tasty tasty with a dollop of coconut fat cream! A toasty roasty bold yet smooove cup 0 coffee. I'm visiting from Ca and stopped here for breakfast with my friend who moved here. It was so hot that we decided against getting coffee. The owner was so friendly and recommended their iced tea, which was amazing! We ordered the panini breakfast sandwich with eggs, potatoes and bacon, which was perfect with jalapeño sour cream and salsa. Best coffee! (I drive from Ketchum because Lizzy's is the only coffee place worth anything and they only serve coffee for three hours!) The crustless quiche is so delicious! The tuna panini was incredible. And the homemade almond cake dusted with powdered sugar is one of the best things I've ever tasted. While on vacation in Idaho we stopped in for a coffee. They had a panini pressed breakfast burrito that was awesome. They have some great dips and salsas to go with it. I ordered a dark mocha and the owner recommended it with brown sugar. It was the best mocha I've had. The next day we made a special trip back for coffee and I had a blueberry muffin which was very good as well. The staff and owners are very nice and courteous, I highly recommend this place. read more

Having come from the Seattle area I was floored to get a latte that completely retrained my sense of what "great coffee" is. The friendly, down-to-earth staff were more than willing to answer my questions as to why. Turns out their custom blend is the result of exhaustive R&D. It is absolutely wonderful. If you are hungry, try any of the menu items. The panini pressed egg burrito with jalapeno sour cream is what got my attention, while my partner went with a scone, one of many freshly made pastries and baked goods Both were far better than the price point would suggest. Truly a gourmet experience. The place is the brainchild of experienced gourmet high-end restaurant staff who obviously care about the high quality of the food and coffee, as well as the respectful service and comfortable, homey environment. Our favorite coffee shop in the valley. Greg, his wife and team offer great coffee and a wonderful menu of meals and snacks-we are obsessed with the Almond torte. It's got an easy comfortable vibe and everyone makes you feel right at home. Greg is meticulous with his coffee aesthetics and culture and it shows. Black Owl Coffee is a welcome site to Hailey! I love their coffee, and have tried many of them. Their scones and muffins are amazing and always fresh. I typically get their breakfast burrito which is great every time. We are always treated like their only customer even though its typically pretty busy.
