And there's good reason why it's been around so long! It's relatively inexpensive for its quality, and probably the best you'll get in BF. Korean food is amazing, especially when it's cooked right in front of you and you're surrounded by a number of side dishes (as all Korean BBQ places would offer). We ordered a batch of mixed meats to be grilled (pork, beef, chicken), which were done on our table. And by the way, Sam Won is the only Korean place I've been to where we tried grilling chicken. It's not really conducive for studying, but more for an intimate dinner with your significant other or a best friend with its cozy lighting and interiors that scream "tea party!" Kidding aside, while the interior's all girly-girly, I think it helps set the mood for the food you are about to enjoy. As for me, I had the Le JJ - a tomato, ham, emmental and gruyere cheese crepe served with a side of greens. Let me tell you though, the plate was lovely! The food was okay for me I guess, it's not too filling and I think it's a great option if you're looking for something light (plus nice to look at). On the side, I had a steaming hot pot of TWG Silver Moon Tea. The teacup itself is super pretty!!! I felt really dainty while drinking my tea and enjoying my crepe. One of the biggest things though about La Creperie is that they already had TWG tea on their menu even before the TWG restaurant came to Philippine shores, and on my very first La Creperie experience, Silver Moon was really, love at first taste so this is what I ordered when I stumbled upon this branch. Overall, I think La Creperie would make for a good date place (guys, please take note!) It has everything a girl will probably want to make the date picture perfect (and Instagrammable): pretty plates, pretty teacups, light food, pretty ambiance. It's well-lit and especially remote, with Craft getting a lot more attention (at least when I went). It's pretty surprising how girly and intricate the interior is designed - it definitely stands out from most establishments in the area, and in a good way. It's a bit small, but I've never seen it crowded. I was stuck there for an entire afternoon because of the rain with my friends, so we got to try quite a bit on their menu. Their crepes are yummy, warm, and fresh - perfect food to fight the gloomy weather and spirits. I got a familiar pasta dish - the pesto cream carbonara - which was really filling and not too heavy on the cream. Spent nearly P500 though, so I'll probably only be coming back to get some coffee when it gets too crowded in the nearby cafes.

I've been a fan of her work since I started getting into calligraphy that in fact, I first signed up last January for her Modern Calligraphy workshop. Since I came from family lunch, I arrived 30 minutes late in Cab Cafe. Anina was nice enough to help me catch up with my fellow calligraphy enthusiasts. She pretty much taught us the trick of the trade. We started off with learning about using watercolour. The different shades it gives depending on how much water you mix your paint with. She also taught us a few tricks like how to make gradient colors, mixing your paint and what color matches with what. For the next part of the workshop, each student was provided with a worksheet and a Zig Brush Pen which practiced us to get used to holding a brush. We had a few drills in our worksheet was pretty difficult if you weren't used to what you were doing. At the back of the worksheet, we were to write a few words over and over again to really get used to what we were doing. For our break, we were given some sandwiches and being the hung over woman that I was, I had that and an iced latte. But that's not important. Finally, to end the class, we were told to think of our favorite movie and to write it using our Pentel Aquash Brush Pens and some watercolour. Of course I had to jot down "The Little Mermaid" and "The Phantom Menace" and made sure to mix colors for my font. We ended the class by showing off our creations and having little chit-chats with each other. And of course, what's a class without a photo? It was a short afternoon of fun with people who want to take up a new craft. You get to meet new people, learn something new, and to top it all off, you're fed delicious snacks!
