The crew was very nice. However they had no idea how to do moving. I have significant damage to two houses and the majority of my furniture, mostly just scratches and gouges. But way too many damages to ever recommend them. They did not use furniture pads or take any effort to protect my belongings as we moved across town. During the move they continually ran into walls with furniture because they didn't look. I have 89 images of damage that I have to send in to their claim process. Completely unacceptable and something that doesn't happen when you hire professional movers. read more

After reading some Yelp and Google reviews, I was very hopeful when booking Black Belt Movers. Unfortunately, when the movers showed up this morning, their bad attitude, disgruntled disposition and extremely unhelpful attitude made for an impossible move. I was what I thought, very clear with the scheduling person on the phone with what I had in my apartment. A two bedroom apartment with a lot of stuff. Granted I didn't specify that I had shifted some of my boxes across the hall, but still. Same amount of stuff. They scheduled TWOish HOURS for this move in this system. From an apartment to a house across town. I was scheduled with three guys and only two showed up. They told me when they arrived "We have another move between 10:30 and Noon that we have to arrive for" and they got to my move at 8. I have no idea how they expected to move a full two bedroom apartment in that amount of time. And they didn't. On top of that. They didn't wrap any of my furniture, not with pads, shrink wrap or anything. Mind you, my furniture is all antiques and none of it was properly wrapped. One of the men moving was also smoking upon arrival at my home, flicked his cigarette into my yard. He was consistently spitting into my yard and on my driveway and was extremely rude to myself and my mother. They were shaking their heads, cursing and talking the entire day in an unfortunate manner about what a bad day it was. It was a horrible experience. We didn't get the number of people we had booked, they wouldn't even move some of my stuff because it was in bags and not boxes, which I wasn't told prior. It even says they will do it on their pre move sheet. Just a very negative experience. We had to have separate movers come later in the day from another company to unload other things. read more

Horrible experience, put a hole in our wall, bashed our furniture, cussed frequently and loudly with my whole family here (including kids). Cussed us out yelling out the window as they left. Yes we had a lot of stuff to move and some was heavy, but they got paid by the hour, took all day, got paid for breaks and asked my husband to retrieve the plastic wrap they left at the other house, which he did while they sat and snacked. (All on the clock). When my husband reached out with concerns after the move their customer service said they didn't care and that we assumed they were cussing at us. Knocked $80 bucks off a $1000 bill and still haven't arranged a repair to the wall. We try to give our business to local business but very much regret hiring this company. read more

B.B.M. offers amazing service! Shaun and his team moved us quickly and efficiently with no damage to our contents. They were very flexible in a last minute move date change based on us getting suckered by another company (don't ever get a pod unless you plan to store) and finding out we did not have enough room. Changed the date to the next day, they brought their truck and we were moved from out of one house and literally into another within 5hrs!!! This was 3bedroom plus 2 living room house. Unfortunately, my experience with Black Belt Movers was not great. Upon arriving at our house the mover in charge, Sean, had a terrible attitude. There was a miscommunication about how much we needed packed and instead of acknowledging the miscommunication he immediately got an attitude. It set the tone for the rest of the experience. Sean then got into a verbal altercation with one of his helpers that eventually spilled out into the street in front of our house . It was upsetting because this was on PAID time and because many of my colleagues live in the neighborhood and likely heard the commotion. He never acknowledged the incident. He then grossly over charged us for boxes, although he did credit us the difference after we brought it to his attention. Still the initial overcharge was completely unprofessional because he never apologized for or explained the discrepancy. Make sure to ask for an ITEMIZED RECEIPT and double count the boxes. I'd like to mention that his helpers, Tron and Sable, were delightful. They were sociable and kind in ways that Sean wasn't. They really turned the experience around and it was a pleasure working with them. However, I will say because of the miscommunication about the scope of work, they didn't complete the job and we still had do a lot ourselves. Luckily we allotted bonus travel time to accommodate the extra self packing and loading. read more

These guys made moving a much less stressful experience. My husband was reluctant to hire movers thinking we would be taken advantage of in some way and that we could do the majority on our own. However, on a recommendation from a friend, I called Black Belt. They came a week early to provide us with a quote as well as information on their process. Then, when our closing date fell through, they were very accommodating and were able to move our date without an additional fee. Caleb and Joel were fast, friendly, and careful with our belongings. They did not charge us more than they had quoted and they both seem to love what they do. Because of these guys, moving was almost enjoyable. read more

My wife and I have used the Black Belt crew twice - once to pack our old house and 8 months later to move us into our new home. Joel, Calob and Cody are all awesome - I would recommend requesting this crew specifically. I contracted with Black Belt movers for our home move and the experience was the most stressful ever! And I have hired movers before. It all started off fine, until about 10 minutes after their arrival. We hired them to only move furniture. They approached my husband and said we had bed bugs and that they couldn't do our move. They were helpful in recommending a pest control person, which we called immediately. They told us that if we could mitigate the issue, then they would be happy to do our move. But, here was the issue. The pest guy was at our house within 30 minutes after they left. He asked many questions and inspected the area in which the "bugs" were seen. He found one bug which was exactly like the one they showed us. He indicated that it was NOT a bed bug, it was a small carpet beetle and indicated that everyone has them in their home and they are harmless. He waited patiently as we called back Black Belt so that the pest control person could talk to them. All this time, I was very concerned that we had a real issue. I was so relieved when the pest control guy indicated it was nothing and then so frustrated when my husband spoke to Black Belt and they said that they wouldn't come back that ANY BUG is a liability issue with them! There is not a home anywhere that is without a small, bug, beetle, or spider! The pest control person said "Apparently, someone wanted the day off". I was very frustrated at the customer service that we received. We had to scramble to rent a Uhaul and beg friends to help us at the last minute. My husband had a triple bypass less than a year ago and lifting furniture should be the last thing he should do. But, unfortunately, he had to in order to make the move happen. We were able to get 2 Men and a Truck to come out the following day and haul the most heavy items....now THAT was customer service! I wasn't upset at their caution and hesitancy at doing the move if they thought there was a bed bug issue. My frustration was that they TOLD us to call them back. Less than an hour later, we did, with verification from a professional that there was no issue and they denied our business. I will never recommend them to anyone, because clearly, the person working the office phone that day, didn't care about treating the customer fairly. On the bright side, Springer Pest Control DID show was true customer service is and gained a loyal customer that day. read more

I used Black Belt movers after they were recommended to me by Dino's Storage. They are a wonderful organization. I have moved 7 times in 2 years for work and used other companies. NONE compare to the professional, clean, positive efficient movers that Black Belt has. Their office staff is very friendly as well. I had a lot of questions and they were friendly and police when answering. The guys were on time, worked very quickly but carefully. They talked positive about their company (unlike 2 men and a truck who were horrible) and truly took care in moving my items - they even wrapped a couple of things I didn't think I needed to. I will never use another company - I even posted their cards and flyers at the apartment complex where I live because I have been so impressed both times I used them. read more
