We wanted to get a loaded tea today, but they were closed even though it says open online.

Loved their menu as well. Although their mini cakes and other treats appealed to me as well, I opted to try their Taro Shaved Ice (they had 2 other flavors as well...think Mango and Mocha?). Well, their Taro Shaved Ice was PERFECT!!! The shaved ice was nice and dry, and the toppings (Boba, Lychee jelly, and Strawberries...even whipped cream on top) were generous and delicious! LOVED the place...and I can't wait to return! My husband will absolutely loved their version of Shaved Ice...What a treat to come!

It's spacious but still manages to feel cozy and charming at the same time. The vibe is adorable and a little hard to pin down. It feels like a mix between English tea time elegance and a bit of Spanish flair. It's unique and really something you just have to experience in person. I ordered the fancy carrot cake and it was exactly what a classic carrot cake should be. The flavor profile was spot on. Not overly sweet, not bland, just perfectly balanced with that warm spiced carrot cake taste. Paired with a cortado, it made the perfect little caffeine and sweet tooth moment. A great stop if you're wandering around Asheville and want a cozy place to sit with coffee and dessert.

My favorite parts are the aisle full of alllllll the sauces, and the wide selection of drinks ranging from canned boba to bottles of ramune soda. I was happy to finally find some hot sesame oil here in Asheville. The only downside is that it doesn't have the large selection of fresh meat and produce like other large Asian supermarkets I am used to back in larger cities. I'll definitely be back when I need some more Asian food items.

The stores isn't large, but it's pretty well stocked. I have been to the larger Asian market, YZ, and I think Lee's Asian Market has a smaller overall stock of things, but what it does have, you'll get several brands. For example, I needed Pandan extract. At YZ, I could only find the McKormick's Buco Pandan flavoring. At Lee's there were 3 brands of Pandan flavoring, including the Pandan flavored paste I was looking for, which is also sold by Amazon for about $6, at Lee's it was only $1.50 or so. The owner, a nice Chinese woman speaks English pretty well and is very friendly. That's somewhat rare in Asian markets. She walked me over to the steamer area and gave me some advice on using the bamboo cone, which is what I ended up buying. She also helped me find the frozen Pandan leafs. She is super sweet and nice, which I appreciated. I also found some fresh sticky rice and sweet banana cakes near the register. They had two square Banh Tet (Vietnamese new year cakes with mung bean and pork) as well. I haven't seen fresh cakes like that at the other Asian stores, so Lee's gets bonus points for this!

It's a great spot to read a book at or come to with a friend. The people who work here are really social and kind. My best friend and I were in town and wanting a little afternoon treat. I'm blanking on the name, but I really enjoyed their new watermelon coconut iced tea. My best friend got a butterfly pea iced tea. There is plenty of seating available. If you want more natural lighting you can sit at the front with chair and tables. If you want something more moody and intimate in the back they have lower tables and pillows for a more traditional tea experience. I highly recommend checking this spot out.

I personally really liked the traditional chai (it was very strongly spiced but was delish) I also loved the shop/ tea house aesthetic of traditional floor seating in the back and American seating in the front with regular tables. We had shoes off and sat on the floor. The food was delicious too. We got hummus and some other dip I cannot remember the name of. Service was good although our order was kind of messed up and half forgotten (was waiting for our hummus and had to go back up to ask about it). I will say I was pretty frustrated with the sizes of the food given. We got a hummus and only got four small pieces of bread to go with it. We had so much hummus left and no bread that we ended up having to go back up and buy more. I also was given what felt like the equivalent of 3 teaspoons of honey for a whole pot of chai tea. We went up and got more but I just feel like it's a bit stingy / skimpy I'd recommend coming in and checking it out. Next time I'd love to do more research on types of teas as many were unfamiliar to me
