I genuinely have no idea how this company has any decent reviews. We had a reservation until…read more12:30am. From 12-12:30am our driver was completely MIA and totally unresponsive. When we finally got ahold of him, almost 10 full minutes AFTER our reservation was over (which I was only able to do after leaving the venue to call him), we agreed to extend our time (not that we had a choice at that point) for a total of $165. We were off the bus by 1:40am (for a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes extra time). The next day, the company had charged us $247 (for 1.5 hours), despite our agreement on the cost, and despite us only going over by 10 mins (again, not entirely by choice). When I reached out to the company and explained that we agreed to $165 (again, only bc we were left with no real option), they were completely unhelpful and threatened small claims court if I disputed the charge with my credit card company (LOL). I'm sure there are other reputable car companies in this area, I'd look elsewhere. This level of utter unprofessionalism over $82 is a joke. Update: "Entire charge" in this instance meant the $247 extra I was charged, rather than the $165 I had agreed to (which was explicitly clear in my texts where I say I am only taking issue with being charged an extra 30 minutes for what was only an extra 10 minutes after being FORCED to extend our time). You would have known that had you bothered to ~even attempt~ a professional resolution (eg, perhaps a single question or a hint of an apology) instead of being immediately hostile and asinine---the below excuse seems like a lame attempt at pretending your response wasn't totally unreasonable (which it was). My review is accurate in all respects, including the timing. Being a "small business" doesn't excuse shoddy customer service and scam-y business practices.

During my first phone call, I was able to book a driver for 5 hours to take us to a winery in Virginia. Culdesac not only contacted me the same day, but they were the only ones who provided me with any form of communication, and I've yet to hear back from the other 2 companies. I had 11 people in my group and was suggested a 14 passenger Mercedes Sprint Van, picking up from IAD to downtown Washington for $275, which included tax and gratuity. I believe I spoke to Sammy, who was very helpful and friendly. Fast forward to February... The day before our trip, Sammy called me to reconfirm, and sent me our driver's name and number. A hiccup happened to our trip, and I sent Derek a text to come to the airport earlier than we agreed upon. Culdesac called to verify we needed an earlier pickup, Derek kept me in the loop of his transit time, and he came to the spot we told him we were at. Super professional! We decided to use Culdesac to take us back to the airport. Again the day before, I got a call and email reconfirming my pickup at 1:30 pm. We were told that Derek was going to take us back, but unfortunately a hiccup occured where his appointment was going to run over, so Derek texted me that someone else will pick us up, and not to worry. A few minutes after the text, Culdesac called me to say Derek was being replaced by Sam, and they texted me his number. Sam arrived at 1:15 in a 20 passenger van, just as nice as the Mercedes Sprinter, and even newer! It was also handicapped accessible, which was a good thing to remember if someone was disabled. He was just as courteous and got us to the airport safely and quickly. I honestly believe this company deserves 5 stars. They were professional, easy to get a hold of via email and phone, and communicated with me from start to finish. My lifelong buddy, whose daughter is my God-Daughter, chose Tangier for transportation to and from a hotel and her wedding venue nearby in Rixeyville, VA. He did the research before he chose Tangier and, as I demanded to cover the cost for this service, I did additional research. OK. So online, Tangier seemed to be a good bet. I could NOT have been more pleased. My conversations with Khalil both before and after the event were, believe it, enjoyable. He is easy to work with and most attentive to the needs of his clients. His "day after" call to make certain everything was to our liking was not surprising given my previous conversations with him. I will ever recall Khalil mentioning how Tangier drivers do not show up "on time". They show up well ahead of time to ease the jitters that always come when hiring such a service. Well .... Our driver, Reda, arrived to the hotel well before the clock started ticking. And was he a delight!
