My mother, daughter, and I came for a spring break trip to the Dells. We were looking for a breakfast spot and happened to drive by. We are so happy we went because the pricing was so reasonable, and the portion sides were great. The food was also delicious. The vibe us small-town and homey. My mother and I both got the huge breakfast, which had toast, pancakes, hashbrowns, and eggs. My daughter got the kid's meal pancakes with a small fruit cup and sausage (or bacon). Fantastic service that was fast and friendly. As someone who needs their caffeine in the morning, I was also very thankful that they were really on top of the coffee refills. read more

Took my wife here for breakfast Tuesday morning, July 17, 2025. Service was fine, food was awful. Dining room was too cold to be comfortable. I ordered the Howies big breakfast. It came with one egg which I ordered over medium but it came cooked to a crisp and tasting like plastic. The two pancakes were about the consistency of the metal plates used to provide access to the water valves in the street. They were cold dry and very dark. Pouring the cold low-grade syrup on them didn't help a bit. I would guess that they were premade hours earlier and served up stale. Toast was not really toasted at all with a small dab of butter at one end. Hash browns again looked to be precooked, dried out and burnt. What a disgusting & disappointing experience. Run away! They really don't deserve even one star. read more

First of all a great local atmosphere! The employees greet you with a smile and get you seated promptly. Being from out of town the folks working here are not shy to help you out finding things to do that cost you nothing. The biscuits and gravy were as advertised...so so good! Very tangy and scrumptious. My wife had the Denver omelette and was very satisfied with the size and flavor as it was stuffed with plenty of goods. The food was outstanding! I had a ham and cheese omelette and it was one of the best I have had. It was filled with great quality ingredients and was light and fluffy. The hash-browns set this place on the top for one of the best breakfast places in my opinion, soft buttery inside and crispy on the outside. This place is a must try for breakfast food in the dells!! We loved this place so much that we went back to back days for breakfast! The best part of this place truly is the staff, Carl is the best! We had some awesome banter about the Bears and Packers, they took a group of 7 right before they closed and didn't mind us holding them up! This place was truly great and the entire staff took great care of us! Their service was outstanding! The food is a different story......out of this world! The biscuits and gravy are special, they were delicious! I would eat them every day, my daughter is a true biscuits and gravy fan and she said they were the best she ever had! My husband and I got the BJs Special and that cheese sauce is good enough to eat off the bumper of a car!! , so yummy! The hot chocolate blew the kids minds it was so good! Pretty darn good breakfast at a decent price for a touristy area. Located right in the heart of the hotel and water park district it might be a great place to start your day before hitting the slides. It's not a huge place and I would imagine a big group of 8 or more might have a tough time getting a table, especially during high tourist season. I had the BJ's Breakfast which was really good! Ham, eggs and cheese on top of a toasted English Muffin. Yum! It reminded me of an Eggs Benedict without hollandaise sauce. Also comes with hash browns. The guy next to me had the Sausage and Biscuits which looked pretty damn good too! Even though the meals were reasonably priced, the drinks were on the high end. Almost $3.00 for Iced Tea that was not fresh brewed! No lemon. Maybe stick to water! Nice to find good, reasonably priced food in Wisc. Dells. read more

Our waitress was amazing(maybe her name began with an M and I want to say she said was 59?) but that's the end of the good things I could say about this place. The food was terrible. The bacon was either cured with plastic, cooked with plastic or made entirely of plastic. Whatever it's association with plastic was, it was horrible. The meal was just purely bad and my standards were very low going in. Idk if there are better breakfast spots in the dells, but I would be willing to try before coming back here read more

We had actually gone to another place initially, but due to the long wait and limited seating, we left and ended up here, but for the next time, we will now know where to come. We didn't wait long. Originally my wife and I were heading to IHOP but decided we would rather go to a family-run business. We were very thankful we did. Immediately we were met by a kind waitress who took care of us the whole time we were there. Coffee was refilled every 5 minutes and our food came quickly. I ordered the super breakfast and my wife ordered the big breakfast. Both entrees were delicious and came at a great price. It was so good in fact that we came back the next morning to enjoy the experience again! The cafe is very family friendly. For anyone who is craving breakfast food - go to BJ's! read more
