Walking in on a Saturday morning our group of three was seated immediately. The parking lot had space but the layout isn't great. The larger groups waiting for a table spilled into the lot. So be careful not to run anyone over... The theme is cute. The inside is a little worn. The plates and cups have grey marks from silverware. The restaurant is actually very big inside. The service was very prompt. I like that the selection of pancakes flavors was beyond what you usually find at an IHOP. They also do crepes and French toast etc. The portions were pretty big! I shared one a plate of pancakes with another person and we couldn't quite finish it. The pancakes were sweet. I don't think they used fresh berries for the compote. It was satisfying. I would say it's very standard pancakes. Nothing was worthy of taking photos of and posting on social media. It felt old fashioned and no frills. The service was fast and the food was filling. read more

My family of 4 were excited to try Mr. Pancake but we found it to be mediocre Breakfast at an inflated price. The parking situation was not good. We came late on a Tuesday and there's not a good sized parking lot.Line bled out into the road. It's an attraction. I get it. On its own not a problem. We were able to get right in dispute the crowd. That was great. The service was slow but the staff was friendly. We were very underwhelmed by the food. Waffles were bland and overly sweet. Pancakes the same. No butter at our table. Hash browns undercooked and overpriced. The vibe wasn't even that exciting for the kids. Just loud. I'm usually not this negative but we were very disappointed. read more

This breakfast spot opens at 7 but closes at noon. The décor really takes you back in time, it feels like stepping into an older era. The food was decent: pancakes, omelets, waffles -- all fine, nothing memorable. Overall, it's ordinary and not something to get excited about do the price. read more

Omg very very busy restaurant the wait was not long at all it is a huge building Very friendly staff our server was so polite with a huge smile our meal came out super fast The button milk pancakes were well executed fluffy moist and yum super delicious the milk very tasty compare to our milk here in Chicago the ambiance was cute and family friendly with stuff toys for sake very friendly family orientated I would have giving this restaurant 5 stars but something did not agree to my stomach and it was not just me but my other half too read more

The service was fantastic, and the food was good. Our granddaughter loved her pancake, I really enjoyed the Denver omelet, and my wife enjoyed her bacon & egg breakfast. read more

Great breakfast place right in the heart of the Dells. They have all the breakfast classics, and if you're feeling adventurous, you can even get ice cream on your pancakes or waffles! The coffee was great too. I had a cheese omelet with pancakes, and hubby had pancakes with bacon and eggs. Everything came out hot and fresh, and we hardly had to wait after ordering. The restaurant is open, clean, and decorated with photos of some of the original Dells attractions, which gives it a fun nostalgic feel. Friendly service and a great overall breakfast stop when you're in Wisconsin Dells. read more

Like most places in The Dells, this place is huge! So there's not usually too much of a wait. We were very pleased with the food and service. Our server, Mihai A., showed great command of his serving area. He was even able to pull off a late request to hold the powdered sugar on my husband's pancakes. Kudos to Mihai! Speaking of pancakes, my husband's Pecan Pancakes were first-rate! Huge and thick, they were flavorful and tender. Is it worth driving over an hour to dine here? Survey says, YES! read more

Food was mediocre, 1 persons food came out after every else was done eating. Waffle without butter. Server apologized and took off bill, but she also did not order buttermilk pancakes for another in our 4 person party. No big deal, but there are much better options. Go there instead. read more

Service is good here. If you're coming to get pancakes and coffee you'll probably like mr. pancake, but stay away from their hash browns and other items not pancake or waffle related. I had steak and eggs- paid 18.00 for it and am very disappointed. The steak was undercooked in the middle of the cut, it was not the best New York Strip cut. And was very thin. The eggs were over medium and overcooked. The sourdough toast slices were good but on the small side. For 18.00, I expect better. The lattes are good. The place is noisy which is ok. There are no booths so no barriers. Very open space. They want you out of here quickly when you're done. My server actually asked me if I was ready to pay- no big deal, but it was less than 5 minutes after he left the bill, and told me then I can pay him when I'm ready to pay - call me picky but VERY annoying. Honestly, I would not eat here again. read more

I like the service and I like when we came and they were happy And The food was great and you should Get the sausage eggs Also with sausage and eggs You should get the buttermilk pancakes read more

Pancakes came out cold and undercooked, we were seated quickly but had to wait a very long time for the waiter to actually ask what we wanted for drinks. Which was less than optimal due to how early you need to wake up to get here. The interior is cute, but overall didn't feel worth it Edit: While leaving, the waiter asked if we wanted more drinks. After saying no, the waiter proceeded to bring out incredibly watered down drinks, although not egregious it was definitely the icing on the cake read more

Mr. Pancake is kind of your standard, touristy breakfast spot in The Dells. The food also hit the spot. There were three in our party. I had hash browns and my son and husband had eggs, pancakes, and bacon. The food was good and it was filling. It's a busy place, but we were seated immediately. Overall, Mr. Pancake was a good experience. read more

Lots of seating. Tables are very close to one another. The crepes were good but they don't use fresh strawberries. The espresso was also good and they had decaf too. read more

So with a name like Mr Pancake I am expecting you to bring some seriously good pancakes out to the table. As it turns out they backed up their name with some great northern style pancakes along with some amazing cheese blintzes. We loved the building, it was open and you didn't feel crowded even though you could sit a large crowd with ease. I don't know if all of there service is as good as what we had, but I have a feeling it is. I definitely recommend this place for a family breakfast while in the Dells. read more

Tast amazing and is probably my favorite pancake I have ever had and I love the whip cream

First off, absolutely amazing across the board. The Swedish pancakes were phenomenal, added Nutella to them, the banana pancakes were huge and off the chart delicious!! My daughter LOVED the chocolate chip ones and I had the avacado toast which was the best I have had in a LONG time. The pickles red onions were a really nice addition to it. They have a cinnamon maple syrup that was not "needed" on the extraordinary cakes, but was a delectable addition. Needless to say despite the large portions, there were nothing left on plates. Unfortunate for me as I'm the clean up crew. Paula, our server was exceptional, very informative, timely and really really nice!! No need to go elsewhere, this place is the spot, prices were very fair. read more

Get the House latte with their homemade honey cinnamon syrup.! It's a heaven in a cup. Probably a little more honey than cinnamon and absolutely delicious. Every dish we ordered was great. I really enjoyed that the omelet want super greasy like some restaurants. If you get the hash browns with cheese, consider asking for light cheese. They really pile it on and it's a thick layer. read more

I want to start by saying I rarely write reviews but this time is different. I work in hispotality and I can't stay indiferent to the service here. Lets start positive first, the food is good, pancakes and omletes were good and coffee is tasty too. We went there this morning after watching the sunrise and we were ready for some nice food and coffee. From the start we were greated coldly by the server and after that everything we ordered seemed like an issue for him. We understand that it was busy but it never hurts to be nice. And here is where I got annoyed. On the menu explicitly says that for groups of 8 and more theres 20% gratuity, maybe he knew that he was rude and thought we won't tip so he added the 20% on group of 6. This was something out of the line for me and its not for the extra dollar or 3 it's about the attitude. Customer comes first and for our case that was not it. read more

Our waitstaff was friendly and accommodating, the food was good and the kids enjoyed it. I do wish that there were more vegetarian options (but that seemed pretty common to the Dells). It did take a little longer to get food because there were a couple big parties that ordered right before us. Can't speak to the bathroom situation. I will say to get there on the earlier side. When we left it was pretty packed after 8:30. read more

Great service the people are super sweet and the inside is a great vibe. Just got back from the Dells and this place was very popular. The service is rushed do to the massive amount of people. Food was ok, pancakes were the same I make on Saturday morning at my house so no big deal. My grandson ordered chocolate pancakes and complained that they were too sweet. Very noisy and not a place to relax and enjoy. read more

This is fine. The food was normal. I don't really like omlettes the way they are made in this region, but fine for what it was. My daughter really liked the strawberry french toast. My son ate some of his pancake. We were disappointed when the peanutbutter pancakes were just regular pancakes with some reese's pieces thrown on top. It was really dry and thick so I had to wash it down with the coffee which was too dark for me. This is probably fine for some people, but I can't rave about it. Also they were absolutely packed and some long waits. We kind of lucked out and only waited about 5 minutes. At least they were pretty cheap for the area and centrally located. read more

It was a delicious breakfast definitely worth the wait as it gets pretty busy. An interesting restaurant that's always packed and provides a selection of delicious sounding pancakes at reasonable prices and served quickly. While i liked the look and design of the food, I wasn't as impressed with the flavors and textures of the dishes. A lot of whipped cream, syrups, and sugars masked the base flavor of the pancakes. read more

Nice to find a restaurant that has great food and isn't overpriced in the Dells Area. I have eaten at this location at least 3 times and have always been happy with my meals. The unbelievable hashbrowns are the reason I always want to go back. Yes, this place can be packed during the high touristy season, so be prepared to wait. Or choose a different place to eat... but understand, there is a reason this place is busy! Only other drawback is it's only open for breakfast and lunch. read more

Kind of had a bad experience here. We came with our family and our 1 year old to have some breakfast and the wait for the food was long- our baby was screaming (not crying, screaming bc she was happy) because she's a BABY and the rude hostess kept giving us dirty looks. She made us feel very uncomfortable as there was nothing we could do about it. Definitely will not be returning, thought this was a family restaurant. read more
