I went back to PV twice and they suggested returning to Modern Focus as the lenses matched the script. The Dr at MF said my vision changed and gave me less of a correction. I feel her 11/25 script was inaccurate but she said no and charge me $60 for the new one because I didn't buy glasses there. What a rip off! PV is making my new lenses for free. Now that's good customer service. Oh, and I was the doctor's first appt of the day and she arrived 15 minutes late to work. Like my time isn't worth anything? Needless to say, I canceled my next exam. I went to Dr Gould for years and always received excellent care and customer service. MF could use a little training on both areas.

Dr. Weitzman got rid of it and worked on his other eye. My husband wore thick glasses and for the first time in oh 45 years now had 20/20 vision. He was in total shock. Now it was my turn (darn it) but it appears that I will also have 20/20 vision after wearing glasses for 30 years. I asked if there was another way I could provide the information because I was left-handed and would have trouble filling out the paperwork. The person I was speaking to went around the corner to ask someone else and I heard her say 'he can fill it out with his right hand.' I walked around the corner and said, 'you've got to be kidding me, there's no other way I can provide this information to you? What if someone has a disability, how would they do this?' The response was 'Their aid would fill it out.' I just took my insurance card and id and left while saying, 'or perhaps you could have provided the paperwork in advance, provide it electronically, or let me answer the questions verbally like every other office has been able to do.' I've had multiple first-time office visits in the past few weeks due to the broken shoulder. Very hard for me to politely explain how obnoxious and unnecessarily rude this was. Not to mention how out of line the response to the disability question was.

Then the week of the surgery I was told it was not done and I maybe could not get the surgery. Then It was I did not need pre-authorization at all and only 20$ would be due in office when previously they told me 5000$ would be due. I should have took the hint. Went to Joseph J. Thimons for surgery follow up after cross linking. First eye went fine. Second eye they removed the bandage the day after and then asked me that my surgery was last week, right? after they removed it. The pain was intense. Today at my month follow up we had this conversation: "my vision has been really blurry I'm having trouble seeing without my glasses" "How is your vision with your glasses?' "Fine but" "WELL if your happy with your vision with your glasses your all set if not see your regular doctor for a contact for the left eye people usually do well with that" Before the surgery I could read my PC screen no issues, only issue is distance. Right now I can not read my screen without my glasses. Going to have to go to another doctor that is maybe worth the time.

I had been doing well for over a year with no flare-ups, but this weekend, I developed a pretty severe case. Of course, the symptoms didn't manifest until Saturday morning, and I had an event on Sunday that I really did not want to miss. Fortunately, Dr. Cervantes was on call for the practice. I called the answering service and immediately received a callback. Dr. Cervantes could have easily told me to go to the ER and follow up with him on Monday. But he didn't. He met me at the office on both Saturday and Sunday and treated me in person. I was able to attend and enjoy my event on Sunday. Dr. Cervantes is a truly caring doctor. The office staff is equally as wonderful and got me in again on Monday to make sure we were headed in the right direction. I am truly grateful for the wonderful care I have received from Dr. Cervantes and his staff, and I cannot recommend Connecticut Eye Specialists highly enough!
