Went for the higher price service that was not an issue UPDATE: 7/12 I took my car to another auto shop to have the exhaust system serviced They were very honest about the condition of my car They recommended that I do not put anymore money/repairs into it because the frame is so corroded with rust it is not safe to drive, It will never pass inspection and It would be dangerous to keep driving it at this point. The point is .... I should have been notified of this when I originally took the car in for service the first time at the end of April If it was put on a lift to look at the exhaust system - it would have been discovered the car is beyond repair Since the exhaust was not serviced as requested I am assuming the car never made it onto the lift So yes - I am not a happy customer Over $600 dollars for a water pump that I did not need, exhaust issue not addressed and a car that will never pass inspection again More importantly- there where major safety concerns that could have been detrimental to me and my family if an accident have should happened Check your frame ppl. We also asked for a quote on our hood latch release, as it was no longer able to pop the hood. They completed and passed the inspection, and gave us a quote for something like $400 for the hood release. I'm handy and that quote seemed ridiculous, so we declined the extra work and I said I'd do it myself. Less than a month after getting the car back, the front brakes started to grind. We're talking metal on metal. How is this possible? They just looked at it and should have failed it for pad depth, or at least *warned* us about it. I've attached photos to show the blatant neglect and disregard for safety (and the law). I highly doubt they looked at anything if they missed something so brazen. As for the hood latch, my lazy self finally got around to doing it. The only issue was a $11 bracket being bent. The whole mechanism didn't need to be replaced, but they wouldn't know because they didn't look at that either. Looking at all these positive reviews is perplexing. As someone who does all their own car maintenance and basic repairs, this is the most dishonest experience I've ever had with an auto shop. Since the business seems to be monitoring the reviews page, the car was a 2016 Kia Optima on 6/16/2022, owner's initials are BB.

He only takes cash and does not give a receipt or documentation of work performed. We took it to two other places and both said that one of the emissions devices was not functioning. We took it to another garage & left it for work. Garage owner said that it appeared to not have had any parts replaced. His cost for fixing it was 239 dollars and you get a receipt and documentation of work performed. A very expensive lesson for me.

The owner was very helpful the next morning when I called, explained to me exactly what he was going to do, and got the work done in under 3 hours. My wheel barring had gone bad and had to be completely replaced. He sourced the part, had it delivered to the shop and the entire cost came out to only $275 (part = $140ish, labor = $70ish/hour). He allowed me to take my car to the ATM to get out cash for payment, and gave me a detailed full page receipt that included a 12 month warranty on the part and the work that was done. As a 20 something up in NY without my family, the owner made a difficult process as easy and stress free as possible. Would highly recommend for quick, quality service!
