We came in for happy hour on a Monday afternoon around 5 PM. We were promptly seated outside and noticed there were no other guests in the restaurant. We wondered if the food might reflect this but we were pleasantly surprised to find the opposite as the staff was more than ready to take good care of us. Drinks were phenomenal, food was terrific and Service was the best part! We received great recommendations from our server who delivered our food quickly. Happy hour was great as cocktails were $10 and wine was $6. Appetizers were 30% off and we tried a variety of items. Some of our favorite choices were the beet salad and shrimp primavera which was super fresh and had lots of asparagus and peas along with fresh pasta. Yum! I could literally eat the shrimp primavera every single day! So delicious. The chefs here absolutely know what they are doing. I highly recommend this restaurant

I had a fantastic dinner at Bitterroot! I sat bar side with Krystale and she was fabulous. The selection of cocktails were fantastic. They have a very large selection of liquors and wines. The food.. Oh my. This is food you could put up against some of the best cuisine out there. I had the Flounder Picatta which may sound different but trust it is worth the exploration! So light and airy but perfectly fried to have a little crunch without drying out the fish. I had their Banana Pudding to finish it off and it was delectable. It was a bit sweeter than I'm used to with the accompaniment of a caramel sauce but the presentation was fantastic. The one recommendation I'd have on the Banana Pudding is to pour your own sauce :) Not a negative but because I paid with card there was a 3.5% charge. Just a heads up if you're planning to come in, it might be worth getting some cash handy!

If you're lucky, you'll have the absolute pleasure of being taken care of by Kennedy. Her deep knowledge of the menu, spot-on recommendations for preparation, and genuinely enjoyable conversation made our experience at Bitterroot exceptional from start to finish. This is easily one of the best farm-to-table restaurants we've experienced. The food wasn't just excellent, it was memorable. With a Michelin-trained chef at the helm, the dishes feature unique, thoughtful pairings that truly make the flavors come alive. We honestly wish we could give this place 10 stars. It's a true local gem, not a touristy spot with cookie-cutter food, and those are exactly the kinds of places we seek out when we travel. We're so glad we found it and couldn't recommend Bitterroot more highly as the place to eat in Destin.

Bitterroot delivers a local, upscale experience without upscale prices. I tried Bitterroot for the first time on my most recent trip to Destin with my family. It was one of our favorite meals of the trip. Certainly my #1. Every food item delivered. The picanha was delicious, though some pieces were chewy. The burger was tender and full of umami. The drinks were all great. My favorite cocktail was the Billionaire. Their old fashioned is one of the best I've tried (plus they're only $5 all day Monday!!). Service was great throughout the night. My family agreed we will be coming back here next time we're in town.

This is the first time we tried this restaurant and really enjoyed dinner there. We made reservations for Sunday evening and service was great. The place looks very nice from the inside. I liked the ambiance. We ordered their Old fashioned with rye and their garlic hummus. The hummus was tasty and it comes with naan pieces. We also ordered their chicken parm but I made some changes. Instead of pasta, I got fresh vegetables. We also got their pepper filet mignon that comes with fresh beans and mashed potatoes but we replaced the mash potatoes with extra fresh beans. The food was delicious. See photos below. I loved their Banana bread cheesecake, which comes with pecans and caramel drizzled. Overall I liked this place and our total was $200 including tip. See photos below.

    Al Pastor Pork Steak!!! Wow!

I would give this more than 5 for today's experience!! Great drinks! Caesar wings were a bit different ..had an anchovy flavor and weird but hey we tried them just was not our favorite but enjoyed the creativity. Dinner: 3 of us one chicken piccata, one shrimp and grits, and I had the Al Pastor Pork Steak. We all tried all three and they were amazing. I truly enjoyed this pork steak as much as I had of any filet or ribeye in the area it was that good! But it was Pork steak!! Reminded me of my St. Louis roots but seared and crusty so delish! Thank you to the staff who were amazing also! We will be back and sharing our experience to all.

This was my favorite meal in Destin! We came in for an early dinner and were able to sit right away with no reservation (it was the off season). Our waiter was SO much fun and really enhanced our meal. There were plenty of options for all diets. We enjoyed the arancini to start, then I had the grain bowl for dinner. It was light, healthy and delicious! My husband loved the hand pies as well. The restaurant was clean and the decor was gorgeous. I would absolutely return when in the area.

Everything about our dining experience was amazing - from the decor to the food to the service. HIGHLY recommend. After eating all the seafood we could handle on our vacation, I was looking for something special for our last dinner in Destin. I found Bitterroot on Yelp and everything looked great in the pictures. The cocktails were good looking and tasty. We ordered the arrancini, the goat cheese flatbread, split a Wagyu burger and fries with the Harbison fondue, and dessert was bread pudding with bone marrow ice cream. (Yes, it sounds weird, but it was really delicious!) All of the food was perfectly prepared and lovingly presented. I wish we had room to try more of the dishes. The music was right up our alley and we sang along through most of dinner. The servers even sang a little bit as well. They were amiable and light-hearted, when my partner jokingly requested that they box up an errant mushroom that had fallen on the table, they swooped it up and returned with it in a to-go cup LOL Give them a try, I promise you won't regret it!

A+ restaurant. This is a hidden gem. The wings, duck, salmon, beet salad. Everything we had was great. The cocktails, Storm chaser and espresso martini were perfect. Highly recommend this place. Great environment and excellent service.

Beautiful dinner and service! Could not have asked for a nicer night out. Pretty restaurant and the waiter went out of his way to make it a special night.

Disappointing. The crab legs were overcooked: ie: spongy. They did give us a discount. But I was so looking forward to that rare treat.

We had the stuffed flounder with crab, the skirt steak, And the chicken Marcella. Each plate was cooked with the perfect seasonings that accented and brought out the flavors of each dish. You won't be disappointed if you came for lunch or dinner. Don't worry about having to be all dressed up, as this restaurant is very casual. It looks nice inside, but the owner, Staci says, "come as you are; casual attire is fine." Met the owner today, Stacey. Most dinners on the menu are around $40 and kids meals are $15, and I would say this is a fair price. I got the stuffed flounder and my wife got the salmon and we were impressed. I would say they did take advantage of us with pricing on two things we ordered. I ordered a side of plain mac and cheese and was charged $15 for it. And my daughter got a glass of milk and was charged $5 for that drink. That price seemed tacky and out of touch. Overall would still recommend this restaurant.

We felt very under dressed for this restaurant but, you wouldn't know it based on how we were treated. We were kindly greeted at the door and offered a table right away. We opted to sit at the bar because we were in a hurry wanted to place a to-go order for a pizza. Our bartender was very kind and accommodating, He answered all of our questions and made recommendations. All of the pizza offerings looked fantastic. We settled on the Calzone Genovese, even though this was a calzone there was no problem making it into a pizza. The wood fire pizza oven was in the center of the restaurant, so we were able to watch them make our pizza. It had ricotta cheese, mushrooms, pesto, and caramelized onions. It was very good and a nice change from a pizza with classic red sauce. The pizza crust had a good amount of char on the bottom with just the right amount of thickness. I would recommend Mimmo's to anyone and will definitely return if I am ever back in Destin.

Loved this Pasta lobster dish - 5 stars, also absolutely delicious. Perfect cook on the lobster, house made pasta, just wonderful. Tiramisu - 3 stars, it was delicious, only complaint was the lady fingers were not soaked in coffee. And they placed chocolate syrup on it, not sure why. Bread pudding - 2 stars, it's not traditional bread pudding. It came out in slice of cake form. The ratio to Carmel bourbon syrup was way off. It was more apple spice cake than bread pudding in my opinion. We would definitely go back for the pasta and house bread, while skipping apps and desserts. We would recommend this place for pasta!
