I have been taking my computers and laptops to Bits and Bytes for quite a few years. They are always explain the problem in layman's terms. Once fixed my PCs have always run great. I took both of my laptops in a couple of weeks ago because neither would turn on. They diagnosed the problem within a couple of minutes and didn't charge me. I would have gladly paid, but it just shows the kind of organization that they are. I'll start off by saying the staff was very friendly and professional. I brought in my computer which was turning off by itself due to an unknown problem. I brought it in and asked for a full diagnostic($80). Within an hour they found out it was the CPU and it wasn't powerful enough for the computer. I had them put in a new one and about 4 gigs of ram on top of that cause I wanted it anyway. All was done in half a day(now your results could be different depending on workload). I will NEVER do business with establishment again. I brought my computer in last week thinking it was a power supply issue and received a call that in fact it was along with a video card and they recommended the hard drive be replaced due to interment issues. Well when I get my computer home I find that I have NO data on my hard drive-ZERO. The communication from the staff at this business is terrible. Don't try to save money by going to this business, spend what ever extra it may cost to find a shop that knows what they are doing because these guys are idiots! Excellent customer service, knowledgeable and fair prices. I went in with a track pad issue (ribbon cable lock broken). Dell support could t help me. These guys quickly recommended a solution, ordered the part and it arrived a day ahead of schedule. I asked if I could install there in case I ran into problems, which I did. The staff checked out what I did and all looked good. They went the extra mile and found I just needed to reinstall the driver...no charge for the troubleshooting! Yesterday, I was very upset with a physically damaged external portable hard drive. I walked in and the guys there immediately were helpful and able to give me an answer on if they were going to be able to help recover my harddrive. They took minutes out of their time to get me an answer when they could have just charged me the diagnostic fee and the express fee to look at it. After they gave me the fateful news that the harddrive would have to be sent off for data recovery - I asked them please let me pay the fee and they told me that there was no charge. I appreciated their compassion for me and their willingness to help me with the options I had with my harddrive. read more

I was so disappointed in this store. Called ahead about 15 min before closing (didn't know the timing) to see if they had a special cable. They said they had it and I told them great, I am on my way. Upon driving, I noticed the time and thought surely that would have told me that they are closing in minutes, right? Well, they didn't . When I called them I told them I was minutes away and I may be 5 minutes beyond closing. He said that he would not wait and they opened in the morning and was very rude about it.
