Happened to stumble onto a Romanian café on one of my frequent jaunts to Cardiff. As I meandered through the Castle Arcade/Duke Street arcade in Cardiff I found thus place. In fact so impressed I was on my initial visit I followed it up with a second look a few weeks later. Bitelicious is a small café offering an assortment of snacks, sandwiches, soups etc. But what I like is the jokey/playful Dracula-Transylvania themes the cafe has with the pictures/posters and indeed the merchandise. More importantly the food, with the Romanian delicacies which were flavoursome and something unique for Wales. Whether it is the succulent Romanian sausages or the Brasova (deep fired crispy pancakes with different meat fillings served with sour cream) N.B. the pancakes are named after the city of the same name. There is a selection of beverages and soft drinks too. Finally the service is very warm, friendly & inviting. In all well worth checking out is you fancy a taste of East Europe. read more
